Boom!
Boom!
Terrifying blasts surged from the Destroyer Armor to the ground. Although Thor dodged several times, he couldn't avoid them completely. He was ultimately struck hard and slammed into the earth—bloodied and battered.
"Loki, this time, I won't give up to you again. I finally understand what it means to protect!" Thor roared. He didn't want the throne for himself, but now he realized he needed it—to protect those he cared about.
The moment his words fell, Mjolnir, which had remained motionless at the base, suddenly erupted with terrifying thunder energy and launched itself toward Thor.
"Die!" Loki growled, as the Destroyer Armor unleashed a devastating blast toward Thor.
Boom!
A surge of thunder energy exploded. In the next instant, Thor reappeared—now donned in his full Asgardian armor, wielding Mjolnir once more.
At the last second, Thor had awakened. He reclaimed the power of the God of Thunder, regaining his identity as the prince of Asgard.
Without hesitation, Thor launched a counterattack, summoning a massive surge of thunder that struck the Destroyer Armor.
But the Destroyer Armor was one of Asgard's trump cards—it wouldn't be defeated that easily. That's exactly why Fury and the others were so concerned.
Thor mirrored his future self from the video, summoning a powerful storm that lifted the Destroyer Armor into the sky, where he continued their battle above.
Boom!
The massive clash unleashed devastating shockwaves that rippled outward. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and special forces staggered back, many clutching their chests as though they were suffocating, on the verge of death.
It felt as if a mouthful of blood would come spewing out at any second.
Even Tony Stark instinctively sealed his helmet, unwilling to face such destructive shockwaves unprotected.
"It shouldn't be a problem—he beat the Destroyer Armor in the video," Nick Fury said.
Tony Stark nodded. "Magical armor is seriously impressive."
He didn't fully understand what was happening, but one thing was clear—the power of that magical armor far exceeded his own.
He was already considering building a new series of anti-type armor. Thor was powerful. The Destroyer Armor was powerful. Earth needed to develop its own armor to compete.
Suddenly, at that moment, the Bifrost opened in the sky, causing immense spatial distortion. A massive electric fracture cracked open as Tony Stark felt reality itself being torn apart.
"That's the Bifrost!"
Tony recognized it immediately. This was the mythical rainbow bridge—Bifrost, Asgard's cosmic gateway to the Nine Realms.
Through Bifrost, the gods of Asgard could travel across realms at will.
"Are reinforcements coming?"
Tony's expression turned grim. This situation was already diverging from what the video showed.
If Thor hadn't yet defeated the Destroyer Armor and Asgard had sent in reinforcements, things could spiral out of control.
But what came next was not help—it was a blast of terrifying cold, plummeting from the heavens and instantly freezing everything in its path: the air, space, time itself.
Thor, still engaged in battle, had no defense against such an attack. The cold engulfed him, and in a flash, he was frozen solid—transformed into a towering ice sculpture—and fell from the sky.
Boom!
Thor's frozen form smashed into the ground, leaving a crater where he landed.
"What...?" Nick Fury froze.
Everyone was stunned. This twist was beyond anything they had expected. No one thought Thor would be taken down so suddenly—and so completely.
The source of it all was Loki.
Holding the Casket of Ancient Winters in his hands, Loki had used the spatial instability created by Bifrost to transmit a burst of absolute-zero cold from the Casket directly to Earth—hitting Thor with it in a single, devastating strike.
In an instant, Thor had gone from a living god to an inert ice statue.
The battle was over in a single move.
This was the true ace up the Frost Titans' sleeve. The Casket of Ancient Winters had long been in Odin's hands and unused. But now, in Loki's possession, its legendary power had been unleashed once again—instantly neutralizing Thor.
Had Thor been given more time, he might have fully awakened his divine power. But instead, he was frozen at a critical moment.
In Asgard, the blue hue that had crept across Loki's skin slowly faded. With the activation of the Casket, the long-dormant divine power of the Frost Titans within him had begun to awaken.
This power was completely different from his usual magic.
It was like Thor's thunderous energy—a power embedded deep in his bloodline. Once awakened, its strength knew no limits.
Loki had inherited the blood of Laufey, king of the Frost Titans. The Titans were Asgard's mortal rivals, and their ancient, elemental powers were anything but trivial.
Now Loki had fully awakened that bloodline power.
"This... is my strength," he whispered.
Loki looked down at himself. The pale blue hue was slowly receding. He hated this appearance. It made him look like a monster born of darkness, something meant to inspire fear, not nobility.
But he wasn't a monster. He was the second prince of Asgard.
He refused to accept being Laufey's son. According to Odin, Loki had been abandoned in the Frost Titan temple because of his small size compared to other Titans.
Without Odin, he would've died long ago.
How could he feel any sense of belonging to the Frost Titans or to Laufey?
Yes, he hated Odin's favoritism toward Thor. But deep down, he acknowledged this kingdom as his home—this family as his own. It was entirely different from the cold, cruel gazes of the Frost Titans.
"I'm not a monster... I'm not. I'm the second prince of Asgard," Loki murmured, suppressing the surge of frost power within him.
His appearance softened again—once more taking on the poised, refined demeanor of Asgard's gentle second prince.
But that incredible power... it thrilled him. For the first time, he felt as though he might actually stand shoulder-to-shoulder with his older brother.
As long as he could continue to awaken this buried divine strength—anything was possible.
