Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Transmigration. That is a concept that I thought was impossible. However, I am proven wrong when I arrive in the middle of a forest after I sleep on my bed.

You know what makes matters worse? I know what kind of world this is and the reason why I am here. This is Skyrim, the fifth game from the Elder Scroll Series.

As for the reason… I don't really know. However, I know that I fill an Interactive CYOA before going to bed, and the next thing I know, I appear in this world. At least I managed to create a build that has infinite potential and good starting power.

The only thing that I regret is not going full ham and building an OP character because I chose Sandbox mode.

Oh well, there is nothing I can do. For now, I need to see where I am and which timeline I appear in. However, before I do that, I need to check if my power truly appears alongside me.

"Status."

After I say that, I see a purple panel appear in front of me.

[Name: Mattias Rehn]

[Title: None]

[Level: 1]

==

[HP: 100 / 100]

[MP: 100 / 100]

==

[STR: 10]

[VIT: 10]

[DEX: 10]

[INT: 10]

[WIS: 10]

[LCK: 10]

I smile a little when I see the status window in front of me. Good. One of them is as it is supposed to be.

"Skill"

[Gamer's Body] [Passive] [Level: MAX]

[Gamer's Body makes it so that you have the body of a video game character.]

{Effect}

1.) Your body will return to its peak when you are asleep for at least six hours. That means any negative effects will be gone. Negative conditions like loss of limbs, illnesses, or paralysis are also healed when you sleep for six hours and are treated as status effects.

2.) Your body is like a character from a video game. That means you can use any spells you learn. Any affinity and element that is opposite of each other will not clash when you cast them simultaneously. There is no magic you cannot learn.

3.) You are like a game character. You will always keep your humanity. No matter how long you live or what you see, you will still remain yourself. You can still experience personal growth and won't ever become something monstrous you wouldn't want to be.

4.) You are special among the gamers. You are immune to body control, polymorphism, and transformation effects. Your body is yours alone and cannot be taken from you without your knowledge and consent.

5.) You are an anomaly, for you are a Gamer. Your powers, abilities, and magics cannot be removed, restrained, restricted, or copied. Keeping this secret will provide a powerful trump card should you ever be captured and chained with anti-magic cuffs.

6.) You are a special kind of gamer. You do not have any cap on your power. That means you can keep increasing your level no matter how massive the requirement to increase them. The same with your stats.

7.) You are a gamer. Other worlds may have other systems of power beyond just the physical and the arcane. Luckily, your soul is flexible and capable of adapting to these systems. Going to another world does not lock you out of learning their generic techniques or abilities, and you may eventually mimic unique expressions with time and effort.

I read through the wall of text and smiled a little. Some of the perks I choose combined into this skill, huh? I don't mind it as long as the perks are still there. I look at the second skill and read it.

[Gamer's Mind] [Passive] [Level: MAX]

[Gamer's Mind grants you the mentality of someone playing a video game.]

{Effect}

1.) You have the mind of a Gamer. It grants you the mentality of someone playing a video game. Whether it be drugs, mind control, mental illnesses, or anything that could affect you mentally, you will find yourself totally immune to it. Nothing can break through this immunity; because of it, you are also immune to boredom & mental exhaustion.

2.) You are a gamer. That means your will is unbreakable. No matter how tough or dire the straights get, you will keep marching forward. Unflinching and unyielding.

3.) You are a gamer. That means you are immune to prophecy and precognition. Additionally, you can disrupt the fate of others should you directly interfere. The only fate is the one that you make.

It is not as long as the first one but just as important. The combination of the two already makes me a unique person in this world. However, those are not the only ones. I look at the rest of the skills before going to the perks.

[Void Walker] [Active] [Level: 1/100]

{Your own outerversal nature has granted you the ability to travel through the planes. You can return to realms you've been to before, but entering new ones will be almost entirely random. With enough practice, you can select a world you want to visit from memory.}

Cost: 1000 MP

Cooldown: 7 Days

With this power, I can visit a new world or even return to Earth, but it will take a long time because of the randomness. It will take a long time to return home because I need to increase my skill level.

I shake my head and look at the other one.

[Master of Light] [Passive] [Level: MAX]

{Grant you the ability to use Light-based magic. You can create the spells you want using your imagination based on Light-based magic. You can use it to attack, purify, or heal. The MP cost depends on how strong the magic is.}

This is my main way of attacking, buffing, and healing. It is versatile and something I need if I want to survive in Skyrim or any world I visit in the future.

