[Mash POV]
Hello again. You already know who this is by now.
To recap what happened? Jaden did a stupid.
Well he is stupid. Does stupid stuff. The bloke a literal airhead in the anime. But this time... Its different.
Its not the usual stupid that he would've done. It's something out of character of him.
"Uh… sorry if this sounds rude," he said, giving the girls a kind of sheepish look. "But... are you sure you wanna tag duel against me and Mash?"
I snapped my head toward him.
[JADEN. WHAT!?]
I forced a grin at the girls who looked just as confused as me and quickly pulled Jaden into a half-headlock, turning our backs to them. "Excuse us for a sec!" I said sweetly, dragging him out of earshot.
Leaning close, I hissed under my breath, "Jaden! What the hell, man!? This isn't like you!"
He blinked, still playing dumb. "This isn't like me?"
"Uh-uhm- what I meant is, this isn't like my first impression of you!" I snapped, flailing one hand dramatically. "I thought you were the go-happy golden retriever that wags your tail whenever someone mentions duel.'"
Jaden squinted. "...You think of me as a dog?"
"It's called a hyperbole, Jaden."
"...What's a hyperbole?"
I facepalmed. "God fucking dang- Look! It's not like you to hesitate, alright? Why are you suddenly hesitant about dueling?"
Jaden went quiet for a second, eyes drifting toward the girls. Then, finally, he looked back at me. "Well... the truth is, Mash... your deck's not fun to play against."
I stared at him like he just declared the sky was green. "wha-wha-what? Explain."
"No offense, Mash. But your deck's kinda... brutal. Like, I couldn't even do anything when I dueled you!" He then raised his hand to count his finger. "I'd summon a monster? Trap Hole. I'd try to attack? Mirror Force or Magic Cylinder. I tried Fusion Summoning with Poly? Dimensional Barrier!" He sighed deeply. "Dueling against you is just…"
I stared at him flatly. "Yeah, i get it jay. I know my deck is cancer more than anyone Jaden."
He laughed awkwardly. "I know, I know. But I just… I don't want them to experience that. They're our friends."
"Jaden. You met Alexis yesterday," I deadpanned. "And you've never even talked or met the other two."
He smiled, as soft as ever. "Doesn't mean they can't be future friends, right?"
I let out a long sigh. "...Alright. Get to the point. What you want from me?"
He looked me in the eyes. "Mash, I did you a favor by trusting you earlier without question, right? So how about you return the favor, by sitting this duel out."
I blinked, stunned. "...You want me to back out of the 2v2?"
"No, no, no!" he said quickly, waving his hands. "You're still dueling with me! I just mean... try not to go all-out. Sit back a little, let me handle it."
My eye twitched. "So what you're saying is… Jaden Yuki wants the spotlight for himself, huh?"
He grinned. "Better than letting you duel seriously and shatter their spirits."
I smirked. "...Or make them cry."
We both chuckled quietly, and I swear the girls were glaring holes into the back of our heads.
"Hey!" Mindy called out. "Are you two going to stop whispering and duel already!?"
I glanced over my shoulder. "Just a second!" Then I turned back to Jaden and lowered my voice. "Alright. I'll sit this one out. But if things get shitty, I'm stepping in the shit pile."
Jaden nodded with a grin. "Good enough. Thanks, man."
"But," I said, tapping open my invisible system window, "I'll still give you some backup." He tilted his head in confusion as I flicked and tapped through the Master Duel system only I could see. After a few seconds, I pulled three cards from my deck and handed them to him. "Here. Insurance. To make sure you bully those girls."
Jaden took the cards, and his eyes lit up like a Kid getting his christmas present early. "Whoa! These are awesome! Thanks, Mash!"
As he admired the cards, I turned back to the girls and smirked. "Alright, let's get this duel started, shall we?"
Alexis glanced at Jaden, who was still admiring the cards like they were made of gold. Her eyes narrowed slightly. "What did you give him?"
"Nothing for you to worry about," I said casually. I totally lied, of course. "So, who's your partner?"
Jasmine raised her hand immediately, eyes burning with determination. "Pick me, Alexis! I want to crush that arrogant guy so bad!"
Alexis sighed. "Alright, Jasmine. You're with me."
Mindy pouted. "Aw... I wanted to duel."
I tilted my head. "So… where's this duel happening, anyway?"
Alexis pointed behind a nearby cliff. "That's where we're dueling. We're going to be dueling on top of our boats"
I blinked. "Wait, why not just duel right here on the dock?"
