I am now in the Special High School Hall.
This circular hall is arranged in a circle, placing the point of view focused on one point like pizza slices.
Whether it is a kind of tradition or a curriculum change that has just been implemented for the new school year, the first students at this Special High School get a stage that is divided based on the results of the Special High School entrance exam assessment.
Because my position is the S-class ranking in the hundredth position, I take a seat in the corner that is not visible in the direction of light and blends with the darkness and the air conditioner that is directed directly at my body.
I chose that seat because it is next to my childhood friend who is now beside me while dragging his chair which is on the border of the S-class and A-class seats.
"I didn't think that the distance between us would be separated by a thin class difference like this," Elliot muttered softly, who was now looking at me as if he was crying over my departure to a class filled with monsters.
Since we left too early and earlier than the other students, we also watched the rehearsal for the welcoming ceremony for this year's new students which had a class division based on combat strength assessment.
"If you want, I will gladly give you my position," I replied, replying to him with a small joke.
I also didn't want to be in a class that was mostly filled with monsters like this.
Even in the class seats that had the main combat strength candidates equivalent to the S-class that looked luxurious, I was reluctant to sit because there were no S-class students who had arrived other than me.
The seats provided were far different from other ranks, especially with the S-class which was ranked one to ten. Like the absolute power at the top, I could see the splendor of the seats that would be displayed after the welcoming ceremony for the new students began.
"No, thank you very much, there are too many sacrifices that I will make to maintain my sanity when in an S-class like that," Elliot replied quickly with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Yep, especially with me being weak like this," I replied in a weak tone after knowing that the class I was going to take was very scary.
"I thought you would survive at least a year before going crazy, Weiss," as if giving farewell words to my sanity that would erode as time went by in the S-class classroom, Elliot patted my shoulder with a smile that made me a little furious.
"Hoho!! It seems like I'm being underestimated this time!" I exclaimed with the veins on my forehead hardening after Elliot said goodbye to my sanity.
"Just in case, it's nice to know this normal you, Weiss..." Elliot continued, increasingly convinced that my sanity would be further eroded when I was in the S-class classroom.
In a terrible joke like this, I realized a familiar gaze.
Far away at the entrance of the Special High School Hall which was crowded with rows of new students who were about to enter the Special Hall, I saw a star shining with a heavy topic and the scandal it was experiencing in internet.
The star was none other than Yggdrasil Advent, an Idol group that had four Elf girl members who in age had lived for hundreds of years but in human age were equivalent to my current age who was at the age limit for attending high school.
The shining star received a grand welcome and special privileges as an Idol group that was in the public eye.
My eyes immediately turned to Elysia who seemed to have noticed my presence and gave a short message through the communication system from the Maid Order ability.
[ Elysia: Good morning, my Master. ]
[ Elysia: May I come to your place and sit with you? ]
In the short message screen that suddenly appeared in front of my eyes, I caught a glimpse of the movement of the screen system that appeared in front of me and saw her hands moving quickly in typing.
"Haaahhh... this is going to be a bad day," I grumbled a little to answer Elliot's words and typed a short message with the system screen that appeared in front of me.
With my natural hand movements, I gave Elysia an answer to act like we don't know each other and try to get to know each other naturally as classmates.
"Weiss, I don't think you'll be stressed by seeing Elf's natural beauty like that," said Elliot who suddenly pushed his elbow to poke my body.
"The risk is too great to see the beauty and stress that accumulates all the time. You know yourself how stupid I am to study magic that goes against logic and rationality," I continued grumbling while taking the smartphone that was in my school uniform pocket.
I immediately opened the Special High School website and accessed the list of my classmates' information that was shared publicly.
Along with my indifferent attitude towards the opinion that Elliot was expressing, I noticed information about Elysia and her Elf Idol group.
"Big Brother Weiss, is there a problem with the Elf who is heading to the S-class seat?" asked Elliot's younger sister who is from the Dwarf race.
"Nothing, I'm just trying to plunder the general information provided by our school, El Ria," I answered Elliot's younger sister El Ria.
Because El Ria didn't introduce herself to me, I had to bother reading the A-class class list information and looking for Elliot's younger sister's photo whose her full name was in public information.
Hearing my familiar answer, El Ria suddenly looked at me with a blushing face and hid behind Elliot.
An adorable reaction that made me get a message from Elysia that sounded annoyed.
[ Elysia: My Master... ]
[ Elysia: Did I just see my Master teasing a Dwarf girl in front of my own eyes like this? ]
[ Elysia: Please pay attention to me who is walking gracefully and elegantly like this! ]
It seems like I'm having a problem where Elysia is too active in giving me a message screen. Even when she was walking towards the S-class seat, she sent a text message that made me glance at her.
[ Master: I noticed you... ]
[ Master: You look graceful and elegant like a Maid that I can be proud of. ]
By giving compliments and emotional touches as her Master, I tried to make Elysia's emotional state better after seeing me praise El Ria.
[ Master: It makes me want to take you to bed and give you my love as your Master. ]
Along with this last text message, I saw Elysia walking with her face covered in a blush and her body trembling slightly.
It seemed like it made Elysia feel embarrassed and happy at the same time.
[ One of your Maids is in a good mood. ]
[ Elysia Ai has successfully obtained an Active Buff that increases the efficiency of her Elf magic chanting by 15%! ]
The impact I gave from giving her loving compliments and seduction as her Master has made Elysia obtain an Active Buff that benefits her.
Should I move more aggressively as her Master to trigger an Active Buff like this?
It could be an alternative just in case Elysia wants to do something that requires her Elf magic abilities.
"Weiss, you're not planning to snatch El Ria from my father's responsibility as the head of the family by becoming her future husband, right?" whispered Elliot who was now giving me a cynical look.
"Where did such an unfounded assumption come from?" I quickly replied after Elliot uttered words that were a little dangerous for others to hear.
Because El Ria's attitude and behavior were a little strange than usual, I tried to observe her and saw that just mentioning her name made El Ria feel embarrassed.
Are the Dwarf race very sensitive to having their names mentioned?
"Is there a problem, El Ria?" I asked to make sure that I didn't make a mistake with her.
El Ria immediately shook her head to the right and left.
The rapid shaking of her head made me look like someone who was bullying the Dwarf race with her body size which was much shorter than mine.
To ease the bad perception of myself like this, I gave El Ria a gentle stroke on her hair and said sweet words to her.
"I hope we can always meet even though we are separated by classrooms like this," I said and got a message screen from Elysia.
[ Elysia: Master... ]
With that little warning, I immediately turned my gaze and saw that Elysia was already near me.
"Good morning, are you a student from the S-class classroom too?" said Elysia with a slightly forced smile along with her gaze fixed on my hand that was stroking El Ria's hair.
Among the many seats, Elysia came to the end of the S-class seats just to greet me.
Her attitude and behavior of wanting to get to know me looked natural.
However, it didn't last long after her Elf ears moved up and down as if she was happy with this kind of meeting.
"Yes, I am one of the students registered as a resident of the S-class classroom," I answered by giving a fairly normal answer as someone who seemed to know Elysia but kept a fairly normal distance not to be said as someone who follows the idol world.
"Ah! Turns out we're not in the wrong place!" Elysia exclaimed while looking at her Elf friends who were sitting next to my chair.
"Uuhhh..." I could only mutter a little when I saw the three Elf girls who were casually sitting beside me.
Aren't they worried about me taking this opportunity to approach them who are currently a famous Idol group in the world?
Elysia also looked at me with a cheerful happy expression which raised some big suspicions from the other students who started to look at me cynically.
Like getting millions of glares questioning my status and who could be close to the famous Idol group, I was betrayed by my childhood friend.
The smartphone that was still in my hand now vibrated and received an incoming message from Elliot.
The message I read gave a warning about my statement that seemed to help the investigation process of the Idol group that was in a controversy like this.
I could only read the title news articles about it and read them carefully.
It just only... a relaxed attitude and calm behavior as if there was no problem at all for them as a Idol group.
Is this the Idol group that was in trouble a few days ago?
"Umm, may I know your name?" said Elysia in her cute tone that caught the attention of her Elf friends.
I realized that Elysia's gaze and her words were directed at her who wanted to befriend me.
"My name? Maybe this sounds a bit strange for the Elf race. My name is Weiss Guderian," I said while holding out my hand to get a handshake from Elysia.
"Weiss... Guderian... A name that sounds good and fits someone who can understand our condition. Isn't that you," said one of Elysia's friends while replaying a scene of me giving a big clue to the case that Elysia's Idol group is currently experiencing from her smartphone screen.
It seems like I have invited several gazes who are looking at me as if they are familiar with this Idol group called Yggdrasil Advent.
"Yes, that's me," along with that answer, I saw a rather exaggerated response from all of Elysia's Elf friends.
This feeling...
It seems like I have fallen into a trap.