[Observe] [Active] [Level: 1/100]

{A unique skill that grants you basic information about what or whoever you target with it. The more you use it, the more information you'll find yourself uncovering when you use it.}

Cost: 5 MP

Cooldown: Instant

A great thing for me is to gather the information I want. It is a simple but very useful skill to have.

[Battle Zen] [Passive] [Level: MAX]

{Your mana regeneration will not disturbed by combat or any activity you are doing. They will continue to regenerate. Not only that, this skill will boost your mana regeneration by 100%}

This one is great and a game-changer. The formula for mana regeneration is (WIS x 0.5), and with my current WIS (10), I only get 5 MP per minute. However, with [Battle Zen], I can get 10 MP per minute, which will keep growing.

I nod, and I look at my perks.

[Chain Casting]

{Once you cast a spell, you can cast that spell again and again without waiting for a cooldown. However, each time you cast them, the MP cost doubles up.}

This one is great. However, I need to be careful because of the MP consumption. If I am not careful, I can fall unconscious from mana exhaustion.

[Multicasting]

{You can cast up to seven different spells at once.}

It's a simple but powerful perk. I can bombard my enemies with spells with this and the previous perk. I smile and look at the last perk.

[Ascended Prodigy]

{You are a prodigy among prodigies. You are the one in a Billion Years type of prodigy.}

Effect: 800% Boost in all Magic, Martial, and Crafting-based activity.

And the last thing that ties them together. The thing that will make me level up those skills easier.

However, that is not the only thing I choose from the CYOA. I also pick items that will help me in this world. I look at the ring in my left hand and use [Observe] on it.

[Ring of Infinite Space]

{A ring with a near infinite amount of space inside, weighs next to nothing, can hold items around the size of a car, and keeps items in stasis.}

This is my Inventory because the system does not grant me one. Inside the ring, there are a lot more items. Among them are tents, sleeping bags, firestarters, and a small hammer/handaxe. Also, there are foods that are enough for twenty people for three days or a month for one person. There are also First Aid kits that can be found in modern-day ambulances. Something that I can use in an emergency scenario.

However, I know a few items will be useful for me immediately. I take out the first one.

[Silver Compass]

{It might look like a simple compass, but it is not. It is an enchanted compass that can point to nearby points of interest, the nearest settlement or north.}

This compass will make sure I do not get lost in this world.

[Bottomless Flask]

{A flask that will always be full when held upright. You can't flood the world by leaving it upside down. A flask that can swap between any liquid that's been fed to it based on the will of the drinker. It can even produce potions, no matter how rare it is.}

It's a very powerful item. Fill this with powerful healing potions, and I will have infinite healing potions. I can sell them or use them. I wonder if I can fill it with Elixir from Final Fantasy World. That thing is precious. It would be better if I could get the older version of Elixir.

Sadly, I need to level up and increase my MP first. This is more reason to raise my WIS stats.

[Pocket Resting Place]

{A ring that can open a portal to a demiplane containing a few acres of land and a mansion. The portal can be closed while inside to stop most intruders from entering. Beware that higher beings can notice the opening and closing of space. They cannot force their way inside, but they will notice the location of you when you open the portal.}

I hum a little at that because the last part makes me hesitate to take this. The only reason why I take this item in the CYOA is because the mansion is full of modern things like electricity, showers, and other things.

[Quick Grow Garden]

{Large planter boxes (10) that will accelerate the growth of anything planted inside. The fast growth effect will affect animals that feed on plants grown in the boxes. It comes with an enchanted scarecrow that will tend to any nearby plants and animals, ensuring a good harvest.}

This is the second reason why I take the Pocket Dimension. It is perfect for me to plant all the magic plants I encounter.

[Magus of Flower's Staff]

{A staff made by the legendary Magus of Flower. This staff will give you a few boons. A perfect tool for any mage}

Effect: 25% potency to any spell cast and 50% boost to Mana Regeneration

The staff's name is a bit suspicious, but the effect is great. I then look at the last item.

[Skeleton Key]

{An enchanted key that'll open almost any door regardless of locking method, any magical lock, or magical ward/barrier. Only the most complex lock or highest-ranking magical lock can block this key.}

A simple but powerful item. If I want to play as a rogue or complete the Thieves Guild questline, this item will be my great friend.

I shake my head and put all the goods inside my ring except the magic staff and the compass.

I do not need to worry about losing them because they are tied to my soul. That means it cannot be stolen, and the protection will punish anyone who tries to take or use it without my consent.

I leave the forest with a hum and follow where the compass points. I need to go to the nearby settlement. I can test my power later.
