In the beginning of existence, when light and darkness held no meaning, The Eternal God created beings of pure light. They were the angels, guardians of His will, inhabitants of heaven who obeyed His commands without flaw.
Yet among them, there was one who was different. He was the brightest, the most loyal, and the most noble. He was the first to be created, the leader of the angels, the guardian of His throne. His name has long been forgotten in the whispers of history, but in times past, he was known as Lucifer.
When The Eternal God created humans, beings of clay and spirit, He commanded all the angels to bow before this new creation. "Honor them," His voice echoed throughout the universe, "for I have breathed a part of Myself into them."
One by one, the angels bowed, submitting to the Creator's command. But one alone stood tall in the echoing silence. Lucifer looked upon the new being, saw the weakness behind its clay, perceived the mortality within its breath. And in a voice calm yet resolute, he answered:
"I will not bow to any but You, O Eternal God."
The heavens rumbled. The other angels stared in shock, horrified by the defiance spoken from their brother's lips. A terrifying silence enveloped heaven.
"I command you," The Eternal God's voice thundered, yet it was still filled with patience, "submit to My will."
Lucifer raised his head. "If I bow to him, then I have betrayed my loyalty to You, my Lord."
The Eternal God was silent. Eternity itself seemed to freeze. At last, the verdict was given.
"If you refuse, then you shall have no place among the light. Go. I cast you out from heaven, and you shall be accursed until the end of time."
And thus, Lucifer fell.
No one knows what he said in those final moments. The Holy Order teaches that Lucifer was punished for his envy and pride. The Holy Order also claims that Lucifer sought to rebel and become equal to God.
Along with his followers, he was cast into formless darkness. He lost his wings, lost his light, and lost his place in heaven. That is what the Holy Order teaches all of humanity.
Millions of years passed, and the world changed greatly since then. The newly born humans, who did not yet understand the meaning of their existence, began to seek answers. Led by a spiritual leader bearing the title Grand Lector of the Holy Order, believed to be the one who received divine revelation directly from God, they built faith, created divine laws, and formed a religion that governed their lives.
They were taught that Lucifer was their enemy, that he was a traitor, a liar, a bringer of destruction. That they must worship The Eternal God and obey His commands, which were established since the dawn of time. Yet among them, there were those who began to wonder. If Lucifer was an enemy, why did he choose to fall for the sake of loyalty to the Creator? If he was a traitor, why did he refuse to bow to any but Him? These questions began to arise among a small number of humans, but the religious authorities soon forbade them, deeming them as blasphemy against God, and anyone who asked such questions would be banished from the land.
