Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: "That's what I call a bad habit,”

Club B

"Why is everywhere so quiet?" Joshua asked, his voice cutting through the dull hum of the club.

"With the loud music on, how can you consider this quiet?" Victor replied with a raised eyebrow, clearly not sharing Joshua's sentiment.

"Has Irene's friend arrived yet?" Richard asked, his voice tinged with impatience.

"So you know her friends are coming?" Victor asked, taking a sip from his whiskey, watching the group with interest.

Richard looked confused for a moment and then replied, "I knew about a friend, not friends."

"Can we stop talking about Irene?" Victoria interjected, clearly not enjoying the conversation centered around Irene.

"Should we talk about you then?" Richard joked, his eyes twinkling.

"There's nothing to talk about her anyway," Victor teased, leaning back in his seat with a smirk.

Victoria, not bothered by their teasing, asked with a serious tone, "Is Brian coming?"

"Try to be self-conscious," Daniel shook his head at his sister, clearly growing impatient.

"You know, that lady Irene is so rude," Mary chimed in amidst the conversation, her tone flat.

"What are you both doing here?" Joshua asked, still not understanding why Mary and Victoria came to the club with them.

"Irene is allowed, and we're not allowed?" Victoria asked, her tone serious, while the rest of the guys were left perplexed, except for Daniel, who seemed unfazed.

"To enjoy the night," Mary replied, trying to steer the conversation in a different direction.

"Or you're here for Victor?" Richard teased, looking at Mary and Victoria to ease the tension.

"If you have nothing to say, shut it and don't say nonsense," Victoria snapped, her annoyance clear.

"Is Brian coming?" Joshua asked, changing the subject again.

"I don't know," Richard replied, pulling out his phone to call Irene. "Hello, Irene?"

"Hello," Irene's soft voice came through the line.

"Aren't you coming to the club today?" Richard asked.

"Just got to the parking garage," Irene said, the background noise indicating she was almost there.

"Okay, expecting you," Richard said before hanging up.

"Are you also interested in my sister?" Victor asked, his eyebrow raised with curiosity.

Richard smiled, "She's my friend, that's all."

"I don't know how you're able to make friends with her," Daniel commented, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"She's a nice person, from what I see," Richard praised, defending Irene in his usual relaxed manner.

"But she's rude," Mary pointed out, to which Victoria nodded in agreement.

"That's her spicy side," Richard said in Irene's defense, clearly enjoying the banter.

"Thanks," Victor said, though Mary and Victoria both rolled their eyes in response.

Meanwhile, Irene and her friends entered the hall, the beat of God is a Woman by Ariana Grande pulsing through the club.

"Can I have this dance?" Justin asked, his voice full of charm.

"I'm all yours, baby," Irene replied, a mischievous smile dancing on her lips. They made their way to the center of the floor, where they began dancing in a seductive, carefree way. The crowd went wild, the club erupting in cheers and applause.

"Why is there so much noise?" Mary asked, puzzled by the ruckus.

Victor grinned, clearly recognizing the cause. "Maybe Irene just got here."

"She's probably wearing something crazy," Richard added, imagining what Irene might be wearing.

"How can you guys be so sure it's her?" Mary asked, her annoyance apparent at their casual amusement over Irene's antics.

"Let's go check," Joshua suggested, eager to see for themselves. The group made their way toward the center of the action. As they approached, they saw Irene and Justin dancing, with Esmeralda hyping them up, holding a bottle of Hennessy in hand.

"I knew it was her," Richard said, glancing at Mary, a knowing smile on his face.

"Woah, who's that guy?" Joshua asked, eyeing Justin.

"Her male best friend," Victor replied, nodding.

"They seem pretty close. Damn," Joshua said, impressed.

"Can't she come here without creating trouble for me?" Daniel asked, frustrated, though he wasn't truly surprised.

"Can she be a little reserved?" Mary asked, clearly annoyed by the spectacle unfolding before her.

"Is it necessary?" Richard asked, raising an eyebrow, unbothered by the scene.

As they continued dancing, lost in their carefree energy, no one noticed that Brian and Julius had just entered the club. They made their way in, taking in the scene. The music finally ended with Irene striking a confident, sexy pose, and the entire club clapped and cheered.

"I thought Miss Irene didn't know how to dance," Susan remarked, surprised by Irene's performance.

"Depending on who's asking for the dance," Irene replied with a playful grin.

"Who's she?" Esmeralda asked, clearly intrigued.

