Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 : Agni against Abyss

[24 August 2115 (00:31 am)]

Manikarnika Ghat Kashi, Underwater

Arya and her team dive into the sacred yet eerie depths of the Ganga, chasing the trail of a deadly Naag. The water is dark, heavy, and alive with unseen danger. They communicate with quick hand signals, their eyes alert.

Arya raises her hand in a sharp signal — Stay alert.

Jenin suddenly pauses, forming intricate mudras with both hands. He chants a spell that glows faintly around his lips.

Jenin: [Yantra to Communicate Underwater]

A wave of energy ripples through the water, brushing over the team.

Arya: Huh? What just happened?

Jenin: You can talk now. The Yantra bends the vibration of our voices through water.

Pratham: That's... insane. How does it even work?

Tamanna: You had this the whole time?

Jenin: Sorry, had to adjust it to match the river's spiritual density.

Ahead, Arya and Lieutenant Commander Suryapratap dive deeper without pause, cutting through the thickening gloom like arrows.

Divyansh: Guys, Arya's getting too far ahead! Let's move—run—I mean dive!

They all shoot forward.

Arya (thinking): Where is that Naag? It's 700 meters long. There's no way it just disappeared. Unless... it's here. If only I could use Agni Yantra down here...

Just then—

A massive serpent head emerges from behind her like a shadow from a nightmare. One of its hundred heads.

Arya spins mid-water, slashing it clean off in a flash. But before she can blink, three more heads surge toward her.

Arya: It must be here!

Before she can strike—

Suryapratap appears like a spear through the current, his weapon piercing through all three heads with brutal precision.

The river turns dark. Blood clouds the water, twisting and blinding their vision.

Arya look around but her vision is so dark. Suddenly a poisonous arrows attacks on them.

Arya shocked and her blurry vision make it more hard to dodge them. One of arrow hit Arya.

Arya : Oh no. It has poison inside.

Suryapratap dodge those arrow but Arya and his distance increase. In sneak attacks he can not help her.

Suddenly water starts to vibrats. Shockwave even touching riverbad. From the below a dark and huge figure emerged. It's eyes are red. After that so many eyes started glowing in darkness. Arya understood that it is none other than that Naag it's 100 heads are fully recovered now.

Arya clutches her arm where the poisonous arrow struck. The venom seeps in quickly, dulling her senses, clouding her mind.

Arya (thinking): This poison… it's messing with my focus… my breath… my vision…!

Her grip weakens. Her Yantra blade flickers. The swirling water feels heavier now—like it's trying to crush her.

Above her, Suryapratap is locked in a high-speed battle with incoming serpentine heads. He's too far, and surrounded.

Suryapratap (shouting): Arya! Stay conscious! Don't let the poison win!

Arya floats in the darkening current. Her breathing becomes erratic. Her thoughts—fragmented. But still she try calm herself.

Suddenly—

A shockwave surges upward from the riverbed. The sheer pressure rattles the ground.

Cracks ripple across ancient stone. The riverbed shakes beneath them.

Arya: So… it regenerated…

The Naag's 100 heads emerge from the depths—larger, faster, and brimming with Srapit Shakti. Its crimson eyes burn through the darkness, its presence suffocating.

Without warning, it unleashes another volley of poisoned arrows—aimed straight at Arya. Her senses still reeling from the earlier wound, she struggles to react.

Suddenly—

Tamanna cuts through the current like a streak of silver, raising both her hands as her Yantra activates.

Tamanna: [Mantra to activate Pasan Yantra]

Stone fragments from the riverbed swirl around Arya, forming a thick barrier of jagged rock. The poisoned arrows shatter harmlessly against it.

Tamanna: You're not alone, Arya!

Moments later, Divyansh appears, his palms glowing with Yantra energy. He clenches his fists and chants.

Divyansh: [Mantra to activate Matsya Yantra]

Dozens of spectral, fish-like entities with razor-sharp noses materialize, darting through the water like torpedoes. He launches them at the Naag—one, two, ten—

Heads explode in trails of dark blood as the summoned beings tear into the beast's flanks.

Arya (shocked): Tamanna? Divyansh?

Divyansh: Just don't overdo everything by yourself.

Tamanna (grinning): We deserve a chance to shine too, don't we?

Arya steadies herself, fire flickering once more in her eyes, as her allies take their positions beside her. Together, they prepare for the real battle.

