Chapter 56 - Chapter 54

The war between the Kree Empire and Lin Fan's forces had reached a critical turning point. Across the planet Obsidian, a crucial stronghold for the Kree, the skies were filled with the shimmering glow of psionic energy. The eerie luminescence bathed the war-torn land as Lin Fan's psionic clones descended, their presence bending reality itself with their overwhelming mental force.

The Kree Imperial Command scrambled as reports flooded in. The entire planetary defense network was in chaos, struggling against an unprecedented assault. The clones, though not physically invulnerable, wielded psionic constructs of immense power—colossal weapons and barriers of pure mental energy that carved through entire platoons of Kree warriors.

The Kree warriors, divided into ranks based on their strength, fought fiercely. The elite first-level warriors, boasting power capable of shifting landscapes, led the charge. But even they faltered against the sheer unpredictability of Lin Fan's clones. Every attack launched at the clones was met with countermeasures beyond comprehension. Swords of psionic energy shattered energy bolts mid-flight, towering barriers materialized out of thin air to block artillery fire, and mind-shattering waves sent entire battalions into convulsions before they could even react.

Inside the command center of the Kree warship orbiting Obsidian, Supreme Commander Draxil stood grim-faced. He had never seen anything like this before. "Report!" he barked, his voice cutting through the panicked chatter.

A lieutenant hurriedly responded. "Commander, the enemy's forces… they aren't conventional. Our scans show no biological signatures. These—these things aren't alive!"

Draxil's jaw tightened. "Then what in the name of Hala are we fighting?"

Before the officer could respond, a new transmission overrode their communications. A deep, commanding voice filled the command center. "Kree Empire," Lin Fan's voice resonated through every channel, cold and unwavering. "This war was never yours to win. Surrender Obsidian now, or be buried under the weight of your own failures."

A moment of silence passed. Then, Draxil slammed his fist onto the console. "No surrender! I want every available warship to focus fire on the strongest of those things! Take them down!"

The order was given, and within seconds, the skies of Obsidian erupted with energy blasts. Dozens of Kree warships released a synchronized barrage, lighting up the atmosphere with deadly precision. The psionic clones, however, reacted in perfect unison, forming massive constructs to absorb the brunt of the assault. Gigantic shields of pure thought clashed against the technological might of the Kree, shaking the heavens themselves.

But Lin Fan was not done.

From his warship in orbit, he observed the battle, his eyes narrowed. He raised a hand, and suddenly, the clones began a new assault—one that would cripple the Kree beyond measure. They formed colossal constructs, each resembling eldritch beings of psionic wrath, and sent them forth. These massive figures towered over the battlefield, sweeping entire Kree squadrons aside with single, devastating blows. Kree warships found themselves being torn apart mid-air by unseen forces as their pilots screamed in terror.

Just as it seemed like the Kree were on the verge of collapse, a golden streak shot through the carnage, tearing a path straight toward the battlefield. A sonic boom echoed as a figure crashed into the ground, leaving a smoldering crater in her wake. As the dust settled, the Kree forces erupted in cheers.

Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel, had arrived.

Her glowing eyes surveyed the destruction before her. She clenched her fists, feeling the raw power surging within her as she gazed at the approaching psionic constructs. Without hesitation, she launched herself forward, her energy-infused strikes tearing through the clones like a blazing comet. Each impact sent shockwaves across the battlefield, momentarily pushing back Lin Fan's forces.

In space, aboard his command vessel, Lin Fan watched the display of power with mild amusement. "So, the Kree still have some fight left in them," he murmured. "Interesting."

He turned to his subordinates. "Have the clones redirect their efforts. Focus on disabling their main power grid and planetary defenses. Let the Kree witness true inevitability."

The battle raged on, but the tide had already been set in motion. Obsidian was on the verge of collapse, and with it, another pillar of the Kree Empire would soon fall.
