Jack rubbed his chin, eyes flicking toward Max. "Actually... I do have an idea."
Everyone turned to him.
"I've never tried it," he admitted, raising a finger. "And I don't know if it's genius or really, really dumb. But hear me out."
Max raised an eyebrow. "Really."
Jack ignored him and continued, pacing a little. "So… we usually use magical creature parts, enchanted stones, spirit cores stuff that carries mana, right? Stuff that supposedly resonates with a person."
Alina nodded cautiously. "Yes. That's standard practice."
"But," Jack said, turning around with both hands in the air like he was unveiling a masterpiece, "what if… instead of finding something that 'resonates' with you… you just use yourself?"
