[Mash POV]
hey guys, Mash here!
Right now i am chilling inside of a helicopter that will be headed to a island where there is an academy that teaches children cardgames alongside intoducing to the students about blatant class discrimination and favoritism, oh yea, spoiler ahead, the island also houses a secret underground lab where they fucking teach a monkey how to duel, literal god cards also being sealed underground on the island like a ticking time bomb to some Big ahh antagonist, and also did i mention that the island has a LITERAL FUCKING ACTIVE VOLCANO IN THE MIDDLE OF IT!
[eh, its yugioh, where sometimes the fate of the world revolve around children card games alongside a group of teenager. this is probably something minor.]
well, i shrugs it off because it was anime logic bullshit at play here. anyway, inside of the helicopter is actually pretty decent, because i thought i would be riding on some military helicopter, but it actually feel like an economy class airplane. it have a 8x4 seats with 2 seat on the left and right, and right now, i am sitting with bastion besides me, and he is on the seat with the window next to him [because i lost the rock paper scissor, dang it!] also jaden and syrus was sitting on the seats in front of us.
then a speaker buzz can be heard, Pilot: bzzt, Attention new duel academy students, please make yourself comfortable on the kaibacorp passenger helicopter as we will be arriving on academy island at approximately 24 hours.
[fuh... i need to wait a day, huh? in the anime, on episode 2 of YU-GI-OH GX, it starts off with the helicopter already arriving on the island. but because there is no timeskip, because this is real life for me, i would need to endure the entire trip. atleast i can have some conversations started with Bastion]
i looked to my right, bastion was seeing the vast blue ocean on his window seat [i am so jealous! >:( ]
Mash trying to be : hey, Bastion!
Bastion looks at me with one eyebrow raised: yeah..?
Mash: what kind of deck do you like to play?
Bastion smirks, as he crosses his arm, looks downs and close his eyes acting all cool and shit: i dont have a deck that i like to play. i will create and construct decks based on multiple mathematical principles.
[Mash: m-mathematical what now? how the fuck do you construct a deck out of a goddamn math equation?!]
Bastion: and also what kind of decks my opponent would be using. though at present, i have developed six decks, each one of them with their own strength and weaknesses, that i can switch, or combine, depending on my opponent. or i can make a new deck if i want to.
Mash: wow, your amazing, bastion! can you demonstrate and showcase to me about those 6 decks? no, actually just showcasing 1 would be enough.
Bastion: hmph, i can even give you all 6 of my deck for you to look at personally, if i wanted to.
Mash with his eyes widening: Really!? [wait a minute, this is too sus-]
Bastion: on the condition that you tell me about your cards. "labrynth", is it what you called them? i have never heard of those cards before, and when i checked and searched on them, i couldnt even find a single info about them... and also, care to explain about that special summoning, and talking, that your Lovely labrynth did at the practical exam?
[ah, fuck! i got myself biting the tigers tail! but, dont worry! Mash here, have just the technique to get me out of this situation!]
i would looked to the left away from bastion view, cross my arms and also legs. and then i would make a confident "hmph" sound like i am some edgy chuunibyu teenager.
[introducing! "the act like a stoic and mysterious person" technique! after this i would combine it with the secret arts, "random bullshit, go!" speech]
Mash acting all stoic but deep inside he is a little bit panicking: hmph! unless you could give me all 3 of the god cards, you will never know a single hair of info about my "labrynth" cards. how about you just give up on whatever info scraping you're trying to do.
Bastion narrows his eyes suspiciously as he looks at me: ...
Mash: ...
a small droplet of sweat was forming on my cheeks, as my body tenses up like a stone, [Mash: did it work!? please God, please...!]
Bastion goes back to his usual self as he slumped back to his seat: "alright then, if you dont want to tell me about it, i guess i will find out about it personally." after that talk bastion then looked away to the window
i can feel that my whole body relaxes into a kind of like state of water, [less goo, my bluff worked, baby! that was too close for comfort, i should be more wary if i were to talk to this guy again. anyway, now with 24 hour of nothing how about we check my, STATUS!]
and then a transparent pop up window open and it was the 1-to-1 replica of master duel home menu. there was the shop, deck, and also mission with an red exclamation on the top right of the button. [hm? what is this]
i clicked on the mission tab and it then shows me a list of missions

[HOLY SHIT! just by bullying the ever living shit out of that okama, i got 1000 credits! which is enough for a 10 pull! immediately claim!]
i touch the claim all button and receive my 1000 credits, [now its time for our favorite time... GACHA!] as i excitedly close the mission tab i was then instantly got disapointed as the shop was still empty, as there is only the bundles from the special... OH WAIT! that 3 pot of greed bundle! that is literally a must have!
i then tap on the special page on the shop and then tap on the pot of greed bundle.

of course i bought it, just the pot of greed is great! but, the 10 master packs is just the icing on the cake! after, a 10 pack master duel gacha animation, 4 out of the 10 packs have a yellow aura around it while only 1 pack have a rainbow aura. [its fine, any UR and SR will get instantly dismantled and turned into traps that would benefit me!] and after pressing the skip button what i got was: (author note: i refuse to individually tell you what he got in the gacha!)

[this 10 packs are so fucking goated! unfortunately, none of the UR and SR are foiled, which when dismantled will give extra materials. whatever, i can make 1 UR card and 2 SR cards of my choice and of course those 2 cards are gonna be normal trap cards. anyway, lets go and edit my deck!]
i quickly close the shop tabs and press the decks tab and my deck which we will now edit. first, lets add our staple pot of greed, i would prefer my deck within the 40 cards range so, i will remove and dismantle 3x useless trap cards like {negate attack} and also 2x of my {adhesion trap hole}. after that, lets dismantle and remove a few more cards, like 3 of my SR cards like, 2x {ojama trio} and 1x {dark bribe}. i would also remove and dismantle 2x R which is {dust tornado}. that should be all the dismantling from my deck i can remove more later on when i am editing. now, let me just dismantle cards from my gacha. a few minutes later of dismantling.

Alright! lets get into editing! right now after demolishing my cards i have 35 cards in my deck, 23 of those are all my "labrynth" cards while the 10 are trap cards and 3 are the said pot of greeds. all we need to do now is add some cards so, use 30 of my N material and add 1 more {bottomless trap hole}, i will also use 30 R material to add 1 more {compulsory evacuation device}.
and now, i will use 90 of my SR materials to craft, 3x {Dimensional barrier}! this fucking card is probably the most overpowered floodgate that i could have, right now! you see, dimensional barrier effects are
{dimensional barrier|normal trap| Declare 1 monster card type (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Pendulum); for the rest of this turn, neither player can Special Summon monsters of the declared type, also negate the effects of all monsters of that type while they are on the field. You can only activate 1 "Dimensional Barrier" per turn.}
CAN'T YOU SEE HOW OVERPOWERED THIS CARD IS?! in this era without synchro, xyz or even pendulum and link monsters, the only thing inside of their extra decks are fusion monsters, and with this card, i can basically shut down decks that rely on fusion summoning like Jaden's deck. yea sure, there is still ritual summoning, but in this era, ritual summoning is ass, so im not worried about it.
AND DONE! with this my cards on my deck is now 40 cards. i would do more editing but that will be for later, and i would also like to save my UR materials because right now, my deck is already extremely powerful for this era. anyway, now, i am going to enjoy the rest of this flight to academy island. for you wondering what my decklist are:
