The air was heavy with sorrow at Yuna's father's funeral.
She felt small and helpless. Clutching her father's photo tightly, she stood in silence, tears blurring her vision.
When the funeral ended, Yuna's uncle knelt beside her.
"Listen," he said softly. "Don't worry about anything. I'll take care of you — your school, your home… everything."
Yuna wiped her eyes and nodded. "Okay..." she whispered.
Her uncle had always been kind to her, treating her like his own daughter. But his wife didn't feel the same. She saw Yuna as a burden — a threat to what she believed was rightfully hers.
Yuna's father had left behind enough to secure her future, and her aunt's resentment quietly grew.
Because Yuna had lost her mother at a young age, she had always felt lonely. She was afraid to form attachments with others, which was why she didn't have any friends. She was very quiet, often keeping to herself.
Yuna, still too young to understand, had no idea what lay ahead.
Yuna had prepared everything. She got herself a room and even enrolled in a new school.
"She's a high school student now."
Yuna didn't have many friends, so she wasn't feeling too nervous.
On her first day, she came out of her room and asked her uncle about her bicycle.
"That bicycle is a gift from her father, so she always cherished it."
"I prepared everything; it's clean and outside in the parking area. You can take it safely," assured her uncle.
After she left, Yuna's aunt murmured, "Why are you speaking like this to her? You are not a servant for her."
But he said nothing.
Yuna took her bicycle. While riding it, she always remembered how her father cherished her.
"Never forget these words when traveling in your life," her father had once said.
"Life is always unpredictable. Whatever happens, you have to face everything."
Her father said this while cleaning her bicycle. That bicycle was like a family member to Yuna.
On her way to school, she was confused about the route. Every road seemed new. She didn't know where to go next, simply staring at the road.
Suddenly, Yuna noticed that there was a nice sports car.
"There's a car!" In that car, there was a girl. Yuna could see her clearly. She was wearing the same uniform.
"Looks like she's in the same school," Yuna thought.
Suddenly, that girl asked Yuna, "Why are you standing here? Do you need anything?"
Yuna thought, "Oh, God! My face is drenched with sweat!"
Feeling embarrassed, Yuna replied, "I'm just asking about the direction."
The girl said, "Follow me! I'm in that same school. Don't worry, I'll lead the way."
Yuna followed her to the school and finally found it.
It was the first day of school.
Everyone was excited about the new academic year. Many new students were appointed.
In the first place, that school was famous for academics and sports.
The school bell rang.
Everyone found their class and went in. Yuna also found her class — Grade 11, Class B3.
Yuna entered the class.
"I feel very nervous. It's really tough... I don't even know a single person. Where should I sit? Everyone is with their friends," she thought.
Yuna found an empty seat, sat down, and looked around the class.
The teacher entered the class. Everyone was quiet.
Suddenly, there was a voice. "May I enter the class, sir?"
It was the girl who had shown Yuna the way to school.
Yuna was shocked.
The teacher said, "Come in. You're a new one, right?"
The girl replied, "Yes, sir."
The teacher asked, "Introduce yourself and find a place to sit."
She came inside, and for two minutes, there was silence. In that silence, everyone looked at her.
"Good morning, everyone. I am Iris. It's nice to be here. I'm looking forward to being with you."
Iris spoke with confidence. She had a bold personality, always drawn to adventure and fun.
"Any questions? You can ask..."
"Iris... what a unique name," the teacher said.
Suddenly, there was a voice — [Boy's voice]
"Are you a girl or a boy?"
She just stared at the boy, unfazed.
"Because you look like a boy — with that haircut, the way you talk, and how you walk... everything!"
[Everyone laughed]
Iris smirked and said, "Well, guess that makes me cooler than you!"
The class chuckled, impressed by her bold response.
"Enough!" the teacher said. "Go and sit in your place."
She sat next to Yuna.
After that, the teacher asked new students to introduce themselves .
New students introduced themselves, starting with Yuna.
"Good morning everyone, I am Yuna," she said.
And continuously, two more new students followed.
After the class, only Iris introduced herself to Yuna.
"Hi, you are the one who was stuck on the road on the first day of school," Iris said.
Yuna replied, "Yes, I am that one. I am also new to this school."
"Okay, come, let's go to the canteen and eat," suggested Iris.
Yuna just nodded her head, and they both felt comfortable with each other.
Iris was one of the most beautiful girl in that school!
Yuna is also a pretty girl with a calm nature.
Both beautiful girls formed a perfect pair.
While they were walking to the canteen, everyone stared at them.
"Wow... how pretty they are," someone whispered.
Iris had the most beautiful smile. She always smiled and had a bold personality.
Yuna had beautiful eyes.
Everyone was stunned by her captivating eyes as they walked into near the school garden.
While walking to the canteen, both Yuna and Iris saw a girl struggling with ragging by other class girls.
"They are bullying that girl and asking for money from her," Yuna said.
They harshly bullied her and pushed her down.
Iris got angry. She remembered that the girl who suffered was her classmate.
So, she stood by her side and fought with the girls with a bold attitude.
It was near the school garden, close to the lake view.
Iris grabbed another girl's bag and warned her not to bully others.
Suddenly, one of the bullies picked up a brick to hit Iris. Yuna panicked and wanted to save her.
So, Yuna pushed that girl, and in return, that girl pushed Yuna back, causing her to stumble into Iris.
Both Yuna and Iris slipped on the path. There was a bike with two boys nearby.
Both the girls slipped on the bike, and all four — Yuna, Iris, and the two boys — fell down into the garden lake near them.
Other students gathered near the lake.
After falling down, the four of them stood up from the lake.
Both the boys and the girls were facing each other.
Yuna got scared.
Iris, however, had confidence because she believed they could handle the situation.
Both the boys were busy wiping water from their faces.
Their white uniforms were wet, revealing their body shapes through the soaked fabric.
On the other side, the bike was damaged, and some parts were broken.
Yuna and Iris stared at the boys.
"They have nice bodies, beautiful eyes, and nice lips," Iris thought.
The boys looked cute while glancing at them.
While looking at them, Yuna stepped forward again, accidentally getting stuck and almost falling down.
One of the boys suddenly caught her.
They found themselves gazing into each other's eyes.
"It's God's grace that no one was seriously hurt," thought Yuna.
