It's so cold, that bathtub, the ice melting on my skin. The bodies around me, the blood, so much blood. That bearded man with his golden rings, cackling as he told me how he was going to harvest me.
The rusty, dull scalpel that the shaky-handed doctor wielded.
And that stuffed bunny with its button eyes; once white, it became a part of me, dyed red with my being.
Their hands tearing and feeling out my organs as I cried out to the very parents that abandoned me.
No one was there for me as I watched my intestines slide out of my body.
I hugged that bunny, I hugged it so tightly with nothing but pain and love in my small, shaky hands.
It was all I had.
Lurching out of bed, I shout.
"Mom?! Dad?!"
Gasping for air, my eyes dart around the room.
My breathing stabilizes as I take in the familiar surroundings of my apartment.
I turn to Toko who...
Where is she?
My eyes narrow as I get up from the bed. The room is pitch black as the shades are down, causing me to fumble for the bat beside the nightstand. I cautiously step towards the door.
A crash sounds as the windows are broken.
"F.I.N.A! HANDS IN THE AIR!"
A squad of Rampagers now surrounds me.
My eyes widen before they narrow once more. "Where the hell did you take Toko?!"
"HANDS! PUT THEM IN THE AIR! WE WILL SHOOT!"
One of the officers steps towards me.
The metallic plate on my chest starts to glow white, causing my body to feel cold.
Swinging the bat at the officer, his body freezes before exploding.
Turning to the next, I snag the gun on the nightstand. Jumping back, I fire, and the officer's head explodes into an icy mess.
The other three tackle me to the ground as I feel a needle driven into my neck.
My squirming is futile as the world around me goes blurry. Despite my resistance, my body seems to have already surrendered.
I'm content, this was a cool way to die, sorry Toko, it looks like you'll have to find someone else to help you with that resume.
