June 1, 2016 – 5:00 AM

The sharp, repetitive blare of the alarm pierced through the tranquil morning. With a groggy sigh, Hinata's hand slammed down on the clock, cutting off the annoying sound. He stared at the ceiling for a moment, blinking away the remnants of sleep. The faint light creeping through the window cast soft patterns on the wall—a familiar sight after countless early mornings.

Without much thought, he dragged himself out of bed, shuffled to the bathroom, and began brushing his teeth. His reflection stared back at him: a lean, muscular frame, powerful arms, broad shoulders, and a well-defined core. His once-scrawny figure had transformed over the past four years. His hair, still bright orange and wild as ever, seemed to gleam under the morning light.

As he rinsed his mouth, he muttered, "System, show me my stats."

A translucent blue panel appeared in front of him.

[Stat Points: 3.05]

Hinata's eyes lingered on the stats for a moment, his lips twitching into a small smile. Almost there…

He flexed his fingers, recalling how each skill had become an extension of himself. His spikes were now devastatingly precise—enough to leave opponents in awe or despair. His serves curved wickedly through the air, leaving even seasoned players flustered. His blocks were solid and immovable, while his receives were flawless. All his stats were inching toward SSS, and once they were maxed out, he planned to focus solely on Set—the only stat lagging behind. With Kageyama by his side, he didn't need to rush that particular skill, but he knew it would be necessary to achieve his goal of becoming the GOAT.

Hinata's gaze hardened with determination. SSS won't be enough. He knew he had to push beyond that. The EX tier was his true goal, where only world elites stood.

He closed the status window and glanced around his room. His eyes fell on a familiar orange uniform, neatly folded on the chair beside his desk—the Karasuno High uniform. A grin tugged at his lips. First day of school, huh?

It was still hard to believe that yesterday had been his final day at Fly High Volleyball Coaching Center. Four years of relentless training had flown by. He could still picture the bittersweet farewell. Coach Naruto, who had mentored him through it all, had been uncharacteristically quiet, barely speaking a word. But Hinata had caught the subtle glimmer of pride in his eyes. The coach had ruffled his hair and muttered, "You better become the ace you blabbered on about four years ago… you idiot."

Though he was clearly being his usual tsundere self, the coach's rare display of emotion had hit Hinata hard. The small farewell party had been filled with laughter, claps on the back, and even a few tears from the juniors he had mentored.

Hinata shook the memory from his mind and headed to the shower. The cold water refreshed him, washing away the sleepiness. Stepping out, he quickly dried himself and walked over to his wardrobe.

He traced his fingers over the Karasuno uniform. His heart thudded with excitement. He slipped into the uniform. He tied his sneakers tightlyand slung his sports bag over his shoulder. Before heading out, he glanced at himself in the mirror one last time. The lean, powerful athlete staring back at him was a far cry from the scrawny 11-year-old boy who had first stepped into Fly High.

As he turned toward the door, his mother's voice rang out from the kitchen.

"Shoyo! Come have breakfast or you'll be late for your first day of school!"

He smiled, the familiar warmth filling his chest. Despite having lived with Hinata's family for the past four years, he still occasionally felt a pang of longing for his previous life—his old family, gone too soon. But now, Hinata's mother and Natsu were his family. They were home.

He strode toward the kitchen, the sound of clattering plates and the scent of miso soup filling the air.

"Coming, Mom!" he called out with a grin, a surge of excitement building in his chest.

Today marked the beginning of his new chapter. The chapter where Karasuno's Little Giant would take his first step toward becoming the GOAT.
