Chapter 52 - 50. Time Disorientation (Part 2)

Kyosuke Fudo took Hayashi Yoshiki over to another room to check.

The main examination items were head CT and MRI. Because Kyosuke Kazato jumped the queue, the speed of examination and obtaining report was astonishingly fast.

About half an hour later, the two returned to the psychological treatment room where they had been at the beginning.

Kyosuke Kazato sat in his seat, holding the examination report and lost in thought.

"Good news, according to the examination results, there is nothing abnormal about your brain, Mr. Hayashi."

"Also, according to the psychological assessment, you don't seem to be anxious or stressed. You can even be said to be very healthy..."

"Mr. Hayashi, did you notice when this phenomenon of difficulty understanding dates began?"

He didn't find anything peculiar.

"I can't be sure exactly when it started, but I can basically remember the time that has passed."

"So..."

Kyosuke Kazato began to think.

After a moment, he leaned forward and took a conversational stance.

"Then let's test it. Mr. Hayashi thinks tomorrow will be April 8th. What is the basis for this conclusion?"

"Hmm. In terms of Arabic numerals, Mr. Kyosuke, the natural number after 7 is 8, right?"

"Yes."

"So today is April 7th. According to the Arabic numerals, shouldn't tomorrow be April 8th?"

Kyosuke Kazato frowned, "But tomorrow is April 13th, Mr. Hayashi."

"…"

Difficult to stretch.

Hayashi Yoshiki's good upbringing allowed him to keep a calm expression, but the smile on his face was somewhat restrained.

This is also the reason why Hayashi Yoshiki always calls Kyosuke Kazato with "Sir" instead of "Doctor". He clearly realizes that this is not his problem.

"Mr. Hayashi's profession is a mystery novelist, and he occasionally does detective work... I'm wondering if you may have inadvertently immersed yourself too much in the creative process, which caused some psychological implications for yourself." Kyosuke Kazato said hesitantly, "It may be unbelievable to say this, but Mr. Hayashi should have heard of some actors who have been 'too immersed in the role' and have difficulty getting out of it, right?"

"Yes, I have heard of it."

Hayashi Yoshiki nodded, then laughed: "I also learned about the psychological suggestion that Mr. Kyosuke mentioned from some psychology books I have read recently. In this regard, should we prefer hypnosis therapy?"

"Yes, hypnotherapy may be helpful. Mr. Hayashi, can you tell me about the book you read recently?"

Hayashi Yoshiki reported several book titles.

"There are a lot of different books on the market now. Some books that claim to be hypnotic therapy actually promote pseudoscience. I have read some of the books Mr. Hayashi mentioned, and they are not bad. But if you are interested, I can recommend you a list of books."

"Then I'll trouble you, Mr. Kyosuke."

"Okay, let me first talk about the issue of 'time disorientation'."

"…"

"According to my opinion, 'person', 'place' and 'time' are the positions of people in this world. Person is the position of race, place is the position of civilization, and time is the position of existence."

"Positioning is a kind of responsibility. Structuralism believes that only when the subject recognizes the positioning can he play himself according to this role and thus complete his mission through this positioning."

"In essence, people develop from their relationship with themselves. The part of people that thinks about themselves beyond themselves is called the self, which is also the prototype of people's character orientation-"

"…"

Time is the positioning of existence.

When he noticed this, Hayashi Yoshiki's heart couldn't help but move.

Existence... As a person who has traveled through time and space, he cannot forget the fact that he is a traveler. For this reason, he cannot completely regard himself as a "local" and cannot wholeheartedly identify himself with "existence" in this world.

Perhaps it is for this reason that he suffers from "time orientation disorder" due to the special time changes here. Because he doesn't belong to this world and has no position in this world

"We could definitely try hypnotherapy."

Kyosuke Kazato finally made the conclusion.

"Okay, but Mr. Kyosuke, do you think hypnosis can make people hallucinate?"

"This is theoretically possible. After all, modern science's exploration of psychology is just the tip of the iceberg. There are still many unknowns to be explored in the human subconscious."

Kyosuke Kazato said this, probably because he had answered similar questions many times before, and said with a wry smile: "Mr. Hayashi, I need to make it clear in advance that please do not have unreasonable expectations for hypnosis."

"I see, let's get started then."

Hayashi Yoshiki revealed a smile as ethereal as smoke.

Just as Kyosuke Kazato was ready to use words to guide Hayashi Yoshiki to relax, a flash of red light came into his sight.

In fact, Hayashi Yoshiki had been releasing hypnotic gas as early as when he entered this treatment room.

While his mind was in a trance, his body had already changed from a relaxed state to a slightly leaning forward posture, which was more suitable for telling and observing.

"Mr. Kyosuke."

"Yes."

"When people are hypnotized, they are more likely to accept external suggestions. Compared with verbal guidance, do you think visual guidance can produce a more intuitive effect?"

The one-hour psychological consultation, excluding the examination time, is over.

While Hayashi Yoshiki was leaving the Beika Pharmacy Hospital, he called Kisaki Eri.

He briefly explained the results of the examination and mentioned that it was just a simple "time orientation disorder" and it would not affect his life, which made Kisaki Eri feel relieved.

After today's conversation, Hayashi Yoshiki felt that he had gained a lot. For this reason, he made an appointment with Kyosuke Kazato to have psychological counseling every seven days.

And it's not even 4:30 in the afternoon yet.

Driving to a traffic light, Hayashi Yoshiki took advantage of the red light to make another call:

"Hello, Yoko?"

"Well, I'm done. How's the filming going on your end?"

"Will it take another half an hour?"

"Then please tell me the address. It's probably about the same time I can go there now."

"It's no problem."

"Okay, see you later."

After hanging up the phone, Hayashi Yoshiki drove over to the address sent by Yoko Okino.

Miss Idol is currently recording a TV show and happened to have an early shift today, so she happily made an appointment with Hayashi Yoshiki to go to the Chinese restaurant she talked about last time.

Hayashi Yoshiki rarely refuses people.
