After settling the training plans for the three children and sending them off to find their own houses, Uchiha Madara quickly summoned two shinobi to arrange suitable accommodations and furnish the homes for the trio. He then called upon the finance department to ensure their weekly allowances would be distributed on time. Finally, he assigned a White Zetsu clone to supervise their daily activities, thus completing his arrangements.

With that out of the way, Madara turned his attention to the backlog of work left behind by his wooden clone during its absence. As the leader of Uchiha Village, there were piles of important documents that needed his approval, all neglected over the past few days.

With no other choice, Madara buried himself in the mountain of paperwork, diligently working through it. Thankfully, most of the village's affairs were minor matters. The infrastructure was already well-established, and the talent recruitment program was proceeding smoothly, with Uchiha Village growing stronger every day. For now, all Madara had to do was wait for the results of these efforts to bear fruit.

About four or five days passed in this manner. Unable to remain idle for long, Madara grew restless once more. His thoughts drifted back to Konoha—there were still unresolved scores to settle.

That evening, Madara relaxed at home. Recently, he had constructed a grand estate in the serene southern part of Uchiha Village, surrounded by beautiful gardens and staffed with charming young women who served as attendants. During his free time, he indulged in the comforts of this luxurious lifestyle.

However, on this particular night, as Madara sat in his courtyard illuminated by soft lamplight, gazing at the picturesque scene of bridges and streams before him, his mind was far from peaceful. His fingers tapped rhythmically on the armrest of his chair, signaling for someone to appear.

As if summoned by magic, a White Zetsu emerged from beneath the ground and stood beside Madara.

"Madara-sama, what are your orders?"

"How is Konoha faring?"

"Madara-sama, after Sakumo Hatake and his group witnessed your overwhelming power in Wind Country, they fled back to Konoha in disgrace. They reported everything to Hiruzen Sarutobi, who has been on edge ever since. The entire village is tense, like a deer caught in headlights."

"Hmm… And what about the elders of Konoha? Especially Danzo Shimura, that troublemaker?"

"The elders, Muuta Homura and Koharu Utatane, are nothing but spineless opportunists, holding positions without contributing much. However, Danzo Shimura has been under immense pressure from Hiruzen Sarutobi recently. On top of that, his Root organization was completely annihilated within our borders. He likely suspects you personally intervened. Though he appears calm on the surface, deep down, he's panicking, fearing retaliation against Konoha!"

"Oh? True to form for such a schemer. What about the other major clans in Konoha?"

"Other than the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, who have fully aligned themselves with Sarutobi, the other clans—especially the Uchiha and Hyuga—harbor doubts about their loyalty to Konoha."

Listening to White Zetsu's report, Madara could easily picture the fragile state of Konoha—a façade of unity masking internal discord.

Sensing an opportunity, White Zetsu leaned closer, eager to stir up trouble. "Madara-sama, isn't it time we taught Konoha a lesson? You've defeated the Third Tsuchikage and killed the Third Kazekage. Surely, the Third Hokage shouldn't escape unscathed!"

"Konoha isn't like other villages—it won't be so easy. Besides, I have other plans for Konoha. Speaking of which, how is Mito Uzumaki? Is Kurama behaving itself inside her?"

"Madara-sama, Mito Uzumaki rarely leaves her residence these days. She's aged significantly and her health has deteriorated. The Nine-Tails sealed within her has become restless, showing signs of breaking free!"

Madara let out a derisive chuckle. "That wretched beast has been suppressed by Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki for far too long. It must be seething with hatred. If released now, interesting things are bound to happen!"

At Madara's words, White Zetsu's eyes lit up with realization. "I see! Madara-sama, you plan to use borrowed knives to strike!"

Madara shook his head. "Kurama hates me just as much as it does Hashirama. After all, I once controlled it entirely with my Sharingan. It won't obey me willingly. But Mito Uzumaki and Kurama can serve as a useful entry point."

Rising from his seat, Madara gazed into the distance. "All those from my generation are long gone, save for Mito Uzumaki, clinging to life by a thread. I'd quite like to reminisce with her one last time…"

White Zetsu was thrilled. "Madara-sama, are you finally planning to deal with Konoha?"

"Precisely. First, I'll meet Mito Uzumaki for what will surely be our final encounter—and send her off. Second, I'll settle old and new accounts with Konoha. Lastly, I'll reclaim everything I desire from them. Prepare tonight—we move out tomorrow!"

"Understood, Madara-sama!" With mischief gleaming in his eyes, White Zetsu sank back into the ground, ready to carry out Madara's orders.

Madara left the garden and returned to his room. He needed to prepare himself—not just physically, but mentally—for a decisive confrontation with Konoha.

Under the care of his attendants, he trimmed his long hair, opting for a shorter, sleek style that exuded maturity. He discarded his traditional black wide-sleeved robe, replacing it with a streamlined black coat adorned with subtle flame patterns, paired with matching pants and boots. Gone was the appearance of a man in his fifties; instead, he looked youthful, closer to his thirties.

This change in appearance symbolized something deeper—the old Uchiha Madara was gone forever. As he prepared to settle his final score with Konoha, he embraced a new persona, ready to sever all ties with his past.
