Chapter 2 - 2. Awakening

The dense forest, the ground shaking under the Bison Buffalo's charge. The boy stumbles backward, his breath ragged.

Boy thinking, panicking, "I can't outrun it! My body is too weak! If it hits me, I'll be crushed…!"

The beast bellows, muscles rippling as it kicks off the ground again, horns aimed straight at him.

Thinking, despair growing, "Damn it! I can't die like this! I just got here!"

The world seems to slow. His fear peaks—then suddenly, something shifts.

A strange sensation spreads through his head, a pulse of warmth in his eyes. His perception sharpens. The charging Buffalo, the trees, the rocks—everything becomes clearer, every detail magnified. His body feels lighter, his muscles reacting faster.

Boy thinking, wide-eyed,"What… what is this?!"

'No time to question it.' His mind races. If this thing is like a real-life bison… then—

Gritting his teeth " It's fast in a straight line, but not good at turning!"

The Bison Buffalo barrels toward him. Instead of running straight, he suddenly veers to the side—then dashes in a zigzag pattern, weaving between trees and rocks. The beast roars in frustration, struggling to change direction fast enough.

Boy panting, eyes scanning the area rapidly, " I need to get off the ground! I need… a tall tree!"

His sharpened vision locks onto a massive tree nearby, its thick branches high above the ground.

Boy gritting his teeth," That'll work!"

He dashes toward it, narrowly avoiding another charge. The Bison Buffalo smashes into a tree behind him, shaking the tree.

thinking in desperation, his eyes sharp," Now or never!"

Using the momentum, he jumps, grabbing onto a lower branch. His small body makes it easier to climb, and with his enhanced reflexes, he moves quickly, scrambling upward just as the beast slams into the base of the tree, shaking the trunk and tree slightly, because of trunk thickness it mostly absores the impact from the bison Buffalo.

Boy clinging to a high branch, panting hard said," That was too close…"

The Bison Buffalo stomps and snorts below, glaring up at him. But it can't climb. He's safe…. for now. Thaks to his knowledge from previous life. A bison buffalo soul beast sure has similar traits that they are good at running straight not in zigzag, also surrounding advantages came quite in handy.

He swallows hard, staring at his trembling hands. He survived—" this is quite a thrill" mutterimg himself.

The massive tree, high above the forest floor.

Below, the Bison Buffalo snorts angrily, pawing at the ground. It glares up at him, but after a few moments, it huffs in frustration. Realizing its prey is out of reach, it eventually turns away, stomping through the undergrowth and disappearing into the forest.

Boy watching it leave, exhaling deeply,

" It's gone… finally."

His whole body feels sore, but he stays in the tree a while longer, just in case the beast decides to return.

Boy leaning against the trunk, sighing," What the hell was that? I almost died… , and what was that back then....."

For a moment, he thinks back to how his perception had suddenly changed—how he had dodged faster, reacted quicker. But exhaustion weighs on him, and his mind pushes the thought aside.

Muttering,"Probably just adrenaline… I'll figure it out later."

With the immediate danger gone, his stomach growls faintly. He ignores it for now, shifting his focus to something more important—his surroundings.

Scanning the area,

"I need to get out of this forest before another beast finds me."

From his high vantage point, his enhanced vision kicks in again. The details of the landscape sharpen—trees, bushes, fallen logs—everything is crystal clear. But more importantly…

Narrowing his eyes," No other soul beasts nearby… at least, none that I can see. That's a good sign."

He carefully climbs down the tree, his small body making it easier to move between branches. Once he reaches the ground, he stays still for a moment, listening for any signs of danger. The forest is eerily quiet, only the rustling of leaves in the wind breaking the silence.

Whispering to himself," Alright… time to find a way out."

With a deep breath, he begins moving cautiously through the forest, keeping his senses sharp. He doesn't know where he is.

After some time of moving in the dense forest, dappled sunlight filtering through the trees. The boy moving cautiously, his sharpened senses alert for any danger. After that intense tom and jerry run, his throat is dry, his body still exhausted from the earlier chase.

Scanning his surroundings,thinking ," I need water… if I keep going like this, I won't last long."

Suddenly as if answering his wish, the sound of flowing water reaches his ears. His enhanced perception picks up the faint glistening of a small stream not too far away.

Boy eyes lighting up," A stream!"

He picks up his pace, making his way toward it. Soon, he emerges from the trees and sees a crystal-clear stream flowing gently through the forest. Kneeling down, he cups the cool water in his hands and drinks deeply, sighing in relief as the refreshing liquid soothes his parched throat.

Muttering," This feels so real… There's no denying it now. I'm really in another world aka Douluo world."

As he leans forward to scoop more water, something catches his eye—his reflection.

Boy freezing, eyes widening as something hit him,"Wait…"

He stares at his own reflection in the water. His eyes aren't normal. Instead of plain black pupils, his irises now glow with a distinct pattern—a single tomoe circling his pupil, surrounded by an almost ethereal silver-white hue.

Boy whispering, stunned as he recognize this pattern in his eyes,"This… this is the Sharingan? No… not quite…"
