After three people came to an agreement, Chi Lian sent them out again and she started the process of implanting the chip in her daughters brain along with the help of her system T4. All that was left now was for Mei-Mei to wake up and begin her new life.
When she stepped out of the ward, she joined the rest of the family in the guest room which was reserved for caretakers of VIP patients on this floor. The Chi's owned a part of the hospital so this entire floor was reserved for their use only.
The large guest room was overcrowded, everyone had come out, including the nineteen year old triplets, her youngest children. Her three brothers, parents, grandparents and Muyang's family too, parents, grandparents, great grandparents, a few cousins, aunts and uncles.
Even two royal princes and some of their friends had made an appearance.
"Mom." the anxious triplets approached her first.
They called her at the same time and each of them found a place to grab on her body. They had grown up and yet the habit of overcrowding her.
"Freeze." she yelled slowly.
They paused their actions of pulling her in different directions, another habit they had not outgrown. When they were younger, they would fight over her, pulling her in different directions while screaming 'my mommy'.
Jun Jie, Jun Lei and Jun Yi were her biggest troubles, they had taken Chi Zimo's place in creating mischief.
"Unhand me you big babies, you are nineteen not nine." she pushed them all away. Freedom did not last long, Jun Muyang pulled her into his arms.
"I am protecting you from the terrible trio." he explained. He looked at the crowd of worried relatives and cleared his throat. "I know that everyone is anxious but Mei-Mei will be okay. Your sister, niece, cousin, granddaughter, great granddaughter, friend..." he looked around hoping that he had covered every tie they all had to Mei-Mei. "She is going to be okay."
Sitting quietly in a corner, decked up in the uniform of an imperial guard, Mei-Mei's twin brother Jun Mengzhi than everyone addressed as the Imperial commander or Little monk cleared his throat. It was a simple sound but a lot of people froze as if he had commanded them to quiet down.
"What do we intend to do about this? Mo Liang, his mother and his mistress are in this hospital right now. His son apparently collapsed and it has made international news already." He tapped his phone showing them the latest report from Phoenix news.
It was actually breaking news, Mo Hao, the special child that had been born successfully on an international space station had been hospitalized. Doctors were worried if this was because the environment of earth was different from that in space. Scientists were clamoring to take a look at the child.
Grandpa Jun looked down from out of the window. He saw the reporters, many of them and in the sky news drones were flying around the hospital.
Flying cars were also circling around the hospital rooftop and the police was forcing them to park on the ground or disperse. More and more of them were joining in however, both in the sky and on the ground. People wanted to look at Mo Hao, some had come to pray for him especially those that hoped for an opportunity to live on the new planet or space station.
"If I didn't know better, I would think that Jesus Christ had been reborn in the body of this kid with all the fuss they are kicking up." The old man muttered unhappily.
"Royal agents are surrounding his room, they have cordoned off the entire flow below ours to keep him and his mother safe." Grandma Jun scoffed. "That Mo Liang is really good, he run to the emperor as soon as he caused trouble."
Mo Jingzhe put a silver gun on the table. "I can easily get through the royal agents. I just need to know what we are going to do, are we killing Mo Hao, Tang Yue or....."
"Don't say it." Mama Chi, Chi Lian's mother covered her ears. "Please don't talk about killing a child. I know that he is rotten but are we the kind of family that sheds the blood of children?"
"He almost killed Mei-Mei." Rose, the adopted daughter of Muyang and Chi Lian said this in a raised voice. "Even if we cannot kill him we should spank him really hard. He should not be able to sit for a month."
"I like that plan." Jun Yi moved closer to her eldest sister Rose. "But that is about the child, what do we do about the adults. They stood by and watched Chi-Chi bleeding while talking about how to stage her death to look like an accident."
Jun Jie added, "If Mingzhu had not called Mo Jingzhe who knows what news....what lies we would be being fed today?"
Chi Lian sighed, she was sure that she was getting a headache. "Where is Mingzhu?"
"Here." A voice came from the back. It was the voice of Su Manchu, Chi Lian's eldest sister-in-law. She was married to her brother Chi Wei.
They created some space and Chi Lian saw her granddaughter Mingzhu sleeping in Su Manchu's arms. No matter where they were Manchu always had a child in her arms. She herself was a mother of six and when it came to grandchildren, she had ten so far.
"I fed her some food and a yogurt with a sleeping agent. She is a brave girl, not even once has she shed a single tear." Manchu rubbed Mingzhu's hair lovingly. "She was talking about her homework, saying her mother would not be happy to wake up and see that it had not been done."
All the adults sighed, they felt sorry for the poor six year old baby that was also harmed in this.
"Mo Liang must die." Jun Mengzhi declared.
"I agree, but not before Mei-Mei takes her revenge. For now, lets keep away from him because the royal family is involved. Mo Liang is a schemer, he might try to take advantage of our anger somehow. He must know that we have been alerted to Mei-Mei's injury and he is thinking about to protect himself. He is a beast that does not even spare his daughter to get what he wants.
If we do anything rash, he might harm his special bastard baby and put the blame on us or Mei-Mei. We might end up bringing more trouble for her than being of help."
The words had just come out of Chi Lian's mouth when a few voices in the room started to whisper, scoff and murmur.
Muyang hurled his phone down in anger. "That bastard, they are already claiming that he stepped on Mingzhu's toy, slipped and fell."
Chi Lian read the released statement which Tang Yue had put out as Mo Hao's mother. She claimed that she had gone with Mo Hao to a friends house and a little accident had happened.
"Friend!!" Jun Yi sneered. "What a bold mistress."
The room erupted in noise, arguments, suggestions and counter suggestions. Everyone wanted payback, they were tired of holding in their anger which had been building steadily for many years.
"I guess the fight has started." Chi Lian mumbled.
She excused herself and went into the bathroom, it was time for the peep star to get back to work.
