Natasha would be watching from the sidelines was at a loss for words. She was surprised by how strong Keith was and how good his was the with the sword. Each strike landing perfectly on the bears vital points. His sword style was lethal yet precise.
Each movement he made was swift and efficient. He dodged and deflected every attack from the attacks with ease. To her this battle was just one-sided. She tried to think how can he be that strong since every soul fighter and spirit combatant who had awakened their abilities were given two weeks to prepare which isn't enough time to get strong enough to take on fifteen bears all by themselves.
She thought that this man had to be a noble just like her but she had never heard of a noble family with name Kurosaki. "Is he a commoner?" she asked herself but that should be impossible considering how strong he is so the only logical answer was that he was a noble because she couldn't come up with any other logical explanation.
Back to the fight:
Keith weaved to two claw attacks from the giant bear by stepping to the side to avoid one attack and doing a flip to avoid the other. The bear sent a barrage of claw attacks at Keith which he skillfully evaded and retaliated with a few attacks of his own. He enhanced his sword with his ice manipulation to deal more damage to the beast.
He saw an opening and slashed the bear's side but it only left a scratch on the bear. "Shit!" he exclaimed as he dodged another attack from the bear.
"This bear has a high defense stat so killing won't be easy but I will be able to kill it. I just have to think of martial arts technique that will let me cut through its skin like butter," he thought to himself whilst weaving a few attacks and attacking as soon as he saw an opening.
Even though the bear lacked the speed the dodge his attacks it did have the defense to tank the attacks and only suffer from minor injuries. Its strength was also way higher than Keith and it could squash him like a bug if he wasn't so fast and nimble.
The bear sent a diagonal slash at Keith this time extending the length of its claws using ice manipulation. The claws tore through Keith clothes but luckily did not tear through his chest. Keith had applied a defense rune on his clothes in order to reduce the number of injuries in order to blood loss.
Keith's infinite regeneration requires him to have a lot of blood for his regeneration process to speed up just like any other creature that had health stat they required blood. The more blood they had the faster their regeneration. Of course, regeneration would end up recreating the blood cells after a few minutes of resting but during a fight there is no time to meaning that a fighter can't recreate them in time and if they continue losing blood their regeneration would become useless and they'd die.
Keith didn't have to worry about dying because his infinite regeneration but he will be unconscious for a few hours.
Keith swung his sword diagonally but this time the bear was able to dodge the attack and retaliated with an attack of its own and punched Keith in the chest and sent him tumbling backwards like a ragdoll. He hit a tree and his spinal cord was broken rendering him immobile for a few minutes. He coughed a mouthful blood as his body was gradually healing. His could feel his lungs going back to normal. His ribcage going into place and reassembling together.
The shattered pieces of his spinal cord reassembled and he was able regain movement. "That fucking hurt but I've had worse," Keith said as slowly stood up.
He used ice manipulation and his whole body was standing in the eye of tornado. The beast which was rushing at Keith felt a shiver run down its spine but it chose to ignore but it would later realize that was a fatal mistake.
Keith was creating an ice armor inside the tornado. He put all of his concentration and effort into creating the armor. He created ice boots meant to increase his speed and even applied an agility rune on them. He created a chest plate and applied ten defensive runes making an array. An array is created after applying ten or more of the same runes. He then created a helmet and even added two wings to his armor. The tornado that had formed around him dispersed and he revealed himself to his enemy.
The bear and Natasha were awestruck. Keith wore a majestic blue ice armor that resembled armor that was worn by samurai. His aura had become colder and deadlier than before and his presence alone sent shiver running up and down the bears spine.
Keith took a stance and with a sudden burst of speed he charged at the beast. The bear wasn't able to keep up with his movement and was only able to see a blur of blue light and nothing else. At that moment the bear's life flashed before its eyes. It remembered the days when it used to take care of its cubs feeding them its milk and teaching them to survive in the wild by teaching them how to hunt for food.
It also taught them how to use their talents once they awakened. It felt happy and content with its life. It didn't even try to defend itself against Keith. He slashed the bear's head severing it from its body. Keith dashed to Natasha and asked, "Are you okay?"
"Don't worry I am fine," she said with a smile on her face. Keith felt like he recognized that smile from somewhere and now that he thought about it the girl had close resemblance to someone, he knew in his past life but he couldn't remember who it was.
He decided to leave the matter alone and decided to look a notification from the system but there was nothing. Normally when there is no message it either means two things one it was weaker than him or two it wasn't dead.
Keith knew that was at least stronger than by one level so the only conclusion he could come up with was…
"It's not dead," he said his voice mixed with a bit of terror and confusion.