"Supposedly the most beautiful," Irene exaggerated, her eyes twinkling.

"Is there anyone more beautiful than my baby?" Justin asked, his tone sincere but teasing.

"Woah, rich coming from the guy who said his ex was more beautiful than us combined," Esmeralda said, her eyes widening with mock surprise.

"I went astray then, if not?" Justin defended, and Irene and Esmeralda smiled at the playful exchange.

"Irene, come here," Richard called, his voice carrying through the noise.

"Who's that goddamn hot man?" Esmeralda exclaimed, eyeing Richard.

"My future boyfriend," Irene teased, causing Victor and the others to feign shock, though they were already used to her antics. Irene and her friends made their way over to Richard, but as they crossed paths with Brian, the atmosphere shifted.

"Hey, bro," Irene greeted Brian casually.

"Oh my god, I thought I'd seen it all," Esmeralda exclaimed again, her eyes wide.

"Stop it, are you trying to steal my future husband?" Irene whined, glancing at Esmeralda with a mischievous grin.

"You have a future boyfriend and a husband at the same time?" Esmeralda asked, her voice laced with amusement.

"I can't help it, baby," Irene said with a laugh, clearly enjoying the chaos she stirred.

"Beauty, are they brothers?" Joshua teased, his voice dripping with playful curiosity.

"Baby, don't be like that. I never trained you to act this way," Justin teased back, his grin matching Irene's.

Brian, unfazed, simply passed by them, heading toward a seat. The rest followed suit, settling down.

"That's feisty," Esmeralda whispered, impressed by the exchange.

"That's Brian, and that's Richard," Irene whispered to her friends, who nodded in acknowledgment. Irene decided to sit next to Richard, clearly ready to enjoy the night in her own chaotic way.

"Why are you always more sexy every time I meet you?" Joshua flirted with Irene, his grin mischievous.

"Because I want all your attention to myself," Irene replied with a wink, taking a sip from Victor's cup as she sat between him and Richard.

"Who's this beautiful lady?" Justin asked, his eyes on Victoria, who had just entered the conversation.

"That's my sister," Irene answered, a proud smile on her face.

"Whoa, how did she transform from a pumpkin to a phoenix?" Justin praised, clearly impressed.

"How can you call her a phoenix, what am I then?" Irene whined, crossing her arms dramatically.

"An ostrich," Justin said with a teasing grin, causing everyone to burst out laughing—except for Brian, Daniel, and Irene.

"I think you're going astray again," Esmeralda joked, shaking her head at Justin's antics.

"Baby, are you mad?" Justin teased Irene, nudging her playfully.

"You know what? I'm no longer interested in this friendship," Irene said dramatically, pushing him away with a smirk.

"Forever is the deal," Justin echoed, grinning as if nothing had happened.

"Your friends are cool," Richard commented, giving Irene's crew an appreciative look.

"Forgive my manners, these are my friends: this is Justin Skye, and she's Esmeralda Gold. They're both my best friends," Irene introduced.

"Nice meeting you," Victor said with a smile, offering a handshake.

"Same here, handsome," Esmeralda responded flirtatiously, giving Victor a playful wink.

"Is he a mute?" Justin asked, pointing toward Brian, his curiosity piqued.

"He had a hearing problem; he can't hear you unless you press some button," Irene said matter-of-factly, making Esmeralda laugh loudly.

"I'm sorry, I can't hold my laughter," Esmeralda said, trying to calm down.

"How dare you laugh? Do you know who he is? The son of the richest man in this country. Even Mr. Roland can't help you if he decides to kill you," Irene exaggerated, leaning into the joke.

"That's scary," Justin said, raising an eyebrow at Brian, trying to figure out if Irene was serious.

"Is all this funny to you guys?" Victoria asked, her voice flat, clearly not impressed by the jokes at Brian's expense.

"Isn't it?" Esmeralda asked, raising her eyebrows as if it was obvious.

"How can you make fun of someone sitting right in front of you?" Victoria asked, her voice stern.

"Am I supposed to make fun of someone when they're not around? That's what I call a bad habit," Esmeralda shot back, unfazed.

"I forgot to introduce my friend properly," Irene said with a smirk. "She has anger issues."

"So, am I supposed to be scared?" Victoria asked, her tone dry, clearly challenging Irene's teasing.

"Just in case," Irene said with a wink at Victoria.

"Guys, calm down," Justin intervened, sensing the tension. "Even the guy isn't saying anything. Why are you so worked up, pretty?"
