It's been 10 months since the day the system was usurped by James Moriarty, and in those 10 months, a few things happened and a few things were discovered. The first thing that happened was the immediate aftermath of that defining incident. Moriarty, while in control of the body, single-handedly prevented a villain gang war.
If you think about it, that sounds dumb; both villains and gangs are criminals, so a villain gang war seems kind of redundant. But let me explain—it's super simple. A villain gang is literally just a group of small thugs working for a decently powerful villain. A villain gang war occurs when two of those decently powerful villains and their gangs are fighting each other.
What's the difference between this and a normal gang war? Well, a normal gang war usually involves territory or some kind of product. But villain gang wars are literally just fights—large groups of villains who enjoy beating up and killing people working together. There's no territory or product; they just wander around and do whatever they want.
Anyway, because of Moriarty's actions, even if they were unintentional, many lives were saved. So, the police let the Midoriya system off with a warning, but Nezu was in trouble.
The HPSC found out about Izuku and his attendance at UA High. They didn't discover the whole system situation, but they did find out about the extremely powerful heroic student taking college classes at UA High, who was being personally taught by Principal Nezu, the smartest creature on Earth. Naturally, they insisted that he attend the next hero license exam. It didn't matter to them about his age; they just wanted the strange quirkless boy who was in a special program created by Nezu to be part of their less-than-legal program. Nezu, of course, refused and managed to bargain with them to allow Izuku to take the provisional hero license exam.
This was not ideal in Nezu's opinion. He had planned for Izuku and the rest of the system to take that exam at the same time as the rest of his age group. That way, he wouldn't stand out. Nezu knew that the only reason they even allowed this was that they believed Izuku was quirkless. Technically, that isn't a lie; he has no usable quirk, but it was still dishonest. However, that really never mattered to the HPSC. They got away with many crimes because of technicalities, loopholes, and laws all the time. They knew that if they provoked Nezu too much, he could forcibly make it so UA High School replaced the HPSC. The school already had a better reputation than they did, and with the number of skeletons hidden in their closet, one word from Nezu could lead to the entirety of their higher-ups suffering in prison or even facing the death penalty.
In a world of social constructs, Nezu is king. The commission had been run by incompetent, corrupt individuals for so long that skeletons were starting to overflow from the closet. Ever since Nezu met Izuku, he had been more proactive in gathering evidence. If Nezu informed specific political leaders about what the HPSC had done, they might even be labeled as a terrorist organization. So keeping Izuku happy was not just beneficial for the commission; it was essential. They couldn't assassinate him or anyone close to him either. They knew that the cunning rat had some way to release information, even if he died.
Anyway, I've just been writing about political intrigue. Let's get back to the story.
The system took the Provisional Hero License Exam and successfully obtained their licenses. Then the system started working at the Part-Time Hero Agency, doing everything from hero work to detective assignments to paperwork, and that was just one month's worth of time. After everything calmed down, Nezu was finally able to interact with his student again. They first discussed the incident in depth, allowing Nezu to learn about and study the quirks and abilities of all the alters that existed solely in the mindscape.
- Bob's quirk was called Infinite Ammo. As long as he held a weapon, he would never run out of ranged ammunition.
- Medusa's quirk is Pegasus. She can transform completely, halfway, or partially into a Pegasus—meaning she could turn only her head into a horse's head, grow Pegasus wings, or only have a horse's tail, and so on.
- Aries's quirk was the ability to manifest his actual robot body like a Jaeger.
- Stheno and Euryale's quirk allowed them to interact telepathically and mentally fuse into a singular being.
- Artoria's quirk was a more powerful, but only ranged version of Mordred's. She couldn't use it to empower her own body. Also, as mentioned before, her electricity was yellow.
- Igris's quirk was a physical enhancement that boosted all of his stats, but the quirk also majorly boosted his speed.
Walter's quirk was minor telekinesis. It wasn't that he lacked great range; his telekinesis just wasn't stronger than his physical body. However, the way he used it made it exceptionally powerful. He manipulated his telekinesis into invisible strings, which allowed him to use leverage. This enabled him to restrain and manipulate others, even if they couldn't feel or see the strings at work.
Nana insisted on not being mentioned to Toshinori, and Nezu obliged. All Might already had enough on his plate lately, and having to deal with this strange situation would be counterintuitive to his currently deteriorating health.
Nana couldn't possess the body because, technically, she wasn't an alter; she was a Vestige. She represented the remains of a person's mind within their quirk. However, this classification led her to discover something she could do: she could lend her quirk to the alters for a few seconds. It turned out that the ability she demonstrated with Mordred while fighting the shadow spider monster was something she could replicate with any of the alters. But it was only for a fleeting moment—she couldn't permanently grant any of them her quirk.
Anyway, that's how the ten months went. Nezu continued to teach the system, helping them refine their quirks. The part-time hero agency assisted the system in learning the basics of hero work. Now, the system was sitting at the part-time agency, waiting to hear about their current investigation into a group of villains still clinging to the days of the yakuza. This was a feeble effort to keep the declining criminal system alive.

Chapter over I know it's a little short, but this chapter is more of a time skip than an actual chapter. I don't know when the next chapter is coming out. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to have happen, but I will be having the overhaul arc moved up. I realized that I made a plot hole for myself so I'm have to move this arc up to sort of fix it. It won't make a huge difference, but it'll give something for the system To do because technically they can't participate in the sports festival because that would be blatantly unfair. Plus, I don't think Nezu would want them to participate in that. I would've made this chapter yesterday, but Weather got in the way. Anyway Bye!
