"Why does she get to be Lady of the house!? Lady over me? No! I'll never call her that! She's my servant, my maid! How could she?" Han cried to her brother who was annoyed by her cries.
"I told you to marry Yi or someone else didn't I? There's no point in crying now and there's nothing I can do about it. It'll bring no honor if you dissolve the agreement. No man would want someone's old concubine!" Ian fired at her making her cry harder. She was angry at the truth as tears rushed down her eyes.
"Stop crying and go with it! You can just ask him for a house and you won't get to see her often." He advised as he watched his sister with pity.
"Aargh! I'm leaving." She screamed as she stormed out. She didn't know where she was headed and found it all unfair. If she hadn't fallen for Luo, maybe things would've gone normally and she would be Lady. In the end she headed to the wine cellar to get drunk but she missed Yi's company, even when she didn't trust him, he made her laugh but he hadn't spoken to her since they last met.
-At Yen's study
She had never seen so much gold before everyone spent silver and the lowest class spent bronze coins, only the upper-class, basically the royals and a few lords spent gold. He prepared a portable box of gold for her to go shopping with.
"Yi and I have discussed, I will send her to the Lee mansion to be an advisor since Lee is too young on his own." He paused as he peeked to see her reaction to the gold, he wondered f it was too small.
"Hmmm… she will lose her title as my concubine and be Lee's advisor instead. Renouncing her title is best for her. Ian will convince her." He added confused by Clea's silence. She was just shocked.
"Do you want more?" He asked lifting her face up to look at him.
"No..Lo..Yen." She replied shyly looking away after recalling their night together.
"Thank you for all this." She added smiling as she wrapped her hands around him. He felt warm and enjoyed her embrace, he liked it.
"Anything for you my Lady." He replied leaning to kiss her as she dodged playfully.
-At Lord Lee's mansion, at the silk factory
"She'll warm up to you." Lee consoled his brother, Yi who was staring at Han from a corner. She was invested in managing Lee's silk factory. He made expensive silk and she had exquisite taste, they worked well together.
"It's been three months now, she barely had time for me. All she does is work." Yi replied sighing as he admired her. He didn't know when she walked up to him; he was daydreaming about getting married to her.
"What brings you by Lord Lee? Young master Yi, I told you to stop coming her-" She said as Lee broke in.
"He's not here to see you, I gave him a house to congratulate him for his appointment as one of the royal advisors. He did really well in the exams." Lee explained making Han feel embarrassed. Then he left them to talk.
"Congratulations on your appointment, I'm sorry I misunderstood." Han apologized, bowing. She was embarrassed she misunderstood him since she was used to him waiting for her.
"I did it for you, to be worthy of you." Yi said looking down, he was getting tired but he still loved her. She slowly reached out to hold his hand.
-At Lord Gu's house
She was on her way back from an outing with some friends then she saw him, a tall and handsome strange man who looked familiar. She tried recalling where she had seen him and decided to approach him. He looked rich, dressed in expensive clothes and she saw him befitting.
"Who are you?" Lei asked the strange looking man.
"I'm Tai, a royal attendant. I'm here to see Lady Len." He replied making Lei jealous he wanted to see Clea but also helping her remember where she had seen him, at the palace when she went to pick the princess.
"Tai." She called, wondering why his name was strange.