As Arya, Tamanna, and Divyansh push forward against the monstrous Naag, the current begins to twist unnaturally. The water vibrates with ancient energy.

Suddenly, dozens of glowing serpents shoot out from the Naag's mouths, aiming to bind the trio. The pressure builds—

Jenin: [Calmly from above]

Enough.

A swirl of blue light pierces through the murky depths. Jenin descends, arms extended, forming precise mudras. His yantra glows along his arms.

Jenin: [Mantra to activate Jal Stambhan Yantra]

An enormous sphere of still water envelops Arya's group, freezing the movement of the incoming serpents mid-flight.

He lands gracefully beside them, water rippling outward.

Jenin: This water listens to me now. You fight. I'll contain.

Tamanna: Took you long enough!

Jenin (smiling): Beauty is in timing.

Divyansh: Your timing better hold up. That thing's growing stronger every second.

Suddenly, the Naag rears its heads and releases a deafening underwater roar—a pulse wave smashes into Jenin's water barrier. Cracks appear in it. The team braces—

From above, something blazes through like a missile. A golden streak.

Pratham: [Shouting] GET BACK!

He slams both palms together—

Pratham: [Mantra to activate Vajra Rekha Yantra]

A glowing golden line forms in the water and then explodes into a massive, electrified grid. The Naag shrieks in pain as its heads get caught in the web. Lightning courses through its body, paralyzing it momentarily.

Arya: Pratham!

Pratham: Sorry I'm late. I was setting this up.

Jenin (raising an eyebrow): Impressive. You fried at least twenty heads.

Pratham: Twenty down. Eighty to go.

The five now stand united in the deep darkness beneath the Ganga—each glowing with their Yantras, each breathing hard but steady.

The Naag thrashes wildly, water erupting around it like underwater storms.

Arya (gritting her teeth): This ends now.

Arya raise her sword and launch herself to Naag. This time she didn't show any mercy on that Naag. She activated her Agni Yantra on her sword kwoning this will not work but still she try. Lot's of head attacked on her.

The Naag's colossal form twists like a hurricane of darkness and teeth.

A hundred heads snap toward Arya like an avalanche.

Arya's blade burns bright, even underwater.

The Agni Yantra thrums along its length, its flames warping the very river around her.

Arya (whispering): No fear. Only fire.

And then she moves—

Not swimming, blitzing.

Arya tears through the current, her body a blur. She weaves between fangs longer than swords, spins past scales harder than iron.

Every motion is deliberate. Every dodge — inches from death.

One head lunges — Arya slashes upward, severing it clean.

Two heads rush from either side — she flips backwards, driving her flaming sword into both their eyes.

The water boils around her.

Tamanna (staring): Is she... melting the river?

Pratham (gritting his teeth): No. She's bending it.

Suryapratap (watching calmly): She's entering her true state.

Another ten heads launch a combined barrage — poisonous arrows, venom sprays, bone-shattering bites.

Arya lets out a sharp breath, concentrating deeply.

Arya: [Mantra] AGNI YANTRA—VISHWA PRACHANDA!

The Agni on her sword explodes outward, forming a massive burning spiral.

It doesn't burn the water — it consumes the curse energy inside the river itself, turning the Naag's poison against it.

Arya spins with terrifying speed, cutting a bloody path straight through the spiral of heads.

Eight heads fall.

Then six more.

Then ten.

The others lash at her in blind rage — but Arya reads every movement, every vibration of their muscles through the water.

Her instincts are monstrous.

Suryapratap (thinking): She's not fighting like a soldier... she's fighting like a force of nature.

The Naag tries to entangle her—

Dozens of snake-bodies wrap toward her from all sides like a black cage.

Arya closes her eyes just for a second.

Arya: [Mantra] AGNI YANTRA—ANTIM SPARK.

BOOM!

A pulse of white-hot flame erupts from her.

The river shudders.

Even the sacred stones on the riverbed vibrate from the sheer force.

Thirty more heads are vaporized instantly.

Divyansh (staggering): What the hell...?

Tamanna (covering her mouth): She's like... a living explosion.

Jenin (eyes wide): So this... this is why Arya Singh is Ati-Khatarnak.

The Naag howls in fury and fear. Its body is half-ruined. Black blood oozes into the water like smoke.

But even wounded, it is a terror.

The remaining thirty heads coil into one monstrous spear of bone and muscle—the final strike.

Pratham (shouting): Arya—DODGE!

But Arya doesn't move away.

