Cherreads

Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: "She may be beautiful, but she’s also extremely rude."

She turned to Roland with an innocent smile, deliberately fanning the flames.

"You all need to calm down," Roland interjected, his patience wearing thin.

Victor, who had been quietly observing, suddenly spoke up. "Do you even know the meaning of your name?"

Irene blinked and pointed at herself. "Me? Why do you ask?"

Victor shrugged. "Nothing. Just curious."

Irene scoffed. "Whatever." Without another word, she pushed back her chair and strolled out of the dining room.

Victoria clenched her fists, turning to her father. "Dad?"

Roland didn't even look at her as he stood. "She's staying. That's final." Then, he walked out as well, leaving the tension hanging thick in the air.

Victoria turned desperately to her mother. "Mom, aren't you going to say anything?"

Rosalyn let out a quiet sigh, her voice resigned. "What can I say? Whatever he says… goes."

Not that she can't go against her husband, she just love him so much and doesn't want to lose him

She knows he had other woman in his heart but he chose to be with for some reasons unclear to her herself.

Club B

In a dimly lit corner of the club, Victor leaned in, lowering his voice. "How on earth did you manage to convince Brian to come here?" His mind raced, imagining all the tactics Richard must have used to drag their ever-serious friend to a place like this.

Richard smirked, shaking his head. "Convince him? Do you think I have that kind of power?" His expression made it clear—getting Brian to do anything was next to impossible.

Victor chuckled. "Still, seeing him here makes it feel like we're in a conference room instead of a club."

Both of them burst into quiet laughter.

"I can hear you two, you know?" Brian's voice cut through their amusement, though his face remained as unreadable as ever.

Joshua, one of Brian's close friends, nudged him playfully. "Just ignore them and loosen up. Stop ruining the mood."

Brian simply gave him a flat look—one that clearly said, I don't care.

Just then, a sultry voice interrupted.

"Hello, young men."

The group turned as Susan approached. She was one of the most stunning women in all of Country B a rare beauty who rarely paid attention to anyone at the club—except Brian. She had been interested in him for a long time, but no matter how many times she tried, her feelings were never reciprocated.

Victor flashed a charming smile. "Hello, pretty."

Richard leaned back, smirking. "To what do we owe the pleasure of being greeted by a beauty like you?"

Susan blushed lightly at the compliment.

Joshua, never one to be left out, added, "Don't listen to these brats. A beauty like you belongs to the older, more refined generation—like me." He winked playfully, making Susan giggle. She loved being admired, but there was only one person she truly wanted attention from.

Her gaze finally landed on Brian. "Hello, Mr. Handsome."

Brian barely looked up from his phone, simply giving a curt nod in response.

Still undeterred, Susan leaned in slightly. "Can I have the pleasure of having a dance with you tonight?" Her voice held a hint of expectation, as if hoping this time would be different.

She is known for her dancing, since she a dancer but only come to club because of Brian, although he's always serious but once a while he come to club but the other of his gangs comes every Friday, something Saturdays and Sundays

"I would love to have a dance with you but unfortunately you don't want me"

Victor teased before Brian could even react to the invite although we all know he won't accept it.

Victor and Richard are known for their playboy nature and flirting lines and this Susan know so she just smile at his comment since she knows he doesn't mean it

Before Brian could even react, Richard laughed. "Why don't you dance with me instead? I promise never to leave you." He also teases her

Susan blushed again but kept her focus on Brian, still waiting for an answer.

Joshua, noticing the awkward tension, sighed. "Brian, can you not be so cold to a beauty like her?"

But Brian remained completely indifferent, his eyes glued to his phone, probably handling some business deal even in the middle of a club.

After a few more seconds of silence, Susan finally gave up, masking her disappointment with a polite smile. "I'll see you guys around some other time. Bye, Brian."

She flashed him her sweetest smile before walking away, though everyone could see the flicker of disappointment in her eyes.

"Why are you even here?" Victor sulked, staring at Brian with mild irritation.

"You just came to ruin the fun for us, didn't you?" Richard added with a sigh.

Joshua smirked. "You know what? Just don't come to the club again. Let's stick to meeting in conference rooms—where you actually belong."

Brian ignored their teasing and casually asked, "Where's Daniel?"

Victor leaned back, crossing his arms. "Am I supposed to know? I'm not his keeper."

But when Brian's sharp gaze landed on him, Victor immediately changed his tone. "I mean, I don't know where he is… Besides, he's your friend. Shouldn't you be the one keeping track of him?"

Before Brian could respond, a sudden roar erupted from the dance floor. The crowd had gathered around a woman in the center, all eyes fixed on her.

A stunning lady swayed her hips in a sheer black mini dress, the fabric hugging her curves while leaving little to the imagination. Her dirty brown hair was loosely tied in a messy bun, strands falling over her face, giving her an effortlessly seductive look. The red bottoms of her black heels gleamed under the flashing lights as she moved. The men in the club were captivated, their cheers growing louder, while the women burned with jealousy.

"Damn… Who the hell is she?" Richard asked, his eyes fixed on the mesmerizing sight.

Joshua let out a low whistle. "And here I thought I'd seen all the beauties in this city."

Victor smirked. "She may be beautiful, but she's also extremely rude."

Joshua turned to him with curiosity. "Wait… You know her?"

Victor leaned in slightly, as if spilling a juicy secret. "That young beautiful woman he praised, is the latest drama in my house—my father's illegitimate daughter." With a smile playing in his lips

"What?!" Richard looked at him in shock.

Joshua grinned. "Can I be your in-law?"

Richard still couldn't process it. "Your father has an illegitimate daughter?!"

Victor shrugged. "It's a very long story."

"Can you buy it short" Richard said ready to listen to gossip

Joshua, still watching the dance floor, shook his head in amazement. "Forget about the story. The real issue here is how insanely beautiful she is."

Irene, oblivious to their conversation, kept moving to the music, her body swaying effortlessly, her confidence making her even more alluring. But just as the song reached its peak, a firm grip closed around her wrist.

"What the hell are you doing, Daniel?!" she snapped, yanking her arm away as Daniel pulled her toward their booth.

His face was dark with anger. "What on earth do you think you're doing? Are you trying to ruin my father's reputation?"

Unbothered, Irene plopped down into an empty chair. "Is that why you interrupted my fun?"

Daniel scoffed. "If you can't follow the rules of the Brown family, then go back to whatever hole you crawled out of."

Victor rolled his eyes. "Can you stop being so dramatic?"

Daniel turned to him sharply. "Dramatic? You're just sitting here, watching her disgrace our father's name, and I'm the problem?"

Irene stood up, her lips curling into a mocking smile. "What's your issue? Stop acting like you own me. I don't care about your father's name because guess what? This is my life, and I'll live it however I damn well please. So, let this be the last time you interfere in my business. Are we clear?"

Your father's name in the mud or anywhere it seems fit, I don't care. Thanks you

She flashed one last smirk before turning on her heel and strutting out of the club.

Joshua exhaled, shaking his head. "She's a woman, Daniel. You need to handle her with more care."

Daniel scowled. "Care? Did you even see what she was wearing? And that dance—"

Richard cut in with a chuckle. "She's just a kid. Let her have her fun."

"Actually she's the same age as Victoria?" Victor said not that he's siding with Daniel but calling a 25 year old a kid,he won't accept that

"Really?" Richard asked in surprise

"She look so young I thought she's like 20 or 21 and Daniel even if she's 25,that gives her more right to do what she wants, you should treat that poor thing that way"

Daniel huffed. "That's your opinion." And they all continue talking

As the conversation moved on, no one noticed the small, amused smile playing on Brian's lips.
