"We're not a couple." Yu Zhi gently pushed the menu aside, then turned to Lu Li and said, "You order. I don't know what to eat."
The waiter retreated half a step awkwardly, slightly bowing. "Apologies."
"It's fine." Lu Li lowered his eyes slightly, his ears still burning uncomfortably. Feigning composure, he opened the menu and began looking through each item carefully.
Yu Zhi rested her chin on her hand, gazing leisurely at the scenery outside the window, completely unaware of his unease.
"How do you want your steak cooked?" A gentle voice, soft like the breeze, suddenly entered her ears.
Yu Zhi glanced at him. "Medium well."
Lu Li asked again, "What about dessert? What flavor do you like?"
As Yu Zhi was about to answer, the phone placed to the side began to ring. She glanced at the name labeled on it and swiped to answer.
"Where are you?" Shi Wei, staring at the increasingly dim sky outside, furrowed his brows tightly.
