Chapter 18 - 018: Provoked on the First Day of School

Who would have thought, one day he would be defiled by a bastard girl from the town.

Rationality was obliterated at this moment. Without waiting for He Zhenzhen to say another word, Yu Nian turned and started walking toward the back row.

He Zhenzhen was momentarily stunned, staring at her retreating back, then quickly shouted, "Sister Nian, don't act impulsively!"

Despite saying this, there wasn't the slightest intention to intervene on her part.

The surrounding classmates all turned their eyes toward them, wearing expressions of anticipation, as though watching a performance.

Yu Nian stormed over to Yu Zhi's side, using all her strength to kick her desk: "Bitch!"

The legs of the desk screeched against the floor, producing a sharp 'sssrrkk' sound.

Yu Zhi stopped swiping on her phone and raised her eyes to Yu Nian, a chilling aura emanating from her: "Bitch? Who are you calling bitch?"

Her voice was ice-cold to the extreme, making one feel as though they were standing in a snow-covered wasteland.

Yu Nian didn't catch the deeper meaning behind her words. She let out a cold snort, crossing her arms smugly, full of superiority: "Of course I'm calling you! Do you think just because of this face of yours, you can do as you please? You're nothing more than a pest hiding in the gutter—a bastard who can't be acknowledged in public. And yet you actually think you're someone significant?"

As soon as these words left her mouth, the classroom was filled with the sound of people sucking in cold breaths.

Not feeling it was enough, Yu Nian seized the books from her desk and swung them hard toward her face.

If I ruin that face, let's see how she keeps seducing Teacher Ji!

Yu Zhi reacted swiftly, leaning back and catching the book with one precise motion.

A faint pain surged into her hand. Lowering her gaze, she focused on the bloodstreak slicing through her hand, where blood droplets continuously welled up from the cut left by the edge of the paper.

The smell of blood grew stronger, curling up into her nose. Yu Zhi's long lashes trembled faintly as a hint of red flickered in her light coffee-colored almond eyes.

"Still dare to dodge?!"

Yu Nian, seeing her plan fail, instantly let her bright, delicate face contort with darkness.

She raised her palm, about to strike Yu Zhi's face, but before she could touch her cheek, Yu Zhi firmly clamped down on her wrist and kept her completely immobilized.

"Heh."

A grim, predatory glint crossed Yu Zhi's eyes, her entire being exuding a ruthless aura.

Before Yu Nian could react, Yu Zhi twisted her wrist violently, then followed with a kick to the chair that sent it crashing into her abdomen.

"Ah—"

Yu Nian tumbled to the ground clutching her wrist, letting out a piercing scream full of agony.

Her face turned ghostly pale, sweat beading on her forehead. She was a picture of disarray and disgrace, all traces of her earlier arrogance completely gone.

The surrounding classmates watched the scene unfold, wide-eyed and speechless. No one dared to make a sound.

They never expected a girl could strike with such brutal force.

Lin Chengyu nudged Lu Li's elbow, flashing a roguish grin: "Man, this chick's savage."

Lu Li said nothing, his chin propped up with one hand, observing Yu Zhi with a flat expression.

In his pitch-black eyes, a gleam of strong interest flickered.

"Still want to curse?"

Yu Zhi leisurely approached Yu Nian, crouching down in front of her, the corner of her lips curling into an almost imperceptible smile.

Her tone was filled with blatant provocation and an air of dominating arrogance, driving Yu Nian into a furious shame.

The humiliation overwhelmed her fear, spurring her to struggle and rise to her feet. Grinding her teeth and glaring at Yu Zhi, she wished she could strangle her to death on the spot.

Her gaze landed on the glass-bottled cola sitting on the front desk, and Yu Nian quickly grabbed the bottle and swung it toward Yu Zhi's head: "Bitch! Die!"

Yu Zhi sneered lightly, effortlessly swatting her hand aside.

The glass bottle shattered everywhere, fragments scattering across the floor like blooming flowers.

Yu Zhi grabbed Yu Nian by the clothes, her rage radiating even more intensely, as she pinned Yu Nian's head down, slamming it again and again onto the desk.

The repeated 'bang bang bang' sounds seemed to hammer directly onto the hearts of everyone present.

It was only after Yu Nian passed out entirely that Yu Zhi released her grip, tossing her into the aisle like discarded trash.

"Enjoying the show?"

Yu Zhi's gaze swept casually over the stunned crowd, before she returned to her seat, grabbing a tissue and calmly wiping her fingertips.

No one uttered a word; the classroom was dead silent, their disbelief and consternation palpable in the air.

A daring student inched toward the aisle to take a look, only to find Yu Nian sprawled across the shattered glass fragments, her white shirt soaked in streaks of dark crimson blood.

Lying there motionless, she looked as lifeless as a corpse.

The student recoiled instantly, stumbling two steps backward, her face drained of color: "Ah!!"

"She… she killed someone..."

"She killed her! She killed her!!"

Screams erupted, terror and panic spreading as the classroom descended into chaos.

Within minutes, Ji Jingchen rushed in, hastily scooping Yu Nian up from the pool of blood. Before leaving, he turned and shot Yu Zhi a glance, his expression steady as ever: "To my office. Now."

"Mm."

Yu Zhi responded faintly, clutching her phone as she rose from her seat, walking out of the classroom at her own leisurely pace.
