Unlike Snow Yeti, Wendigo had Cold Enhancement right from the start. Cain also didn't need to modify the terrain a lot because the monster could use its special skill to freeze a normal cave, allowing him to spend Coins to modify the monster's Trait instead.
Also, it was originally so tall that it didn't fit the cave, so Cain had to modify its appearance to only appear 2.5 meters tall.
"I think this Wendigo is the reason why Elemental Tower reached E rank. Too bad this strong monster had to be weaker after I changed its size. What a waste of Coins."
In fact, he only planned to make this dungeon as a place where the challengers could get used to higher difficulty dungeons. That's why he didn't put an impossible to beat monster as a boss.
Wendigo alone cost him 1,500 Coins to buy. When he looked at its status before modification, its STR and VIT actually reached B rank in cold condition. However, he modified its size and resulted in the decreased rank of STR and VIT.
"If only I could see its status back then, I wouldn't modify it." He sighed in disappointment.
Still, Cain had no regret for making it. This boss was already strong enough for his second dungeon.
He then watched as the Wendigo tried to claw Rias. The boss' attack was fast, and it was able to hit her. But it only grazed Rias and knocked her off balance.
Seeing her friend was about to get attacked, Sona used water magic to slow the Wendigo down. This gave Rias a chance to dodge.
The Gremory heiress rolled on the ground, her body bruised, her eyes still burning with hatred and vengeance.
She didn't hesitate and immediately shot a large ball at Wendigo's body, creating an explosion that shook the dungeon. She followed it up with another barrage of balls, aimed at the boss monster's body.
"Grrrr!" Wendigo, sensing the incoming attack, moved quickly and managed to avoid the attacks. The ice on the ground was destroyed and thrown around.
Sona then created a wall of ice and blocked the incoming attack, protecting Rias from being hurt.
The Gremory heiress didn't hesitate, and shot her destruction balls, one after another. She spread her magic further, her aura spreading through her body.
Without caring for the injuries, she used the destruction factor to cover her body, and began to shoot her magic at a rapid pace.
The power of destruction spread through the room in a massive blast, and the Wendigo roared in pain as its body was torn apart. The room was filled with the sound of explosions.
The ice wall was broken, and Sona, the Sitri princess, had to retreat to avoid getting hit.
"BOOM! BOOM!"
Another wave of destruction came out from the power of destruction and struck the boss.
The Wendigo roared in agony as it was torn apart. Its body ripped into pieces and its bones cracked. But still, its body started to regenerate, healing the injuries. However, the damage was too great for the regeneration to keep up, and it fell down on the ground with a thud, bleeding profusely.
"GAAAAAAA!"
Wendigo cried, its body writhing in pain. The monster tried to get up, but its legs failed and it collapsed.
Watching what happened on the screen, Cain was honestly surprised.
"Is Rias always this strong? It should still be early in the series, seeing Asia hadn't joined yet. However, just anger alone is able to increase her power so much? Or maybe she is always powerful?" Cain stroked his chin, wondering.
"Whatever it is, this is my chance. Wendigo's HP is almost depleted, so I should use this chance to make an appearance."
On the screen, Rias could be seen gathering power to deal the final blow. A large destruction sphere hovered on her palm, and she was ready to throw it at the Wendigo. It was almost the same size as her body. The sphere glowed brightly, and the energy inside it was powerful.
But, just as Rias was about to throw it, she was interrupted.
"Oh, brave challengers of Elemental Tower. I commend you for your bravery."
Suddenly, the Wendigo stood up. The wounds that were covering its body were still bleeding, and its body was shaking.
However, as if it didn't care, the monster raised its hand, stopping Rias' attack at the price of its arms. The right part of its body, from shoulder to waist, turned into smoke.
But the Wendigo didn't seem to be bothered, even after getting destroyed. It only laughed at them.
"Such a strong attack. Fear not, this monster shall not attack anymore. I, the Dungeon Maker, want to praise you directly as well as reward you. Tell me your wish and I shall grant it."
Controlling the monster, Cain couldn't help but smile widely.
'I always wanted to say such a line!' He shouted in his heart, laughing maniacally.
Rias and Sona, however, were dumbstruck. They couldn't believe that the monster could speak. Not to mention, it said something about dungeon maker and a reward.
"What is the meaning of this?" Rias, who had just recovered from the surprise, demanded.
Sona, meanwhile, narrowed her eyes and asked, "What do you mean, Dungeon Maker?"
Cain laughed, "Oh, you are not aware? Then I shall explain. My name is Dungeon Maker. I created this dungeon as a challenge for brave warriors. Those who enter and finish the challenge shall be granted reward. And as the first ones to finish this dungeon, I shall grant you one wish. Tell me, oh Princess of Gremory and Princess of Sitri. What is your deepest desire?"
Hearing their identity, Sona frowned. She was about to speak, but Rias beat her.
"Revive them! Bring Issei, Koneko, Yuuto, and Akeno back from death! If you can't, then I will destroy you! I swear on my name!"
Hearing the answer, Sona widened her eyes and looked at Rias in disbelief. It was true that the Gremory princess had just lost her servants and lover, but to wish for their return... It was absurd.
No being, except for the biblical God or someone as strong as Him, could revive them.
"It shall be done."
... Or so she thought.
"Wait, what?" Sona asked in disbelief, "It is possible?!"
Cain nodded Wendigo's skeletal head, "Yes, of course. I am the Dungeon Maker, and I have the ability to grant any wish, even to revive the dead."
Rias' face brightened when she heard that, her hope for bringing her loved ones back alive.
However, she was not as naive as she looked. She had heard of many cases of demons getting tricked, so she was cautious and decided to question the dungeon maker.
"How are you going to do it? Are there any side effects? Is the cost too great?"

Note:
Rias' strength is temporary, just like Issei back when he fought Vali and show more strength than usual due to intense emotion.
Usually she's weaker than this, but the madness makes her a bit stronger.
