Man → Goes to Jail.
For a woman, especially one sensitive about a particular aspect of her body, hearing the last thing she ever wanted to hear was like having a taunt skill maxed out to its limit.
The girl's crimson hair seemed to sway like that of a witch. Her shoulders trembled, her delicate hands clenched into fists, and her knuckles cracked ominously.
Her beautiful yet contorted face, her tightly gritted white teeth, she looked ready to bite through steel. Her yellow-green eyes burned with such fury they were about to turn into outright murderous intent.
Yazuki's [Taunt] skill had successfully maxed out the girl's hatred value, and he was ready for a death match against this woman, who had already transformed into a demon.
"Heh... heh... heh..."
She let out a bright, yet chilling laugh—a laugh that sent shivers down one's spine, as if something inside her had snapped.
The moment the burning rage in her yellow-green pupils shifted into icy calmness, Yazuki instantly raised his right hand to block.
"BANG—!"
His arm collided with the girl's spinning kick. The force made him wince in pain and take several steps back. Just how did this seemingly slender girl kick with such monstrous strength?
In the next second, something sharp jabbed toward him. Looking closely, he realized—
The rolling pin was in her hands now.
She thrust it at him like a sword.
Yazuki swayed left and right, dodging like a roly-poly toy.
Even though it was just a rolling pin, in her hands, it felt like she was wielding a real blade, slashing, hacking, and thrusting with sharp, decisive movements. This girl was clearly a master of swordsmanship, probably some kind of dojo genius.
"Clack, clack..."
The sound of wood striking wood echoed. Yazuki had picked up another rolling pin from the side and was using it to defend himself.
But even with a weapon in hand, he was still at a disadvantage. While his soul carried an instinctive understanding of combat, his body was just that of an ordinary person. It couldn't keep up with his commands.
"Smack!"
"Hiss—!"
His fingers, gripping the rolling pin, got struck hard. The pain made him suck in a sharp breath.
And, of course, he dropped his weapon.
His smirk turned vicious, his eyes gleaming with menace. Instead of retreating, he charged forward, taking a few hits but pushing through to close the distance!
The girl was startled by his seemingly suicidal attack, her rhythm faltering.
In the next moment, he lunged at her.
"BANG—!"
"Nguh—!"
Along with a brutal headbutt, he heard a pained whimper from her.
The two of them tumbled to the ground.
But she quickly recovered. In an instant, she grabbed both his hands and pinned them behind his back. Yazuki felt like his arms were about to be dislocated, this girl had monstrous strength!
Not only that, but her toned, elastic legs wrapped tightly around his waist like an octopus, locking him in place. At this moment, their posture was... incredibly awkward. If not for the fact that they were fighting, this position would be far too suggestive.
With this, he was completely immobilized. His face was also being smothered.
Wait, smothered by what?
No time to think! He still had his teeth—he could bite!
Chomp—!
Huh? Why did that feel like biting into pudding?
"Gyaaaah—!!"
The girl let out a miserable shriek, and Yazuki was violently flung away. A heavy kick sent him skidding across the ground.
He couldn't help but groan in pain. That kick really hurt!
Looking over, the girl's face was ashen and dark with rage. One hand was hovering over her chest, but the moment she tried to touch it, she winced sharply, sucking in a pained breath.
Her beautiful face was contorted.
Her yellow-green eyes burned with flames of fury, flames that seemed ready to incinerate him into ashes.
Uh, so where did the attack land?
"You—bast—ard—!"
Her pearly white teeth looked like they were about to be ground to dust, as if she wanted to tear him to pieces.
"Ptui, ptui ptui!"
Yazuki made a face like he had touched something dirty and even gave a look of utter disdain, making her expression turn ashen. At that moment, the string of rationality in her mind had probably snapped.
Speaking of which, was provoking her like this a good idea?
Of course not.
Yazuki was definitely going to get beaten up badly next.
So why do it?
Was it out of spite?
A masochistic tendency?
Of course not, it was because he was already preparing to make a run for it.
However, right in his escape route, a helpful bystander had led a few uniformed officers over.
"Here, over here!"
"Are you two the ones involved?"
The enforcers had arrived. After all, with how big of a commotion they made, there was no way no one would call the police.
And so, at the nearby police station—
Three individuals sat in a row: the enthusiastic citizen Yazuki, the self-proclaimed Emi Yusa, a violent woman, and the self-proclaimed Shizuno Urushibara, a seemingly noble but mentally unsound young lady.
Across from them sat a stern-faced policeman and a policewoman.
Shizuno's explanation for the incident: She found Yazuki's sneaky behavior suspicious—he looked like a pervert about to assault someone nearby. So, she preemptively attacked him to prevent a crime.
Her polite and refined response, coupled with her elegant demeanor, made the policeman find her story very credible.
Emi Yusa's explanation: She was just passing by and couldn't stand seeing someone as brutish as Yazuki, so she stood up for justice to stop him. She never expected him to be so vile as to fight back, which only proved that Shizuno was right, he really didn't seem like a good person.
Her passionate sense of justice made the policeman believe her as well.
Finally, Yazuki's response: He was just shopping normally when Shizuno, a complete lunatic (probably mentally ill), randomly attacked him. Then Emi Yusa, a brainless brute with more brawn than sense, beat him up without knowing anything. He suspected her brain also had issues and suggested she get checked at the neurology department.
Of course, Yazuki's statement earned him glares from everyone present, including the policeman and policewoman.
Clearly, they didn't find his words very convincing.
Probably because of the bruises on his face and the bandages wrapped around him, their first impression of him was that he was just some delinquent who liked to pick fights and harass girls.
Meanwhile, two good-looking young ladies naturally drew people's favor.
So, "looks equal justice," huh?
Still, they weren't about to just take the girls' word for it immediately. About ten minutes later, the security footage had been retrieved.
Yazuki was, without a doubt, the innocent victim. And then—
"Ahh, my head hurts so much!"
Suddenly, he fell to the ground, wailing in pain, startling everyone present. Did he really have to scream so dramatically? It felt fake.
"If your head hurts, why are you holding your stomach?"
"Huh? Oh—my stomach hurts too! And my head as well!"
This guy was throwing a tantrum like a child. He refused any compensation, rejected a hospital checkup, and only demanded that the two girls apologize.
Apologizing wasn't a big deal, but his request was too much—he insisted they had to call him "Onii-chan" while doing so. Truly despicable.
It wasn't that he particularly enjoyed being called that, it was purely to make things difficult for them.
As she watched his departing figure, Emi Yusa felt incredibly frustrated. This guy was truly insufferable. Her chest still ached, and he was the worst kind of person imaginable.
Meanwhile, Shizuno , who had silently observed him, recalled something. When she helped him up earlier, her skin had inadvertently touched his, and a fragment of some buried memory seemed to flash in her mind.
As for why he didn't go berserk earlier, Shizuno assumed that the moment the black mist tried to invade, it was erased by the world's surface-level sealing laws.
Oh, right—this guy had been muttering "fake, fake" nonstop on the way to the police station. It made her so mad she was grinding her teeth in frustration, wanting to freeze him into an ice block.
He actually thought the "size" she had at her age was artificially enhanced through technology.
She didn't dwell on that ridiculous claim for long, though. She had no desire to argue with him. Outwardly, she called him what he wanted, but in her mind, she just regarded him as a pig.
On the other hand, Emi Yusa was struggling with the embarrassment.
Hopefully, they wouldn't get a chance to take revenge on him. Though, ideally, they wouldn't see him again either.
