Chapter 52 - Monstrous Teenagers

Chapter 51

The small city of Aurora was filled with bandits—everywhere one looked, there were criminals walking the streets. Thieves, killers, and rogues of all kinds thrived here, protected by the powerful leaders of the Aurora Bandits.

At the entrance to the city, a grizzled bandit guard leaned against the wooden gate, eyeing the group of teenagers approaching. His lips curled into a smug grin as he lazily extended his hand.

"ID cards," he demanded.

Kaito stepped forward, raising his fist. "If I give it to you, will you take it?"

The guard frowned, confused. "Uh... yeah?"

WHAM!

The next second, Kaito's fist crashed into his face, sending him soaring through the air, smashing through the wooden gate like a human cannonball.

"WELL, HE TOOK IT," Kaito announced proudly.

The rest of the group facepalmed.

The loud crash caught the attention of the bandits inside. Soon, dozens of armed men turned toward the entrance, eyes narrowing at the group of teenagers standing confidently before them.

Stepping forward like he owned the place, Kaito struck a pose.

"From today onward, the Aurora Bandits will cease to exist!" he declared, dramatically pointing at the stunned criminals. "Why? Because you idiots annoyed me!"

For a moment, there was silence.

Then—laughter.

The bandits roared with laughter, clutching their sides.

"This kid is DELUSIONAL!" one of them howled.

"They think they can take us all on?!" another snorted.

That was when Lucas moved.

A blur of pure ferocity, he vanished from sight, appearing in the middle of the nearest group of bandits.

SHRED!

With a savage swipe, his claws tore through flesh and bone, severing arms and legs in an instant.

More blood sprayed as Lucas tore through them, moving like a wild beast.

The laughter stopped.

Screams replaced it.

The bandits realized—too late—that they weren't dealing with ordinary opponents.

With Lucas carving through their ranks, Blaze and the rest joined the fight.

Blaze's fists crackled with fire and lightning, sending bandits flying with each strike. Every time he took someone down, he felt his strength growing, his EXP skyrocketing.

Volt, standing near the gate, calmly drew his sword as a group of desperate bandits tried to flee.

"There's only one kid. We can take him." one of them said looking at volt .

Volt said nothing.

They charged forward—and the next second, they were on the ground, screaming.

Their limbs—severed.

The bandits stared in horror at their own arms and legs lying on the ground.

Volt flicked his sword, yellow lightning crackling around him.

"I hate doing this," he muttered. "But you guys aren't good people either."

Seeing Lucas and Blaze causing mayhem, some bandits turned their attention to the 'weaker' ones—Akira and Nephis.

Big mistake.

Akira, riding atop Nephis massive white tiger, raised her hands. A torrent of water surged around her, forming into razor-sharp water blades coupled with the white tiger wind attack.

SLASH!

Dozens of bandits were torn apart, their weapons shattered by the sheer force of the water/wind blades.

Meanwhile, Nephis stepped forward, her aura shifting.

Air, water, and fire danced around her.

She lifted her hand and summon tornado if flames with that of water.

A scorching tidal wave surged forward, engulfing the enemy in burning steam.

Screams echoed as bandits were boiled alive, their weapons melting in their hands.

"These Kids Are Monsters!"

Everywhere they looked, bandits were being obliterated.

One of them, watching Lucas rip through his allies, turned to flee—only to run straight into Blaze.

With a grin, Blaze grabbed his face—AND SLAMMED HIM INTO THE GROUND.

Another bandit, watching Akira coordinate attacks with her tiger, tried running in the opposite direction—only to see Blaze smiling while crushing another opponent.

Then, they spotted Volt standing by the gate, covered in lightning, and they froze.

"We are SO SCREWED."

In desperation, they made a run for the city exit.

But standing there, blocking the way, was a short-haired boy with yellow eyes.

Volt.

One of the bandits swallowed. "I think… I think we can take this one."

The next second—

HUM. HUM. HUM.

A flash of yellow lightning.

All his limbs—severed.

Volt barely even looked at him. "You're in my way."

The remaining four screamed in terror and charged at him.

Volt sighed. "First Lightning Art: Lightning Flash."

A bright arc of lightning cut through them, and they collapsed instantly.

The battle ended with every single bandit either dead, unconscious, or mutilated.

Blaze stood in the middle of it all, grinning.

His EXP skyrocketed—and with one final notification, he leveled up again.

5th Stage of Alkan Phase.

"This is crazy…" he muttered, looking at his hands. "This speed of leveling up is practically cheating."

Nearby, Akira panted, injured but still standing.

Kaito, wiping blood off his face, smirked. "Easy peasy."

That was when a booming voice shattered the moment.

"WHO DARES ATTACK OUR CITY?!"

The group looked up.

Standing on the largest mansion's balcony were four figures.

A bald, shirtless man with black trousers. His sheer muscles radiated raw power with a red gauntlet on his hands.

A hunched-over man with his tongue hanging out, resembling an imbecile.

A young man with black hair, arrogance in his eyes, a massive green scythe on his back.

And the fourth... was the same merchant who had betrayed the townspeople.

Blaze cracked his knuckles, his fire surging higher.

Kaito pointed at the hunched man. "Is it just me, or does that dude look like he licks doorknobs for fun?"

The blue-haired leader smirked. "You brats should've run while you had the chance."

The bald leader cracked his knuckles. "Now you'll die."

The Aurora bandit leader has arrived.
