I woke up in the exact spot where the ground had previously caved in. My head hurt, my body was sore and if felt like I hadn't eaten in awhile. I stood up dizzily, looking around, all my stuff was scattered about.I grabbed it all. When I put everything in my bag I realized my phone was shattered, the screen couldn't be saved. I sighed, deciding to head back into town to see if I could get it fixed. As I walked I looked towards the sky, gloomy? When I had fallen it was just a sunny day now it looked and smelled as if it was going to rain. I ignored that thinking the weather changed over the time I had been trapped. When I got back into town all seemed normal. I walked past a lot of shops and tourist attractions to find the phone store, not even glancing over my shoulder at the looks I was getting. I was used to it. I never saw those posters.....
as I got to the phone store I pulled out some cash from my part time job and asked the teller how much could I give them to see if they could fix the phone. The price was surprisingly cheap for some reason. Like I was getting a discount for no reason. I decided not to look too deeply into it though. I sat down in the waiting room, waiting for almost an hour before my name was called at the counter. I stood up and surprisingly, it was fixed like brand new. The clerk said they had even given me much needed upgrades to the phone for free. That small gesture did make a great attitude emerge from me. I walked out of that phone store with my now fixed phone stuffed in my satchel. I hadn't even bothered to check the time, I was just going to go home and crash anyway so I didn't think it mattered. As I walked the back roads towards my house the enthusiastic yell of a familiar healer fairy split the air. I stepped aside as yuri basically flew past me before screeching to a halt. Once I got a good look at her face I noticed.....she was....crying? I didn't even have the chance to ask her what happened before she jumped up and hugged me tightly, Tex walked up to us too, on the phone with who I presumed to be Hugo.
Kumiko: what's goi- cut off again by the overly enthusiastic healer fairy....
Yuri: KUMI OH MY GOD I THOUGHT ID NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN WHERE WERE YOU THIS WHOLE TIME she cried to me, hugging me so tight i thought id lose circulation
Kumiko: what the hell are you talking about?
Tex: what? You expect to go missing for almost a week without warning and expect us not to act worried?
Kumiko: hold on-
Yuri: WAAAA I THOUGHT ID LOST YOU
kumiko: what do you mean almost a week!? I was gone not even a day!?
Tex: what are you talking about?
I grabbed my phone out of my satchel and opened it. Sure enough, right there on the home page, the date....April 28.....
Kumiko: what's going on!? I've only been gone one night!? How did five days pass!?
Tex: Hugo is coming to meet up with us soon, I expect you to tell us where you went for so long? We thought you were in serious trouble
Kumiko: I.....I don't even know? I thought I was only gone maximum of like five hours?
Yuri: still clutching onto me your kidding?
Kumiko: not at all ...I....I've been through a lot.....I just want to go home....I'm sore all over and I feel like I'm going to pass out
Tex: oh so your running?
Kumiko: what?
Tex: smiling so your running?
Kumiko: I heard you the first time? What are you talking about?
Tex: since Yuri hasnt mentioned it, I will, how'd your level increase huh? And you have a mana presence, it's small but it's there
Yuri: yeah? You should have stayed at level one your whole life since you don't have a animal? How are you at level 2 now?
Kumiko: wait what? I logged into my state counter and sure enough.....I was a level 2 now i-i didnt-...how the hell did that happen!?
Tex: you don't know?
Kumiko: no!? I didn't even feel a increase in any kind of ability!?
Yuri: hm, that certainly is odd, if you don't remember anything of the past five days, then where do you think you were like 3 hours ago?
Kumiko: a....well I kind of stumbled into a dungeon and got myself trapped....but then I woke up on the ground where I had fallen with my stuff scattered about
Tex: weird? There aren't supposed to be any unknown dungeon entrances?
Yuri: yeah doesn't the government document every single one? How'd you manage to just fall into one?
Kumiko: I don't know honestly....I just want to go home
Tex: then we're going with you
Kumiko: seriously..?
Yuri: yup, there's no possible way you can go missing again if we walk you home right?
Tex: looking at his phone Hugo is going to meet up with us there since he is in town on his break, let's go
Kumiko: you can't just-
Tex & Yuri: yes we can
Despite my protests I was basically dragged back to my own house. They were talking to each other and me like I had never left so that was good. I still hadn't known how long I was truly trapped in whatever that was. When we got to my house I unlocked the door as Hugo waved, walking up to us. I knew there we no chance I could get these idiots to leave so I just walked into my house as they followed. I got in there and it was still clean as I left it. Despite the kitchen. I glanced back at them and sat on the couch as they all sat around me. For the next hour and a half I was basically forced to play games with them until they all finally decided to leave. I locked my door and basically stumbled upon the stairs and took my room. I set my satchel down on the bedside table, not caring it was not open. As soon as my head hit that pillow I passed out. Not realizing there was a faint green glow coming from my bag....landing on my face.....