She looked me dead in the eye. "Unless you want to get spotted by other Obelisk girls and get expelled for trespassing, be my guest."
[So that's why they dueled on a boat in the episode.]
"Alright, alright. Let's go. Jaden, you done reading those card effects?"
"Yep!" he said excitedly. "These cards are amazing! Where did you even get them?"
I froze slightly, a bead of sweat forming. "...Event."
He raised his eyebrow. "What kind of event?"
"Forget that!" I blurted. "Just row the damn boat toward the cliff! We're dueling there!"
Jaden gave me a suspicious look, like he knew I was hiding something, but he shrugged and picked up the paddles.
Before he could push off, Alexis called out sharply, "Oh, and don't forget about your friend here."
Without warning, she shoved Syrus toward us, and he stumbled right into the boat, nearly tripping over the edge.
I couldn't help but grin as I reached out and ruffled his hair. "Syrus-boy! How was your big adventure in the girls' dorm, huh?"
Syrus looked down instantly, face flushing red with embarrassment. "Ugh..."
"Don't tease him like that, Mash! He already experience enough." Jaden said sharply, frowning at me.
Syrus's eyes widened a little as he looked up at Jaden, a bit touched. "Jay..."
Jaden gave him a smile and tossed him one of the paddles. "Now help me row this boat, Sy!"
Syrus shot him a deadpan look, and he quietly took the paddle then sat beside him. Together, the two of them started rowing the boat toward the back of the cliff.
A few moments later...
After arriving behind the cliff, the boat gently rocked to a stop. Me, Jaden, and Syrus now stared across the water at the girls' boat. Our duel disks were activated and ready. So were theirs.
Alexis stood tall with her usual cool aura. Jasmine looked fired up and impatient. Both of their duel disks lit up with a familiar hum.
"Good luck, both of you!" Syrus said with a nervous but encouraging smile.
I chuckled and waved him off. "Give the good luck to Jaden. I'll be sitting this one out."
"What!?" Syrus looked at me like I just said I was giving up dueling.
Jaden gave him a confident grin. "Don't worry, Sy! With the cards Mash gave me, I'll win this duel solo!"
Syrus looked like he was about to leap overboard and swim home, but I placed a hand on his shoulder before he did anything crazy.
"Relax," I said calmly. "Just trust Jaden, alright? I'll explain everything after we survive this shitpile."
He hesitated for a second, then slowly nodded. There was still doubt in his eyes… but belief too.
I turned to Jaden. He flashed me his signature Jaden grin like he's saying "trust me, bro!" I nodded back.
From the other boat, Jasmine shouted in irritation. "Hey! Are you guys done with your little pep talk? I swear, boys are such slow creatures."
"We're ready when you are!" I called back with a smirk.
Alexis narrowed her eyes slightly, her voice cool and sharp. "Is that so? Then let's begin this duel."
And just like that, the four of us shouted in unison.
"DUEL!"
Our duel disks flashed brightly as the life points appeared.
{Mash & Jaden LP: 8000
Alexis & Jasmine LP: 8000}
We each drew cards until we had five in our hands. Everyone studied their opening hands, except Jaden.
"I'll go first!" Jaden said confidently.
I gave him a quick thumbs-up. [Nice one, Jay!]
He held up a V-sign without even looking at me.
Alexis crossed her arms. "Since Jaden's taking the first turn, we'll establish turn order. I'll go second, then Mash, then Jasmine."
"Mmm. Sounds good to me," I said casually.
"Aww, I'm going last?" Jasmine pouted.
"Alright! Since it's my turn, I'll draw!" Jaden drew his sixth card and looked over his hand with narrowed eyes. Then, without hesitation, he inserted a card into his duel disk. "I summon {Elemental HERO Sparkman} in attack mode! Then I'll end my turn!"
Sparkman materialized on top of the water, crackling with electricity.
{Elemental HERO Sparkman|4 Star|light|Warrior/normal|ATK: 1600 DEF:1400}
{Jaden Hands: 5 cards
Jaden field: 1 monster}
I stared at his field, mildly horrified. [What the fuck, Jaden!? Did you brick!?]
Alexis raised an eyebrow, her tone playful but sharp. "Is that all, Jaden? And here I was hoping for a real show, considering Mash gave you some cards."
She drew her card. "My turn! I'll summon {Etoile Cyber} in attack mode and set one card. That's it for me."
A woman clad in a sleek bodysuit materialized on top of the water, followed by a single face-down card.
