Once… there was an army that stood against the Abyss for millennia...
Once… there was a group of warriors who feared neither death nor sacrifice, their blood staining a thousand mountains…
Zhang Huanyun found himself speechless, unable to put his emotions into words."Blood God"—just hearing the name was enough to understand that this was a force capable of slaughtering even deities. As the commander of this army, he had come from the Battle God Hall, once hailed as the number one prodigy of his generation. At a young age, he had broken through to become a Titled Douluo, earning the title "Mingjing" (Bright Mirror). Now, he had risen to the rank of Limit Douluo, possessing a four-word battle armor, standing as a Demigod of the continent. When his Mingjing Domain was unleashed, even true gods had to give way.
That fateful day, it was the Battle God Hall that initiated it all. He had concealed his identity and joined this army, earning the rank of General through merit and strength, becoming the 32nd Commander of the Blood God Army. Yet, due to the army's unique nature, he had remained hidden for so many years.
Now, with the Federation's official decree stating that the Blood God Army could emerge into the world, how could they not be excited? These warriors had never feared death. The moment they donned their uniforms and arrived here, they had already steeled themselves for a battle to the death against the Abyss. Did they fear? Of course, they did. Even Zhang Huanyun himself feared—feared that after his death, the world would forget them. Feared that everything they had done would be erased from the Federation's history, leaving only the name "Blood God Army."
Because of this fear, deep beneath the Endless Mountain Range, they had erected a monument:"The Soul of the Blood Gods Shall Endure! The Will of the Continent Shall Never Waver!"
But now, they no longer had to be afraid. The Blood Gods would emerge—shaking the continent!
"Tianwu, review the troops!" Zhang Huanyun ordered firmly, his eyes filled with determination.
"Yes, sir!" Long Tianwu saluted.
"Remember, do not mobilize the Blood Division. Only take forces from the Divine Division. Also, don't forget to inform the Blood Division commander of this great news." Zhang Huanyun patted Long Tianwu on the shoulder.
Although he was the strongest in the Blood God Army, he was not the highest-ranking officer in every aspect. The army had two divisions: the Blood Division and the Divine Division. Each had a commander and a deputy commander, all of whom were Titled Douluo and three-word battle armor masters. His position was unique—he was the sole commander of the entire army, holding the highest authority aside from the division leaders.
Apart from these positions, there were also the legendary "Nine Blood Gods"—each a formidable Titled Douluo:
Blood One: Two individuals had held this title in recent history.
Cao Dezhi, a 99th-level Limit Douluo, titled "Ruthless," wielding the Ruthless Sword. He was the former leader of the Tang Sect, head of the Douluo Hall, former captain of the Shrek Seven Monsters, the first Blood God, a Federation Three-Star General, and a four-word battle armor master.
Leng Yaozhu, also a 99th-level Limit Douluo (Demigod), titled "Heavenly Phoenix," wielding the Heavenly Phoenix Martial Soul. She was the vice-chair of the Spirit Pagoda, vice-president of the Spirit Pagoda Council, a black-level mecha pilot, and a four-word battle armor master, known as the most beautiful woman in the Spirit Pagoda.
Cao Dezhi was forced to leave after the Tang Sect was labeled as a traitorous organization, while Leng Yaozhu took over his position.
Blood Two: A 97th-level Super Douluo, a three-word battle armor master, younger brother of Hanhai Douluo Chen Xinjie, and father of Blood Nine.
Blood Three: A Titled Douluo and three-word battle armor master, Yun Lan, the cousin of Skycovering Douluo Yun Ming, from Shrek Academy.
Blood Four: A Titled Douluo and three-word battle armor master, from the Battle God Hall.
Blood Five: A Titled Douluo and three-word battle armor master, tall and muscular, with dark skin. He was once a student under Skycovering Douluo Yun Ming at Shrek Academy.
Blood Six: A Titled Douluo and three-word battle armor master, small and unassuming, a speed-type Soul Master, from the Tang Sect.
Blood Seven: A Titled Douluo and three-word battle armor master, appearing to be a young man around 26 or 27, from the Tang Sect.
Blood Eight: A female Titled Douluo and three-word battle armor master, wielding a silver greatsword, from the Battle God Hall.
Blood Nine: A Titled Douluo with the Snake Spear Martial Soul, who lost his title after being defeated by Tang Wulin. He harbors feelings for Blood Eight and is the son of Blood Two, the nephew of Vast Sea Douluo Chen Xinjie, from the Battle God Hall.
From this, it was evident that despite the internal conflicts within the Federation's various factions, when it came to the crisis facing the Douluo Plane, they had all made tremendous sacrifices for the Blood God Army and the safety of the entire continent.
The Blood God Army, despite its name, was not a massive force in numbers. It consisted of only two divisions:
Blood Division: Named to symbolize their determination to fight to the death and never retreat. They were the frontline warriors against the Abyss, led by Commander Xu Weitao.
Divine Division: A special operations force, including mecha battle groups, heavy artillery defense units, and various auxiliary combat troops.
Though the army only had two divisions, each division contained five regiments, making them fully independent combat units.
The first public Blood God Military Review would showcase the Divine Division, as the Blood Division needed to remain ever-vigilant on the frontlines. But one day, the Blood Division would also have its moment in the spotlight—and when that day came, the world would cheer for them!
"Xu Weitao already knows," Long Tianwu reported. "But he said he feels uneasy. The Abyss Plane has been unusually restless lately, and he's worried something might be brewing. Still, from what our envoys have reported, he was thrilled."
"Haha! Getting old makes you wary!" Zhang Huanyun laughed heartily. "You'll oversee this review. Mobilize as many troops as you can without compromising security. We must showcase our strength so that everyone remembers the name Blood God!"
Zhang Huanyun then placed the music disc into the military broadcasting system. "Let's hear what kind of gift the Federation has sent us."
Long Tianwu, equally curious, waited as a deep, solemn melody filled the air.
"All… are brave…"
The broadcast echoed across the vast military camp, reaching the ears of every soldier. For the high-level Soul Masters, the sound was even clearer.
"Quite poetic," Long Tianwu chuckled.
"Indeed. This song has a way of stirring one's blood," Zhang Huanyun agreed with a smile.
"They say… carry the light… tame every beast…""They say… stitch your wounds… for no one loves a clown…"
"Why should solitude… not be honored…?"
A profound emotion surged between them. Why should solitude not be honored?
Not only Zhang Huanyun and Long Tianwu—every warrior in the Blood God Army heard the song. It resonated deep within their hearts, igniting a burning passion.
In the Blood Division, Xu Weitao silently shed tears. They had not been forgotten. The world had not forgotten their sacrifice…
