Chapter 154 - The Clumsy Dance of Shimura Danzo

Uchiha Sasuke stood amidst the battlefield, his Sharingan gleaming with a mixture of confusion and disbelief. He had fought countless battles before, but never had he faced an opponent who attacked in such an absurd manner. Danzo, a man who had long schemed in the shadows, was now right in front of him, gripping a kunai with a strange sense of confidence.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes as he watched the elder shinobi rush at him, stabbing his Susanoo with that small blade as if he truly believed it would break through its defense. A flicker of amusement passed through Sasuke's mind. Had Danzo gone mad? Or was there some hidden technique at play? But as seconds passed, it became clear—there was no trick, no secret weapon. It was just Danzo stabbing at his Susanoo with blind determination.

Bang!

With a casual flick of his wrist, Sasuke willed his Susanoo to strike. The massive ethereal arm swept through the battlefield, slamming into Danzo's body and sending him flying. His form hit the ground with a sickening crunch, lifeless.

But then—Poof!

Danzo's body vanished, and in an instant, he reappeared a short distance away, his Sharingan still active. Izanagi.

Sasuke's expression darkened. He had known about this ability, but seeing it in action multiple times was infuriating. It made Danzo impossible to kill through conventional means. However, what irked Sasuke even more was Danzo's reaction. Instead of formulating a counterattack, instead of showing any sign of panic or strategy, Danzo simply pulled out another kunai.

"Heh... The Susanoo of the Uchiha truly is resilient," Danzo muttered, his voice carrying an air of forced wisdom, as if he had made some grand discovery.

Silence fell upon the battlefield.

Everyone who had been watching—the remaining shinobi, the few spectators who had come to witness this battle—stared at Danzo with blank expressions. Did he seriously need to state the obvious? Did he expect anyone to be surprised that Susanoo was tough?

Sasuke, still standing within his colossal Susanoo, pinched the bridge of his nose. This was getting ridiculous.

And then, as if determined to double down on his absurdity, Danzo reached into his pocket once more and slowly retrieved another kunai.

"It seems… that this kunai won't be enough for a fatal strike," he muttered to himself.

At that moment, Sasuke felt something he hadn't felt in a long time—secondhand embarrassment.

What was Danzo even thinking? Was this some new kind of genjutsu? Did he actually believe that a kunai would pierce through Susanoo?

Enough.

Sasuke exhaled sharply, his patience running thin. Without another word, he commanded his Susanoo to move forward, its massive arm reaching out for Danzo. The air trembled with raw power as the gigantic hand swung down—

Boom!

Danzo's body was crushed once again. Blood splattered across the ground. A moment later, his body flickered, and he reappeared once more.

Sasuke clenched his jaw. Again?

As if refusing to learn from his mistakes, Danzo performed the exact same sequence of actions—retrieving a kunai, rushing forward, and stabbing the impenetrable defense of Susanoo.

It was at this moment that the onlookers truly understood the depths of Danzo's insanity. Was he really trying to fight an ultimate defense with a mere kunai? Or had he simply lost his mind?

Yet, the true absurdity came next.

With all the confidence in the world, Danzo smirked and finally called upon his trump card.

"Summoning Jutsu… Baku!"

A massive beast materialized in the air—a colossal, tapir-like creature with an elongated snout and piercing yellow eyes. It loomed over the battlefield, letting out a deep, rumbling roar.

For a moment, some of the shinobi watching felt a flicker of unease. This thing actually looked formidable. Maybe, just maybe, Danzo had something worthwhile to bring to the fight.

And then—

Boom!

Susanoo crushed it.

Danzo's ultimate summoned beast was gone in an instant.

Silence.

Then—

"Hahahahahahaha!"

A cold, amused laughter rang through the battlefield. Everyone turned their heads to see the source—Uchiha Madara.

Madara, who had been watching quietly, was now grinning ear to ear. His Rinnegan eyes glowed ominously, reflecting nothing but sheer disdain.

"What a powerful trump card," he mocked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "That really shocked me for a million years."

Danzo's face twisted in rage. He turned towards Madara and spat out, "You're nothing but an old relic from the Warring States period! You think you're invincible just because you killed a few weaklings back then?! After I'm done with Uchiha Sasuke, I'll deal with you next!"

Madara's grin widened.

"Interesting… truly interesting," he mused, tilting his head slightly. "Do you know how long it has been since someone dared to speak to me like that?" His gaze sharpened, and the air around him grew heavy. "Danzo Shimura… you are the first in decades to utter such bold words in my presence."

A chill ran down the spines of everyone present.

Then, with a single step—Madara vanished.

The next second, Danzo's head was slammed into the ground with such force that the earth cracked beneath him. Blood pooled instantly, and his body was crushed beneath Madara's sheer power.

Izanagi activated once again, resurrecting Danzo at a safe distance. But before he could react—

"Almighty Push!"

A colossal force sent Danzo flying backward, crashing through multiple trees and rock formations. Dust and debris filled the air.

Danzo barely managed to stand, his body trembling.

Madara, still smirking, was already in front of him again.

"Are these… your clumsy dance moves?" Madara asked mockingly, gripping Danzo's throat. "It's pathetic. Can you not even entertain me?"

Danzo activated Izanagi again.

But this time, the moment he reappeared—

"Chibaku Tensei."

The ground trembled violently. A black sphere formed in the sky, pulling everything towards it with overwhelming gravitational force. Rocks, trees, and even entire sections of the battlefield were ripped from the ground and sent hurtling into the growing mass above.

Danzo, desperate, screamed as he was sucked in, his body slamming against the debris. His final moments were spent struggling uselessly against Madara's overwhelming power.

And then—silence.

The battle was over.

Madara dusted off his hands, his smirk never fading.

"What a disappointment," he murmured.

Souta Kazuki, who had been observing from the shadows, crossed his arms. He had expected some resistance from Danzo—but this? This was just embarrassing.

Shaking his head, he muttered to himself, "What a waste of ryo."