{Etoile Cyber|4 Star|Earth|Warrior/effect|ATK: 1200 DEF:1600}
{Alexis Hands: 4 cards
Alexis field: 1 monster, 1 set card}
"My turn, draw!" I said with a grin, drawing my card.
I caught Alexis glancing at me. Her face was composed… but not completely calm.
My smile turned devilish. "What's the matter, Alexis? You look tense."
"Of course I'm nervous," she said, her tone tight. "I'm about to see 'that' monster of yours again."
Jasmine blinked in confusion. "What monster?"
"Well," I said, sliding a card onto my duel disk with dramatic flair, "spoiler alert: you will. I summon {Arianna the Labrynth Servant} in attack position!"
Arianna appeared above the water, clutching her oversized keychain, looking a little too innocent.
{Arianna the Labrynth Servant|4 Star|Dark| Fiend/effect|ATK:1600 DEF:2100}
"And now! I'll activate Arianna's effect to search a Labrynth card from my deck and add it to my hand!" I quickly flicked through my deck and pulled the card I needed. "I add {Labrynth Cooclock}!"
I showed it for a second, then continued. "Next, I'll activate the effect of {Labrynth Stovie Torbie} in my hand! By discarding her and one other card, I can set a Labrynth trap from my hand or deck!" I slipped two cards into the Graveyard slot. "And I'll set {Big Welcome Labrynth}!"
"Next," I said with a grin, "I will activate Cooclock effect by discarding it to the grave, and now, I can activate a Normal Trap I set this turn if I have a Labrynth card on field. So guess what? I have it. And so, I activate {Big Welcome Labrynth}!" The face-down trap flipped up
Alexis's expression immediately turned serious, but I could see the excitement flashing in her eyes.
Jaden's voice was low, serious for once. "She's here..."
Syrus clenched the edge of the boat. "Mash's ace monster..."
Jasmine and Mindy looked totally lost. "What's so special about this monster?" Mindy asked.
And then a silver staircase rose from the surface of the water, leading up to a massive, ornate silver door. From behind the door came a smug, echoing laugh. "Ho ho ho ho~"
Mindy's eyes widened. "...I take back what I said."
"Please everyone!" I spread my arms dramatically as the silver doors creaked open. "Give your big welcome to..."
A regal blur burst through the doorway, bat-like wings stretching wide as she glided and descended the steps with a smug smile and eyes full of superiority.
"{Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle}~!" she declared, landing at the base with elegance and sass, striking a smug pose with her chin held high.
"HOW IS SHE TALKING!?" Mindy shouted, nearly falling over. "ISN'T SHE SUPPOSED TO BE A HOLOGRAM!?"
"Who cares?" Jasmine muttered, eyes wide. "She's… really gorgeous..."
Alexis giggled softly. "You two had the exact same reaction I did when I saw her."
As she walk down the stairs, the moment her heel touched the water, she scoffed. "Ew~ I hate getting wet."
Almost instantly, silver spread beneath her step, rippling across the duel zone and coating the surrounding surface of water in a sleek, polished shine. The silver spread as far to the boats they are standing
"Much better~" she said smugly.
Everyone went completely silent. No one moved. Mouths hung slightly open, eyes wide and I couldn't help but smirk.
Syrus reached down and knocked on the silver-coated water. Tang tang tang.
"This entire thing is real silver!" he said, blinking in amazement.
"For real!?" Jaden leaned forward, inspecting the surface with wide eyes. "How is this even possible, Mash?"
I chuckled, arms crossed. "Don't ask me. Ask Lovely."
Jaden turned toward Lovely Labrynth. "Well, don't ask me~ ask my darling~"
He trailed off as realization hit him, Then sighed. "This is just gonna loop, isn't it?"
[Smart boy.]
I glanced at the girls' boat. All three of them were still slack-jawed, their duel momentarily forgotten. I clapped my hands to snap them back into reality. "Anyway! Let's resolve the effect of {Big Welcome Labrynth}. It allows me to special summon a Labrynth monster to the field and then return one monster I control to my hand. So I'll bring out Lovely and bounce Arianna."
Lovely waved goodbye as Arianna turned into light and returned to my hand with a soft flash.
"And since a monster left the field due to a Normal Trap card," I said, grinning, "my Lovely Labrynth's effect activates!"
Lovely stepped forward, striking a smug pose. "It allows me~ to pop a card on the field or in your hand~"
Jasmine's eyes widened. "What!? You have an effect that destroys cards in hand too!?"