She charges directly into it.

Arya (shouting): I DON'T BACK DOWN!

She pulls all her remaining Agni energy into her sword, her body burning from the inside.

Her hair whips like fire underwater.

Her veins glow with curse energy refined, not corrupted.

As the Naag's massive spear comes crashing down—

Arya meets it head-on, her blade flashing forward like a shooting star.

SLASH!

The river splits.

A deafening shockwave ripples through the Ganga.

The very current reverses for a moment.

A sonic boom rolls out through Manikarnika Ghat.

When the water settles—

The 100-headed Naag floats in pieces.

Its heads, its fangs, its scales — all drifting away like ash.

Arya floats in the center of it all, her sword lowered, her breathing heavy but victorious.

Her comrades swim toward her, awe and pride in their eyes.

Pratham (grinning): Remind me never to spar with you.

Divyansh (laughing): We should charge money to watch her fight.

Tamanna: She's... unstoppable.

Jenin: No. She's inevitable.

Suryapratap swims close and places a hand on Arya's shoulder.

Suryapratap (serious, proud): You fought like a warrior of legends.

You fought like a Singh.

Arya (smiling faintly): It's not over yet... We still have to cleanse the river.

She glances upward at the surface — where the dark energies of the slain Naag still linger.

Arya: It's not over… not yet.

The Naag's half-shattered body trembled—and before anyone could react, its flesh began to pulse and twist grotesquely. Slowly, horrifyingly, it started regenerating.

The team's eyes widened in disbelief.

Suryapratap: What is this abomination?! How can a Srapit Aatma regenerate like that!?

Tamanna: If it keeps coming back like this… we won't be able to finish the mission.

Divyansh: We can't give up! I know power alone isn't enough… but until we find this Maag's weakness, we can't back down now!

But before the group could strategize, Arya dashed forward—without hesitation, without instruction. Her eyes burned with resolve. Her sword, already searing with Agni Yantra's flames, now roared brighter than ever.

Jenin: Wait! We can't just charge in like—!

Pratham: Let her go.

Jenin: But—!

Pratham: Trust her. She's the strongest among us. Believe it or not… Arya only truly fights when she fights alone.

Suryapratap: You're saying… she's about to unleash an all-out war?

Pratham nodded silently.

Arya raised her sword, and the flames engulfing it surged with renewed intensity. The Naag's form fully regenerated—this time, larger, more terrifying. Its body stretched from 700 meters to a monstrous 900.

But Arya didn't stop.

She slashed the water itself—a shockwave-blade burst forth, slicing through several of the Naag's heads in one devastating strike.

She slashed again—this time two flaming blades tore across the battlefield, ripping through even more serpentine skulls.

The Naag screeched in pain and rage. From all directions, heads lunged forward—fangs dripping with venom, poison needles launching like arrows, toxic mist swirling around her.

Arya moved like a storm.

Each needle was cut mid-air. Each fanged strike parried. Her movements became so rapid, her blade so furious, even her teammates couldn't track her anymore. In seconds, she had battered and wounded 10… 20… 30 heads.

But then—disaster.

One of the Naag's massive heads caught her sword in its jaws, halting her momentum. Her arms tensed as she struggled to pull it free, but more heads closed in. They bound her arms, encircled her—poison needles, venom, fangs, all struck at once.

And yet—

Arya's eyes didn't waver. Her heart didn't falter. Her flame… didn't die.

She twisted mid-air, using her feet to kick back the closing heads. Even bound, even surrounded, she fought like a blazing inferno.

Then—calmly, coldly—she spoke.

Arya: श्रापित शक्ति उद्घाटन — दिशाओं में विघटन!

A sudden silence.

Then—BOOM.

A cataclysmic shockwave of cursed flame erupted from her core, vaporizing everything around her in a circle of burning fury.

The Naag screamed in agony. The waters churned red-hot. And for a moment, it felt as if the heavens themselves had split open.

Arya suddenly appeared near the Naag's main head. Her eyes burned like twin infernos. She took her stance—feet locked, one arm pulled back, a terrifying silence in her breath.

Pratham: What is she doing now!?

Arya focused all her Srapit Shakti into that one fist. Curse energy cracked around her arm like lightning trapped in skin.

Arya: Let's end this.

She punched.

A brutal impact echoed through the riverbed. The Naag's skull recoiled. Its entire body, all 900 meters of it, trembled and began to rise.

Tamanna: She's forcing it out!?

