Amelia entered the University, ready to continue her day after returning from the joint council, hoping for no drama. Still, all her wishes came crashing down when Alpha Killian stopped her dead in her tracks.
"Are you okay?"
The question from him was unexpected.
After all, he was the same man who always thought she didn't need care because she was thick-skinned.
He pressed his lips into a thin line when she didn't respond.

"I heard about the fire incident. When you didn't appear in the morning, I called Hannah, and she said the Joint Council has summoned you because they suspect you did it," Killian said.
He also heard how Amelia reacted to all the accusations and even said she was sleeping with that monster to prove her innocence.
He knew the girl loved him a lot and would never do anything like that, but the thought that he was losing his hold on her clenched his heart painfully. He didn't like it.