Lovely giggled wickedly. "Though, the hand destruction effect said its random~ It only means I can't see what I'm picking. But it doesn't really matter~"
"...Doesn't matter?" Jasmine echoed, confused.
"How about you experience that yourself." I smirked "My love, pop Jasmine's cherry."
The entire field went quiet. Every person and even the monster turned to glare at me.
Jasmine shouted, red-faced. "Pop my WHAT!?"
Panic exploded in my head. [Shit! I thought these kids from a children's TV show wouldn't get adult jokes!] "U-uhm! I meant 'cherry' as a metaphor! You know, like... cards in hand!" I laughed nervously. "Anyway! Moving on!"
Lovely Labrynth began walking slowly toward the girls' boat, her expression shifting into something sinister and playfully evil.
"Is it just me, or is she walking toward us...?" Mindy whispered, backing up.
Alexis calmly placed both hands on Jasmine's shoulders. "Brace yourself, Jasmine."
"I-I-I'm not scared!" Jasmine stammered. "In fact, I think she looks kind of ugl—"
She didn't even finish her sentence. Lovely appeared instantly in front of her, her face twisted into a devilish grin. "What. Did. You. Say. About. Me?"
"KYAAAAH!" Jasmine shrieked like a cartoon character and bolted behind Alexis and Mindy. "I'M SORRY!" she cried, trembling. "I THINK YOU'RE PRETTY AND ELEGANT!"
Lovely didn't respond.
She just stared.
Silent. Still. Unblinking.
Her head tilted slightly, lips curled in the faintest smirk.
Jasmine shrank further into both her friend who also look unsettled by her.
Then, without warning, Lovely looked down, let out a soft chuckle, and threw her head back laughing.
"Ho ho ho ho~ Oh please~ I'm just messing with you~" she said, waving her hand and regaining her usual smug aura. "Now quickly reveal the back of your hand cards. I want to go back to my Darling~"
Jasmine was clearly irritated but still shaken. With a grumble, she raised her hand, holding out all five of her cards. "Just hurry up and get it over with!"
Lovely hovered her hand over the cards, not looking at them—but at Jasmine's face. She glided left, then right, slowly watching for even the tiniest twitch. The moment she passed over one particular card, Jasmine's expression faltered for a split second.
"Aha~" Lovely whispered, and plucked the card.
"Ah!" Jasmine gasped.
"Tch tch tch~ And this is why you should learn to keep a poker face~" Lovely flipped the card dramatically. "Oh my~ Look, Darling! I popped her {Harpie's Feather Duster}~!"
I threw my head back and laughed. "HA! Nice one, my love!"
"Hey! That's cheating!" Mindy shouted. "You looked at her expression instead of picking randomly!"
"Which is why I said, it doesn't matter, didn't I~?" Lovely purred.
The {Harpie's Feather Duster} turned into solid silver before crumbling into shimmering silver dust in her hands, disintegrating into nothing.
"Ho ho ho~ Bye bye then, sweethearts~" she said with a smirk, twirling back to her original field position.
Jasmine was fuming. "ARGH! I HATE YOU AND YOUR STUPID, TALKING, CHEATING CARD, YOU PIECE OF MASH POTATOES!!!"
Lovely and I looked at each other, nodded, then threw our heads back and laughed maniacally in perfect sync. "HO HO HO HO HO HO~!"
Jaden and Syrus exchanged side-eyes and slowly backed away from us.
"I don't know him," Jaden muttered to the girls.
"Me neither," Syrus added, deadpan.
I crossed my arms casually. "Anyway, I'll set three cards, and using my love's effect, I can also set a Normal Trap from the graveyard. I'll re-set {Big Welcome Labrynth}."
Lovely waved her hand, and a swirl of silver dust reformed into a set card on my field. "There you go, Darling~" she said with a wink. I nodded back and grinned. "I end my turn."
{Mash hand: 1 Cards
Mash field: 1 monster, 4 set cards}
Alexis narrowed her eyes slightly.
[Strange… Why isn't he attacking? Only the first turn player can't attack. With a 2900 ATK monster, he should at least pressure us. What are you planning, Mash?]
I just stood there with a relaxed smile.[I'm doing nothing like Jaden asked. But that motherfucker bricked so goddamn Hard. Only summoned a single Normal Monster... Meh, whatever. Guess I'll wait it out. He's the Top Deck King anyway. And worst case… I'm still here.]
