Steam curled thick around them, curling like silk around Hael's arms as he drew Amber in. She tilted her face up, her breath catching softly at the touch of his lips. And then she gasped again—but not because of him.
Because the water changed.
It warmed suddenly, perfectly, like it was listening to her body. Like it loved her too.
Hael's magic glowed faintly along his forearms, like sunlight seen through river water. He didn't speak. He didn't need to. The spell was cast with intention, with emotion, with the deep, aching reverence he held for her.
His hands slid down her hips, but she felt them also at her back, her neck, her thighs—whispers of touch where his hands weren't. Amber's eyes fluttered closed, her lips parting with a stuttered breath. "What are you…?"
"Letting you feel everything I want to do to you," Hael murmured. "All at once."
