Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: The Next Ye Cheng

Chapter 30: The Next Ye Cheng

Notting City, Work Study Dormitory.

After watching the video, Xiao Wu's face turned completely pale, and her entire body started trembling uncontrollably. She had just caught onto a crucial piece of information

Tang San, her third brother, was the son of a Titled Douluo.

And that Titled Douluo had actually been secretly watching over him this whole time.

This meant that her true identity as a 100,000 year spirit beast in human form had absolutely been discovered by that Titled Douluo.

But why hadn't he made a move?

A 100,000 year spirit beast that had taken human form lost all its power and had to start over from scratch. Leaving the Great Star Dou Forest and entering the human world, alone and vulnerable, was extremely dangerous.

For any Spirit Master, encountering a defenseless 100,000 year spirit beast was an opportunity beyond imagination!

Even a Titled Douluo, despite already having all nine spirit rings, would never refuse a 100,000 year spirit bone. After all, in some ways, spirit bones were even more precious than spirit rings.

A spirit ring could only be used once, but a spirit bone could be passed down through generations, becoming a family heirloom.

Such a priceless treasure was something anyone would covet.

Yet Tang San's father hadn't made a move. He had just observed from the shadows.

Why?

This was highly unusual.

Unlike when she first left the forest as an innocent and naïve spirit beast, Xiao Wu had now lived among humans for several years.

She had learned to see through deception.

And now, she came up with the only logical explanation

Tang Hao had decided to leave her spirit ring for his son.

He was waiting for Tang San to grow stronger…

And when the time came

He would have Tang San kill her to take her spirit ring!

The thought terrified her.

She didn't want to believe it.

For the past six years, Tang San had always taken care of her, protected her, and even sworn to guard her for life.

Could all of that have been a lie?

Could he have just been pretending to care while secretly waiting for the right moment to take her life?

She didn't want to believe it.

But the facts were in front of her.

No matter how much she trusted Tang San, she couldn't risk her life on the chance that his father had good intentions.

She had to escape!

At this moment, only one thought consumed her mind

Run!!!

She wanted to go home.

The human world was too dangerous.

Humans were too deceitful.

"Mom, I want to go home!"

By the time Tang Hao and Tang San rushed to the dormitory, the other students told them that Xiao Wu had hurriedly packed up and left after watching the video.

Nobody knew where she went.

Tang San's heart sank.

He immediately searched her belongings, only to find that she had left without taking anything.

She had fled as if her life depended on it.

Just like his father had said…

She must have been afraid that her identity would be exposed.

She had run for her life.

Tang San felt like his soul had been torn apart.

"Xiao Wu… I promised to protect you forever… so why did you run?"

"Do you really not trust me?"

Seeing his son so devastated, Tang Hao simply shook his head.

But he didn't tell him the truth.

He knew exactly where Xiao Wu was.

She hadn't actually gone far.

If Tang San chased after her now, he could still catch up.

But Tang Hao didn't want that.

To him, Xiao Wu was nothing but trouble.

Just like Tang San's mother, Ah Yin, had been.

Once a spirit beast's identity was exposed, the entire Spirit Master world would hunt them down.

Everyone had wanted Ah Yin's spirit ring and spirit bone.

Even Tang Hao himself, once a genius of the Clear Sky Clan, had been mocked and despised for falling in love with a spirit beast.

He didn't want Tang San to follow the same doomed path.

He didn't regret choosing Ah Yin.

But his son…

His son was a once in a lifetime genius with twin spirits!

If he could just overcome the backlash of his twin spirits, then one day

Tang San could become the next Ye Cheng!

If Tang San could grow to Ye Cheng's level, he would one day return to the Clear Sky Clan, rally its forces, and unite the other clans.

Then, perhaps

They could finally challenge the dominance of Spirit Hall!

But for that to happen…

Tang San had to survive.

He couldn't afford to die early like so many other young prodigies before him.

So Tang Hao made a decision

Tang San would do as Ye Cheng had done.

He would hide his true strength, remain in the shadows, and patiently build his power.

And when he finally mastered his twin spirits

No one would be able to stop him!

"Xiao San, we need to go."

Having made his choice, Tang Hao turned to leave.

"Dad, where are we going?"

Tang San hurried to catch up.

"You'll know when we get there."

Tang Hao didn't explain.

Half a month later.

Under Tang Hao's guidance, Tang San arrived at a mysterious forest.

The moment he stepped in, he felt something familiar

And at the same time, his body instinctively sensed danger.

Tang Hao stopped at the forest's edge and turned to look at his son.

"I originally planned to bring you here when you reached the Spirit King or Spirit Emperor level… but now that your identity has been exposed, and since you've just reached rank 30, I've decided to bring you here early."

Tang San had already been at rank 29, just half a step from rank 30.

After everything that had happened the video revealing his father's identity, the truth about Xiao Wu, and all the overwhelming emotions he had unknowingly reached rank 30 ahead of schedule.

Tang Hao had taken notice.

So he decided to bring him here earlier than planned.

"Sit."

Tang Hao pointed to the ground.

Tang San hesitated for a moment before sitting cross legged as instructed.

But he was confused.

"What does Father want me to do?"

Without explaining, Tang Hao stood beside him.

"Release your Blue Silver Grass and try to feel it."

"With your current spiritual power, you should be able to sense something. Try it."

"If you can't, I'll take you somewhere else to get a spirit ring. You can come back here when you're stronger."

Tang San didn't fully understand what his father meant.

But from the way he spoke, it sounded like this third spirit ring had already been arranged for him.

Without overthinking it, he closed his eyes.

His Blue Silver Grass emerged from his body, surrounding him gently.

He focused his spiritual energy, extending it outward.

Blue Silver Grass was everywhere on the Douluo Continent.

And suddenly

Tang San felt something strange.

It was as if…

All the surrounding Blue Silver Grass was calling out to him.

He could even sense their emotions.

His mind expanded as his spirit energy stretched farther and farther.

Slowly, he sank deeper into this mysterious state.

And at that moment

He realized something shocking.

All of the Blue Silver Grass… seemed to regard him as their king!