"Finally! It's my turn! Draw!" Jasmine pulled her card with flourish."First, I summon {Cyber Harpie Lady} in attack mode!"
A winged woman with an electric whip materialized over the silver-coated field.
{Cyber Harpy Lady|4 Star|Wind|Winged Beast/Effect|ATK:1800 DEF:1300}
"And since she's treated as 'Harpie Lady,' I can activate {Elegant Egotist} to special summon {Harpie Lady 1} from my hand!"
Another harpy landed beside her with a shriek, wind swirling around them
{Harpy Lady 1|4 Star|Wind|Winged Beast/Effect|ATK:1300 DEF:1400}
"When {Harpy Lady 1} is on the field she has the effect of increasing all wind monster attack by 300!" Jasmine explained
{Harpy Lady 1 ATK: 1300 -> 1600}
{Cyber Harpy Lady ATK: 1800 -> 2100}
Jasmine pointed dramatically. "Now I'll attack Sparkman with Cyber Harpie Lady! Go! Cyber Whip Strike!"
Syrus flinched. "Uh oh! If Sparkman's destroyed, Jasmine can attack directly with Harpie Lady 1!
Jaden muttered, "...Great."
But as Cyber Harpie whipped toward Sparkman, a wave of glowing blue cloth blocked the strike.
"W-What!?" Jasmine blinked.
"Ho ho ho~ You thought it'd be that easy?" Lovely teased, stepping forward proudly.
A face-up trap shimmered behind her. "I activate {Waboku} which means our monsters can't be destroyed by battle, and we take no damage."
Jasmine clicked her tongue and her monster return to their position.
I glanced at Jaden. "You okay, bud?"
He gave me a confident grin. "Thanks, but I'm fine. Just haven't drawn the card I need… yet."
I sighed. "Well, you better find it fast. I'm handicapping myself for now. Only activate traps to save my own ass. But, I'll bail you out once, and it resets every my turn."
"Sounds good, Mash!" Jaden nodded.
Lovely appeared in front of Jaden, her tone sharp. "And if you fucked this up and make my Darling~ look bad, I'll turn you into a silver statue and drop you in the ocean."
Jaden gulped. "Y-Yes ma'am…"
Jasmine, still glaring. [Mash is sooo annoyinggg...!]"I'll set one card and end my turn!" she huffed.
{Jasmine Hands: 1 Card
Jasmine field: 2 monster, 1 set card}
"Don't worry, Mash! I'll flip this duel around!" Jaden declared, drawing his next card. "Draw!"
And then he froze.
Sweat formed on his forehead.
I squinted. "You bricked again, didn't you?"
Lovely slowly walked beside him, silver battle axe already in hand, glaring with murderous intent.
"I'll… I'll go into battle-" Jaden started.
I grabbed him by the shoulder and shook him violently. "DAMN YOU JADEN! NOT ONLY DID YOU BRICKED SO GODDAMN HARD! BUT YOU ALSO HAVE NO MONSTER CARDS IN HAND!? AND YOU WANT ME TO JUST SETTLE DOWN AS WE FUCKING CRASH INTO AN ICEBERG LIKE IN TITANIC!?"
"Wait, Mash! Just let me—!"
Then he felt it.
The cold, flat edge of a weapon against his neck.
Lovely's axe hovered dangerously close. Her smile? Gone.
"Maybe I should motivate you by showing you how it feels when your head falls off~"
"Hey! The duel's not over yet!" Syrus shouted, panicking. "Give Jaden a chance!"
Lovely turned and glare sternly to him. "We're in this mess because of you, scaredy-boy. If we lose, we all get expelled. So shut up and sit down."
Syrus flinched and shrunk back.
"But… he's right," I said quietly.
Syrus looked up, surprised.
"The duel's not over. And as long as you don't give up, Jaden…" I gave him a small smirk."I won't either." [Of course, as long as you don't fuck it up!]
Jaden looked at me, face softening. "...Thanks, bro."
"Are you guys done with your shenanigans over there!?" Alexis called.
"Not only are we done," Jaden shouted back, "but so are you! Sparkman, attack Etoile Cyber!" A bolt of lightning surged forward.
"Not so fast!" Alexis snapped. "I activate {Doble Passe}!"
The lightning twisted midair, skipping past Etoile Cyber and slamming directly into Alexis.
{Alexis & Jasmine LP: 8000 -> 6400}
Syrus gasped. "Sparkman attack becomes a direct attack!?"
