Chapter 23 - Forking out More from Samui

Only the companions in the secret room knew about Atsui's arrival, the companions on duty outside were still unaware.

They weren't on guard when they saw Kiyoshi because Samui had ordered them to stay calm.

In the end, her younger brother, who was originally intended to be quietly sent to Ninja school, was discovered by Kiyoshi.

"...Alright, come with me."

Samui placed the rag on the table and headed towards the second floor.

Kiyoshi immediately got up and followed.

"Sister?"

Atsui, who was about the same age as Kiyoshi, scratched his head.

What was she going up to do?

Atsui didn't see the face of the child in front of his sister, he just assumed it was a guest.

He put the matter behind him, picked up the rag Samui had left behind, and stood on tiptoe to wipe the greasy dirt on the table.

...

When Samui pushed open the door on the second floor, her fingers slightly trembled.

But she quickly concealed her emotions and stepped aside to let Kiyoshi go first.

The second floor had a small room, a break area for employees.

It was small and simple, with a low table and several cushions placed in the corner by the window.

The light from the window shone in, adding a hazy warmth to the room.

But such warmth did nothing to dispel the chill on Samui's body.

Kiyoshi casually sat on the chair, his slender fingers tapping lightly on the table.

His gaze turned to Samui and he said, "Now that we're up here, let's not waste time. Give me a swordsmanship technique that suits me, something that looks simple and unadorned. If it's not suitable, I'll come again next time."

Kiyoshi made a blatant request, intending to squeeze every last bit of benefit.

If he could get something good, he would naturally try to get his hands on it.

There were powerful Lightning Release ninjutsu.

However, they all required a lot of chakra and were not suitable for displaying outside.

If he uses them, others will immediately get suspicious of where he had learned the ninjutsu.

In contrast, swordsmanship is more suitable.

With some inconspicuous moves, it would be difficult to distinguish them from basic swordsmanship.

"Okay."

Samui nodded.

The ninjutsu she gives to Kiyoshi will definitely be paid for with public funds.

She told Kiyoshi to wait for a while, and soon brought a scroll.

Besides Lightning Release, Kumogakure was also known for their swordsmanship.

In the ninja world, swords and blades are inseparable. In fact, a sword is actually just a blade.

Killer Bee could simultaneously control seven thin swords, almost breaking Sasuke's defense, forcing him to use his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Kiyoshi took the scroll, but his gaze didn't immediately fall on it. Instead, it swept straight to Samui's face.

His gaze slid down from her delicate features, stopping at her fair, slender neck and the exaggerated curves of her bosom.

Samui felt his gaze. Her face remained calm, but the coldness in her eyes grew even more intense.

She was very familiar with Kiyoshi's gaze.

She was able to infiltrate and act as a spy, so she had naturally seen many different people.

That gaze was...

Her golden short hair swayed, and Samui's enormous bosom gently trembled.

Kiyoshi's gaze lingered on her face for a moment, then shifted to the hem of her skirt.

His eyes swept over her slender legs, and a hint of interest appeared in his calm eyes.

If Samui, who seems indifferent and desireless, is forced to do something she doesn't want to do, what kind of expression will she make?

"Samui-san."

Kiyoshi suddenly smiled, his tone unhurried.

"Your younger brother is still young and has a bright future. It would be a pity if something happened to him, wouldn't it?"

Samui's face was still cold and indifferent, but the fluctuations in her eyes were difficult to completely conceal.

Even the calm Samui couldn't hold it together when it came to her only younger brother.

"Don't be nervous. I just hope Samui-san will be a little more sincere." Kiyoshi added.

The air seemed to freeze. The sunlight quietly shone on the low table, but it couldn't dispel the stuffiness that permeated the room.

Samui froze for a moment, then slowly lowered her eyes, her fingers unconsciously gripping the hem of her skirt.

If she refused Kiyoshi, he might go to Samudo.

Even worse, he might directly report this to the base.

Then they, as spies, won't be able to escape under the eyes of Konoha.

What can she do?

Even if she goes to talk to Samodo, Samodo probably won't care about it.

It was her own fault for speaking out of turn.

Samui felt like she was being pricked with needles where Kiyoshi's gaze was focused.

Her fingers slowly tightened, then loosened little by little, finally lifting a small section of her skirt.

She didn't speak. The coldness on her face concealed all her emotions.

Her fair, slender legs were exposed in the sunlight, her pretty face carrying a slight chill.

Kiyoshi's smile grew brighter.

His left eye changed from a black pupil to scarlet, and a black tomoe emerged.

A One-Tomoe Sharingan!

And his right eye, which had not reacted at all, now also had a scarlet tinge, as if it was about to undergo some change.

A special chakra began to generate in his brain, flowing to Kiyoshi's right eye.

Kiyoshi vaguely felt that there was still a final barrier left before his right eye could fully awaken.

Kumogakure wants his body, and the Uchiha wants his loyalty.

And he was caught in this pressure, as well as the imminent outbreak of the Great Ninja War.

And the anger he had accumulated today from Hazuki's actions was now being vented to some extent.

In the midst of boring training, he has to take time to combine work with rest.

Kiyoshi said, "Not bad, I am very satisfied with this sincerity. My desire to return to Kumogakure has increased somewhat, but..."

When he was halfway through his sentence, Kiyoshi straightened up, and his shorter figure stopped Samui's movement.

It looked a bit absurd.

"Let's stop here for today. I hope Samui-san will pay attention to her words in the future."

Kiyoshi casually stuffed the scroll into his arms and got up to leave.

If he does anything more, he might be beaten.

It's not good to put too much pressure on Samui right now.

Kiyoshi still has to ask her for more ninjutsu later.

Going this far is enough. If he goes too far, his actions will backfire and it will be bad instead.

Samui looked to be only fifteen years old right now.

Samodo, on the other hand, looked to be over thirty years old and was not easy to deal with.

The door was gently closed, and the soft sound of the wood panel against the door frame seemed particularly jarring in the quiet room.

Samui stood there, her shoulders trembling slightly.

After a long while, her hand finally released the hem of her skirt, and her body leaned weakly against the cabinet.

A hint of forbearance appeared on her always cold and beautiful face.

"Anyway... nothing was seen."

She sighed deeply, extremely annoyed.

If only she hadn't said that sentence and Kiyoshi hadn't pinned a label on her head.

That way, Kiyoshi might have targeted someone else instead of her.

About two minutes later

Light footsteps came from outside the door, and Atsui's voice sounded.

"Sister?"

Samui immediately raised her head, and suppressed all her emotions.

Then she turned to meet her younger brother's childish face.

Atsui looked puzzled.

The guest had just gone out, but his sister was inexplicably staying inside without coming out.

Was she tired?

Samui squatted down, and stroked his golden hair.

She looked at Atsui's innocent face, her eyes gentle with a hint of bitterness.

As long as she could protect her younger brother's future, she felt it was worth it.

This was for her only family... her younger brother.
