Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 Tacit Cooperation

Watching the three of them regroup, Kakashi felt a sense of relief.

He had heard every word of their conversation.

But would he let them pass just like that?

No, the test wasn't that simple.

After replaying the first chapter of the game multiple times, Kakashi felt the original bell test was a bit outdated. So he had tweaked it, leading to the current situation.

Sasuke charged at Kakashi with a kunai in hand, while Naruto gave Sakura his last kunai.

The two of them ran toward the other bell.

Kakashi was pleased with their teamwork, but passing the test would require more than that.

Seeing Sasuke charging at him, Kakashi reluctantly turned off his phone and focused on dealing with Sasuke's attacks.

He didn't use any Jutsu or pull out a kunai, simply dodging Sasuke's strikes.

"When you attack, you need to see where your opponent is. What are you afraid of, Sasuke?"

Hearing this, Sasuke's attacks became even more fierce.

Seeing this, Kakashi sighed slightly and said, "Combat isn't child's play. You can't just attack blindly and expect to win."

"As a Ninja, you need to stay calm and not let your emotions control you..."

As he spoke, Kakashi suddenly stuck out his right foot, tripping Sasuke, who had been focused solely on attacking.

Kakashi sat on Sasuke and instinctively reached for his phone, but realizing it wasn't the right time, he pulled out a copy of Icha-Icha Paradise instead.

At this time, Sasuke, who had been silent, sneered, "Heh... by now, they've probably already gotten the bells. You fell for it."

Kakashi didn't even close the book. With a single Body Flicker Technique, he appeared next to Naruto and Sakura.

"Raikiri!"

Kakashi held the Raikiri in his hand, facing the two of them. Naruto and Sakura were close to the bell, almost within reach.

However, at this moment, Sakura drew her kunai, only to find Naruto stepping in front of her.

"Sakura, grab the bell! I'll hold him off!"

Kakashi casually dispelled the few clones Naruto had summoned and returned to his original position.

"Not bad. You've got guts."

At this time, Sasuke had gotten up and charged at Kakashi again. Sasuke had fallen close to the bell.

Just now, while Kakashi had been busy stopping Naruto and Sakura, Sasuke could have easily grabbed the bell.

However, for Kakashi, whether they could get the bells was entirely up to him. Even if the bell was right next to Sasuke, Kakashi was confident he could stop him with a Body Flicker Technique.

The distance between the two bells was almost the maximum range of Kakashi's Body Flicker Technique, and his speed was comparable to the Flying Thunder God Technique.

However, it is only comparable. A normal Body Flicker Technique was a Ninjutsu-Taijutsu hybrid, and there was still a movement trajectory, meaning the farther the distance, the more time it took. It couldn't compare to the instant teleportation of the Flying Thunder God Technique.

And in terms of space, the Flying Thunder God Technique could ignore distance limitations, while a typical Jonin's Body Flicker Technique couldn't cover extremely long distances.

Kakashi wasn't sure if it was his imagination, but his Body Flicker Technique felt much easier to use today.

It felt like his maximum range had increased, perhaps because of his enhanced stamina and Chakra.

But he didn't connect it to the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Seeing Sasuke rush toward him instead of going for the other bell, Kakashi nodded silently.

'It seemed that Sasuke, as the last Uchiha, still embodied the clan's virtues of loyalty and honor.'

'Good. Time for the next phase of the test…'

Naruto fought while running, constantly summoning shadow clones to distract Kakashi, while Sasuke charged in with his attacks.

Kakashi, facing the two of them, had initially just been dodging.

However, the longer the fight went on, the more he felt something felt off...

'How come these two are so good when they work together?'

There were one or two times when Kakashi had no choice but to block their attacks because he couldn't dodge.

Naruto and Sasuke, who hadn't gotten along well at the Academy, now showed incredible teamwork at this time!

It was as if their combined strength far exceeded what should be possible for their age!

If their individual combat power was 5, together, it was at least tripled!

This level of cooperation is like... a tacit understanding engraved in the bones.

Kakashi felt that even he and Obito, after specialized training, had only reached this level of teamwork during the Kannabi Bridge mission.

At other times, they had been slightly worse.

'These two are truly exceptional... but the test isn't over yet!'

Kakashi continued to dodge while keeping Naruto from reaching the bell.

Sasuke kept chasing Kakashi, but after countless attacks, he started to lose focus.

'Wait... why hasn't Naruto gone for the bell yet? Is he messing with me?'

Naruto, on the other hand, was frustrated, as every possible path forward was blocked by Kakashi.

He glanced at Sasuke in doubts, as if to say, 'Why can't you hit him? Are you messing with me?'

The two exchanged a look, seemingly understanding each other's thoughts...

Naruto used the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu again, and after the smoke cleared, dozens of Naruto's clones filled the field.

At that moment, one of the Naruto clones threw a kunai, but its aim was way off.

Sasuke wasn't surprised by this. The 'dead last' had always been like this at the Academy.

But then he realized, 'Didn't Naruto already give the last kunai to Sakura?'

'The person who had gotten the bell couldn't join the fight, which means Sakura couldn't throw the kunai back.'

Sasuke quickly glanced at Sakura's position. She was still holding the kunai, standing in place and cheering them on.

'So where did this kunai come from...?'

Sasuke instantly thought of a possibility, 'So So that's your plan, Naruto.'

Without hesitation, Sasuke formed hand seals and used the Uchiha Clan's signature Fire Release Ninjutsu.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
