Chapter 14 - Meeting

Next Morning, Soft rays of sunlight slipped through the thin curtains, casting a golden glow over the room. The scent of lingering sweat and faint herbal incense hung in the air.

Wang Jie lay on his back, one arm draped lazily over his forehead. His breathing was steady, his chest rising and falling in a calm rhythm. His robe hung loosely off his shoulders, exposing the toned lines of his chest. A few faint red marks trailed down his neck.

Beside him, Ruyan Her eyes fluttered open slowly, her gaze hazy with sleep. She blinked, adjusting to the light then her eyes fell on Wang Jie's sleeping figure. A strange warmth bloomed in her chest. She pulled the blanket up, covering her bare chest as she sat up. Her long, dark hair cascaded down her shoulders, clinging to her flushed skin.

'I guess I passed out last night…' Her cheeks darkened 'But how come this brat became this good?'

She bit her lip, fingers tightening around the edge of the blanket 'Ah… I couldn't even cultivate'

Wang Jie stirred, his brows twitching slightly. Then his eyes cracked open, golden light flickering briefly in their depths "…you're up" he murmured, his voice rough with sleep. Ruyan's eyes widened "You had a good sleep, I guess"

Suddenly, his hand shot out and caught her wrist. His grip was firm and soft. His eyes darkened slightly "Do you… wanna go again?"

"H-Huh?" Cui Fen stammered, her face turning red

"No!"

She yanked her hand back, quickly slipping her feet onto the floor, Her legs buckled

"Huh…?"

A faint tremor ran through her calves. Her thighs twitched '… why are my legs shaking…?'

'How many times did we even do it? Four… no, five? And that… intensity…'

Ruyan's gaze flicked toward Wang Jie, who was watching her with a lazy smirk "I-I can't" she muttered

"Your third uncle is coming today Did you forget? I'm already late!"

Ignoring the burn in her legs, Ruyan pushed herself up though her steps were anything but steady. Behind her, Wang Jie chuckled softly, stretching his arms behind his head

"Sure… if you say so"

Her face burned as she hurried toward the door. Wang Jie's low laughter followed her all the way out.

"hehehe"

"But I'm still sleepy…"

Muttering to himself, Wang Jie rolled onto his side and fell asleep again.

....

After a while, Wang Jie's eyes cracked open. Sunlight poured into the room, bright and warm. He stretched lazily, his muscles flexing beneath his robes. He sat up, running a hand through his hair. His body felt… lighter, Stronger. The Qi circulating in his meridians was fuller and more refined. His breakthrough had clearly left a lasting effect.

Deciding to freshen up, he stepped toward the bathing room.

******

The cool water washed over his skin, soothing the lingering tension in his muscles. He leaned back, letting the water trail down his chest "I need work on my body its looks too normal... not much attractive"

His gaze dropped downward

"…Hmm?"

A little bro stood out, even beneath the water. Curious, Wang Jie reached down, his fingers brushing over his shaft.

".…"

He grasped it lightly, measuring the length with his fingers "Well… its size is quite good" he muttered, brow lifting "I didn't notice before"

His lips curled "No wonder she passed out last night"

...

After a brief pause, he stood, letting the water drip down his body. He stepped out of the bath, wrapping a cloth around his waist as he walked toward the mirror. His reflection stared back at him lean structure, sharp eyes with a faint golden glow still lingering beneath the surface.

"I've changed"

After last night his confidence was overflowing. Smirking to himself, Wang Jie began dressing. He slipped into a fresh set of robes, tying the sash neatly around his waist. Just as he finished adjusting his cuffs

[Knock] [knock]

....

"Come in"

The door creaked open. Ma Cheng, one of the Wang family's servants, stepped inside and bowed respectfully.

"Young Master" Ma Cheng said, his head lowered "Master Yusheng wishes to meet you in the main hall"

Wang Jie's brow lifted "Third Uncle?"

"Yes, young master"

"I'll be there you can leave"

Ma Cheng bowed again before retreating from the room. Wang Jie adjusted his robe, then made his way toward the main hall.

....

On the way, he passed through the inner courtyard, where a slender figure stood beneath the shade of a peach blossom tree.

"Senior Sister"

The figure turned. Xu Yueyin's dark hair cascaded down her back, a few loose strands framing her porcelain face. Dressed in pale blue robes embroidered with silver thread, she looked every bit the picture of elegance.

Wang Jie stopped, offering a small bow "Senior Sister Yueyin" he greeted "It's been a while"

Yueyin's cold eyes softened slightly as they met his "You seem… different" she said, tilting her head slightly

Wang Jie smirked "Really?"

Her gaze sharpened "Your Qi… it's more refined"

Wang Jie chuckled "Maybe I had a good night"

Yueyin's eyes narrowed "Hmm"

Wang Jie raised his hands in mock surrender "Fine, fine, I broke through last night"

Her brows lifted "9th stage of Qi Gathering?"

Wang Jie's smirk widened "Impressive, right?"

A small smile tugged at Yueyin's lips "Not bad… for you"

"I'll take that as a compliment" Inwardly, Wang Jie was surprised she didn't even properly react to it.

She stepped closer, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear "You should hurry The elders are waiting"

"Right"

Wang Jie offered a parting nod and continued toward the main hall.

****

The grand hall stood at the heart of the Wang manor a large chamber lined with redwood pillars and silk banners bearing the Wang family emblem. The scent of burning incense filled the air.

Seated at the head of the hall were four elders, each dressed in formal robes embroidered with the crest of the Wang family.

To the left sat Wang Jincheng, Wang Jie's fourth uncle. His sharp gaze immediately cut toward Wang Jie the moment he stepped inside. Wang Jincheng's posture was straight, his robes immaculate in every detail.

To the right sat Qingwei, Dressed in soft lavender robes, her face carried a gentle warmth. Her smile was soft as her gaze settled on Wang Jie. Beside Qingwei sat Wang Yusheng, Wang Jie's third uncle. His eyes were bright and sharp, his relaxed posture standing in stark contrast to Wang Jincheng's stiffness.

"little Jie" Wang Yusheng said, his tone casual "It's been a while"

Wang Jie stepped forward, bowing respectfully "Third Uncle"

"You look… stronger"

"Did you breakthrough"

Wang Jie's smirk deepened "Something like that"

The room fell silent. Wang Yusheng's smile froze mid-air. Wang Jincheng's sharp gaze darkened as his brows furrowed.

"What… did you say?" Wang Jincheng's tone sharpened dangerously.