Arya roared and struck again, this time aiming for its jaw. Another explosion of power. The Naag's body lurched upwards.

Arya: Get. Out. Of. My. Way!

Each word came with a punch. Each punch sent waves crashing in every direction. The earth beneath the river cracked. Stones floated. The water twisted into a rising spiral.

Jenin: What kind of strength is this!?

Arya grabbed the Naag's massive horn and planted her foot into the riverbed.

She pulled.

The Naag's body—each of its one hundred heads screeching in unison—was forcefully dragged out of the river. Its scale-covered length slammed against boulders and broken temple pillars.

Pratham: No way… she's really pulling that beast out with raw strength!?

With a thunderous crash, the Naag was yanked onto the land. Its gigantic form collapsed over the ruins of an ancient temple, exposed, vulnerable, and livid.

Arya leapt from the river and landed before it. Her fists still burned. Steam rose from her shoulders. Her sword hovered beside her, dancing with flames.

Naag: You… insolent flame… You dare pull me from my kingdom!?

Arya: You talk too much.

She vanished.

The final battle began—not underwater—but on scorched stone under a sky cracking with thunder.

Lightning cracked the sky. Rain poured down in sheets, hissing as it hit Arya's blazing sword. The battlefield steamed, fire and water clashing at her feet.

The Naag rose—its main head towering above, eyes glowing like cursed moons. The other 99 heads hissed and writhed behind, but it was the main one that stared her down.

Naag: You have ruined everything. I am not just a beast—I am a curse given form!

Arya: Perfect. I break curses for a living.

The Naag struck first. Its massive head lunged, fangs dripping black venom. Arya didn't dodge. She stepped in. Her sword slashed upward—Agni-Stra: Shatranj Vichhedan!—a flaming arc burst out, cutting the air itself.

But the Naag twisted mid-attack, coiling around Arya. Its scales clamped down, aiming to crush her with brute force.

Jenin: Arya!!

Pratham: Don't interfere.

Inside the crushing coils, Arya gritted her teeth. Her flames flickered—but didn't die.

Arya: You thought that would be enough?

She erupted.

A fiery shockwave blasted outward, blowing the coils apart. The Naag screamed. Arya shot forward, sword held low, her body spinning mid-air.

Arya: Agni Yantra—Dwandwa Chakra!

She slashed horizontally—two flaming chakras spun out like blazing buzzsaws, slicing through five heads at once. But the main head dodged, then fired a massive beam of venom straight at her.

Arya raised her sword and absorbed it.

Arya: I've seen your poison. Now taste mine.

She channeled it back—mixing her Agni Yantra with the venom—and launched it back at the Naag as a molten wave.

Naag: Impossible!

The wave smashed into its chest. The Naag stumbled back, cracks forming along its armored scales.

Naag: I was reborn through Srapit Shakti! I am eternal!

Arya: Then you'll die eternal deaths.

She sprinted.

Her blade spun. She jumped, flipped, landed on one of the Naag's mid-heads, then launched herself higher—skyward—lightning flashing behind her.

Arya: श्रापित शक्ति उद्घाटन — अनंत अग्निवर्षा!

A thousand flaming swords appeared in the sky behind her. Each one roared like a vengeful spirit.

Tamanna: What is that!?

Pratham: Her ultimate technique…

Arya: Burn!

She brought her hand down. The swords rained from the sky.

Each flaming blade pierced a head.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

Head after head exploded, scorched, incinerated. But the main head still remained, howling, half-burnt but alive.

Naag: I will drag you into death with me!!!

It lunged again, mouth wide open, larger than ever before.

Arya: Not today.

She vanished—appearing right inside the Naag's open mouth.

Arya: Die in silence.

She stabbed her sword deep into the roof of its mouth. Then whispered.

Arya: Agni Yantra—Shuddhi Samarpan.

The sword exploded.

A burst of pure, white-hot flame expanded from inside the Naag's skull.

A moment of silence.

Then—BOOOOM!!!

The Naag's main head detonated. Fire engulfed its body. The remaining heads turned to ash, collapsing into the ruins below.

Rain kept falling.

Arya dropped to one knee, sword in hand, flames dimming around her.

Pratham walked up, slowly.

Pratham: So… you broke the curse.

Arya: No. I ended it.

Lightning flashed one last time. The battlefield was silent.

The monster was gone.

And Arya stood—scarred, burning, and undefeated.

To be continue
