"Is that so?" Sarutobi looked solemn after listening to Suzuki's report.
"Hiruzen, we can't hesitate. The Hidden Grass Village has provoked us. If we don't retaliate, Konoha will lose its deterrent against the Land of Lightning and the Land of Earth. They might restart the war."
Danzo, more strategic, argued that inaction could lead to a larger conflict.
This Sarutobi was not the future senile leader, but an ambitious man seeking to solidify his power. Hidden Grass Village's provocation presented an opportunity.
Hearing Danzo's plea, Sarutobi donned his bamboo hat, extinguished his pipe, and sat with authority.
"Order!"
"Wow!" Everyone in the room stood at attention, including Danzo. He was not yet in a position to sit while orders were given.
"Except for essential personnel, all ANBU will serve as the main force to counterattack Hidden Grass Village. Danzo, lead this operation and teach them a lesson."
Having decided, Sarutobi issued his orders firmly.
Danzo smiled at the assignment.
Against Hidden Grass Village, Konoha needed minimal preparation. The ANBU could easily overwhelm them.
Danzo acted swiftly, departing with the ANBU. The villagers remained unaware of the conflict.
"So we're left out this time? I wanted to show off my skills," Akano said, disappointed, after hearing Suzuki's report.
"Boom!"
"Stop talking nonsense, kid! In war, people die. You're far from ready," Suzuki-sensei said, punching Akano's head.
"It… hurts!" Akano cried, clutching the bump on his head.
"Akano-kun, are you alright?" Kiko asked, concerned, and used her medical ninjutsu to treat the swelling.
After the swelling subsided, Kiko looked at Suzuki-sensei reproachfully. "Suzuki-sensei, are you too harsh?"
Suzuki-sensei lay on the grass, hands behind his head, legs crossed, a straw in his mouth, staring at the sky.
"I taught him a lesson. Underestimating war is a death sentence," he replied.
"Suzuki-sensei is very responsible!" Yuta said, narrowing his eyes.
"Tch, you're not a cute kid," Suzuki-sensei muttered, ignoring Yuta's praise, and continued gazing at the sky.
"What about our mission? It failed, but not by our fault. The recipient was killed. We still escorted the supplies," Akano said.
Yuta and Kiko looked at Suzuki-sensei.
"Well, the C-rank mission failed, but bringing back important information earned us an A-rank mission credit," Suzuki-sensei said.
"Great. We have A-rank mission experience now. We'll be chunin soon," Akano said excitedly.
"Yes, and our team will disband," Suzuki-sensei said.
Two months later, Hidden Grass Village was beyond wrecked.
```When Danzo, who had lost an eye, returned to the village, he was not met with heroic cheers, but with angry rebukes from the Third Hokage.
Originally, the Third Hokage only intended to teach Hidden Grass Village a lesson, but the radical Danzo went as far as attempting to completely annihilate it.
Seeing Konoha's intent to eradicate them, Hidden Grass Village sought aid from Hidden Stone Village.
The Land of Earth, unwilling to see Konoha occupy the Land of Grass, sent ninjas to fight Danzo's forces.
Ultimately, the conflict resulted in heavy losses for both Konoha and Hidden Stone, while Hidden Grass was basically destroyed.
Konoha's ANBU suffered significant casualties, forcing the Third Hokage to agree to Danzo's proposal. The Konoha's root was established.
Mito sensed Danzo's fear of the Senju clan and his ambition, so he made a deal with Yuta, exchanging his sealing techniques for the Rasengan.
Shortly after, many Senju clan members mastered the Rasengan, leading to a heated argument between Danzo and the Third Hokage in the Hokage's office.
This marked the beginning of Danzo's pursuit of power.
Twenty years into Konoha's existence, Hidden Grass Village was considered destroyed.
__________
At this time, Yuta and Akano were twelve, and Kiko was eleven.
Due to Danzo's aggressive actions, the village's strength diminished, and Suzuki-sensei was no longer Yuta's instructor.
Yuta was promoted to chunin in an emergency, and Kiko transferred to Konoha Hospital. Akano and the new graduates formed a new genin team.
Six years passed quickly.
Since becoming the head of the ANBU training division, Danzo had become largely invisible in the village. Ninja clan members would occasionally disappear without a trace.
Though the war with Hidden Grass Village caused significant losses, the Third Hokage used it to solidify his authority. The clans no longer dared to oppose him, and the older generation receded, leaving the "F4" to lead Konoha.
Six years later, eighteen-year-old Yuta had changed considerably. He was 1.8 meters tall, slender, with a gentle demeanor and a subtle, almost sinister smile.
With his silver hair and perpetually closed eyes, he was unrecognizable from his twelve-year-old self.
"Yuta, good morning. Delivering soup to Kiko again? She's amazing, giving you triplets! I'm so envious!"
"Yes, yes! I heard the Namikaze family had a son recently, but Kiko is even more impressive, three at once!"
Yuta patiently greeted his enthusiastic neighbors, his joy evident.
He and Kiko had married when she turned sixteen. She took a leave from the hospital after the new year.
Kiko's pregnancy was difficult, and Tsunade confirmed she was carrying triplets, prompting Kiko's immediate leave.
Two days prior, Kiko gave birth to three healthy boys. Konoha was astounded, and visitors were constant.
Triplets were unheard of in Konoha's history. Everyone wanted to visit the Yuta family, who were known for their amiable nature.
High-ranking officials, familiar ninjas, and even shop owners sought to strengthen their connections with Yuta.
To allow Kiko to rest, she and the children were taken to the Senju compound, while Yuta stayed to entertain the guests.
