Aseära spent the entirety of the next day plotting her escape, she knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was entirely excited by the idea and ready to try it out. Hopefully, it would work. When she was younger and living in her family house back at Birek bidge she would always sneak out of the manor to go play with her friends in the village; Stacia and Hedegar, now that she did remember them, she missed them greatly, though it has quite some time since they last saw each other. As she turned eighteen her mother did try to put an end to her escapades, as she considered it absolutely unfit for a lady of her status and age. Each time her mother would try to cage her in and she found a way to escape every time.
And she would escape this Darklord's castle as well, not even the master of the castle himself would be able to stop her.
To allay the suspicions of the Darklord she feigned being all moody whenever she was in his presence, acting as though she was really dismayed with the continued marriage.
At sundown everything was set, all that was left was for her to play the dismayed moody wife at dinner and then when he retreats to his study and leave to go alone to her bedroom, she would take her things and escape.
"Milady, it is time for dinner," Torva said as she peered into her lady's bedchamber. She wondered why it was not Aslana as usual but said nothing.
"Thank you, Torva" she replied as she stood up from where she was sat at her dressing table, straightening her gown she walked to the open doorway. From then on she was accompanied by Torva and her assigned guard to the dining hall where the Darklord would undoubtedly be waiting already.
Just before she walked into the dining hall, as she stood before the closed doors, Aseära took in a deep breath as she readied herself for an award worthy performance before her husband at dinner tonight.
"My lady" the guard, Sven bowed before he closed the door and left, leaving her alone with the Darklord, her unwanted husband. Torva had already went her away long before they reached the private dining hall.
"Evening, husband" she greeted, making a pointed effort to draw out her voice dramatically in order to sound severely sad.
"Wife" came the one worded reply of the Darklord as he continued eating, not bothering to look up. If he noticed the sadness in her voice, he didn't show it nor care.
Towards the end of an extremely silent dinner time, the Darklord finally looked up from his plate at her as he said, "You have been very quiet tonight."
Tonight was her turn to play his part, it seems. She said nothing.
"Don't tell me you are still sulking because of what I said at dinner last night" Aseära thought his voice held a faint mocking quality to it, but not knowing him to well, she wasn't sure.
The way he arranged those words, like the words he said last night were of something so trivial, like he didn't just announce her continued being chained in this bondage called marriage. Like he didn't elongate her captivity indefinitely. Good thing she has a plan, that would sure wipe of the current look on his face which she considers smug, although his expression is as stoic and cast in stone as before.
"Don't worry, you would find marriage to me is not as bad as you think" the Darklord said, drawing her out of her thoughts, "I would be so out of your sight and way, except when it is necessary to be in your presence, that you would even forget you are joined in union to me still"
"I thought your sole purpose for this union is to get an heir, how can that happen if you are constantly away from my presence?"
"If I did not know better, I would think you are indeed eager to get down to the process of making an heir" he said, letting his mask shift for a brief second to show the suggestive look in his eyes, before Aseära could react however, he waved his hand in the air as though waving away his previous statement, and said "But, I know better."
"You need not worry, everything concerning that department is included in the necessary time when I need be in your presence" he said "Other than that, I am fairly certain you would find my absence rather joyful" he said, his last words sounding self-deprecatory.
At his last word, he stood up, being done with dinner and departed the dining hall. Aseära, being done with dinner as well stood up almost immediately after, filled with sudden excitement as the fulfilment of her escape plan neared.
