The sky was heavy with clouds, and the scent of rain lingered in the air. Aria pulled her hoodie tighter as she walked down the familiar street, her eyes narrowing the moment she spotted him.

Leaning against the café entrance like he had all the time in the world, phone in hand, completely unaware—or maybe ignoring—the fact that he was in the way.

Aria sighed, already irritated. Why was he always here?

As if sensing her, Aiden looked up. His lips curled into a smirk. "Great. Just what I needed today."

Aria rolled her eyes. "Trust me, I'm not thrilled either."

"You think I care?" she shot back, stepping inside the café.