"{Doble Passe} lets you bypass my monster and hit me instead," Alexis explained confidently. "But it also lets my monster attack you directly in return! And when {Etoile Cyber} attacks directly, she gains 500 ATK!"
{Etoile Cyber ATK:1200 -> 1700}
Etoile Cyber flipped gracefully through the air, slamming a fierce kick into Jaden's chest.
"Ugh!" he winced, stumbling back.
{Mash & Jaden LP: 8000 -> 6300}
Lovely and I slowly turned to look at him.
Jaden laughed nervously. "...I'll end my turn."
{Jaden Hands: 6 card
Jaden field: 1 Monster}
Alexis smirked as she drew. "Jaden, it seems your partner's starting to doubt you."
She held up her hand. "I activate {Polymerization}! I fuse {Etoile Cyber} from the field with {Blade Skater} in my hand to fusion summon {Cyber Blader}!"
Two lights spun together, twisting into a fusion vortex before a figure skated forward, gliding across the silver field like it was ice.
{Cyber Blader|7 star|EARTH|Warrior/Fusion/Effect|ATK: 2100 DEF: 800}
"{Cyber Blader} has three effects depending on how many monsters the opponent controls," she said confidently. "With one, she can't be destroyed by battle. With two, her ATK doubles. And with three? She negates all your spells, traps, and monster effects."
"And since you two have two monsters, her ATK doubles!"
{Cyber Blader ATK: 2100 -> 4200}
"And I'm not done! I equip her with {Fusion Weapon}! It gives any fusion monster 1500 extra ATK!" She slotted the card into her disk, and Cyber Blader's hand transformed into a glowing bio-weapon.
{Cyber Blader ATK: 4200 -> 5700}
Syrus's eyes bulged. "5700 ATK!?"
"And now, I activate {Fusion Recovery}! I get back the {Polymerization} I used and one material from the graveyard!" She added both cards to her hand, then slid one down. "And since I haven't normal summoned yet, here comes {Etoile Cyber}!"
The cyber warrior returned, landing beside Cyber Blader.
I turned to look at Jaden, giving him a half-grin. " *Whistle*... looking pretty bad, ain't it, mate?"
"Now," Alexis said, raising her hand. "Battle! Cyber Blader, attack Sparkman!"
A burst of green energy surged from her bio-weapon, destroying sparkman in a green explosion.
"Ugh...!"
{Mash & Jaden LP: 6300 -> 2200}
"And now! Etoile Cyber can attack Jaden directly! You know her effect right?"
{Etoile Cyber ATK:1200 -> 1700}
She dashed forward and flipped midair, delivering another acrobatic kick to Jaden's chest. "Uwah!"
{Mash & Jaden LP: 2200 -> 500}
"Yeah!" Mindy cheered. "Way to go, Alexis!"
"I can't wait to report them and have them expelled!" Jasmine smirked.
Alexis stood tall and confident… but something in her eyes flickered. She was worried. because something is off.
Meanwhile, Jaden was trying to compose himself, until a familiar, furious figure appeared in front of him. Lovely grabbed him by the collar, her hand raised mid-slap.
"What. Slap. The. Slap. Fuck. Slap. Are. Slap. You. SLAP. DOING!?"
By the time she was done, Jaden's cheeks were puffed and glowing red like tomatoes.
I winced. [She slapped you with real silver. That's gotta hurt like hell.]"You okay, Jay? Should I step in now?"
Jaden shook off the daze and smiled faintly. "No. I'm okay, Mash. I got this."
"You got this, NOT!" Lovely shouted, glaring at him. "We went from 8000 life points to 500 in just two turns! Darling~ we should-"
"No," I cut in. "As long as Jaden hasn't given up, I won't either."
"But—"
"Also, you forgot something important." I smirked. "You forgot about Jaden's superpower."
"Jaden has a superpower?" Syrus blinked.
"I do?" Jaden tilted his head.
"Yep. You've got a freakish ability to topdeck whatever the hell you need in the most desperate situations."
"...But how do you know that?"
"You ask too many questions." I flicked his forehead. "Anyway, your superpower is at maximum power right now. All we have to do… is make it to your next turn."
Jaden nodded firmly.
"And also..." I grinned, turned toward the girls with a devilish gleam. "I'm getting a little impatient." I cracked my knuckle. "Just a little step. Just a foot. That's all... to give you the opening to win this duel."

I'll make this short because im tired asf when publishing this.
Making a 2v2 duel is way more complicated than a 1v1 which is why its so long to plan and write. anyway, i hope you enjoy and chiao!
