Returning back to the inheritance spot wasn't a hard task. Not with his superhuman constitution and spiritual sense.
While on his way back, he finally used an idea that he had been pondering for a long time.
Concentrating his spiritual energy on the tendons of his legs, each step he took resulted in an explosive leap.
With a little concentration, it felt as if he was a bullet slicing through the air. No longer afraid of exposing his ability to use spiritual energy he also began passively using spiritual sense.
That unfortunately came at a cost since the double vision from both his eyes and spiritual sense caused him to mess up a step and tumble onto the rock ground below.
Though he took a tumble, he grinned from ear to ear laughing at his own slight mishap.
It was as if he had turned back into a kid, experimenting and figuring out the world. It was small but it brightened his mood.
For the rest of the way to his new base, he decided to practice getting used to the double vision of passively using spiritual sense.

Leo wasn't the type of person to really get too attached to someone. He knew better than that.
He'd seen countless people die under the hands of their captivators, he knew resistance was futile.
For generations, submissiveness was bred into the humans of Roanoke village. Rarely would you find someone even thinking of resisting.
It was for that reason alone that Luke caught his eye. He was different. He was alive. He wasn't like the husks who had given up on their life of servitude.
So when Luke happened to disappear after dinner, Leo knew he had succeeded in what others had long given up on.
He was happy for his friend. He really was. He knew he shouldn't have gotten attached but life never was fair to him.

If Luke were to give a rating on his proficiency in using spiritual sense he'd probably give himself somewhere around a 2/10.
By the time he reached the small creek that sustained him during his first day, he had only barely gotten used to walking with spiritual sense.
Unlike when he actively used spiritual sense, the range of his passive sense was only 1 meter. A mere 1% of his active range.
Despite that drastic reduction of range, it was more than enough for the novice Luke who was still learning the ropes.
Luke sighed as he sat under the same tree that he had slept under all those months ago. Despite it being close to 6 months the trees still held their green foliage, and the wind whistled through the empty forest.
Perhaps due to the planet's two suns or the fact they might've been near the equator, it seemed that the area never hit a true winter.
Only now it rained a lot more than it had a few months ago.
As Luke looked towards the starry night, he began forming a plan of action for the following weeks to come.
He had to train, he had to scout, and most importantly had to breakthrough into the next stage of cultivation.

Scouting wasn't that fun of a job, but it was an absolutely necessary part of his plan to make Roanoke village into humanity's stronghold.
In any battle, information was key. Luke knew that better than anyone considering the fact he had conquered the economic scene on earth due to that alone.
While some might assume that his whispers could provide him with every piece of info he might need. That was unfortunately hardly the case.
While his whispers might give him hints and advice from time to time, he still had to do his due diligence and gather information the hard way.
Currently, that was exactly what he was doing, as he trailed behind a monkey on his way to what he assumed was another monkey settlement.
Using spiritual sense he was able to maintain a distance of 100 meters, basically ensuring that he wouldn't be caught.
By now it had been close to half a month since his escape. Though he understood how to breakthrough into the next stage of cultivation, through constant trial and error he realized the necessity of spiritual stones.
While he couldn't absorb any more spiritual energy, he needed the extra source of energy to aid in his breakthrough.
It was for that reason that he paused his goal of breaking through to instead gather intel on the layout of the village.
More importantly, he was focused on the monkeys who guarded the spiritual stone mine.
While he had hoped there stood moments where the mine was unguarded, it was clear that whoever ruled the village understood the importance of its content.
It was whilst scouting the outer borders of the village that he noticed a monkey traveling outside of its border.
Over the few days he had been scouting the village, he noticed that the only time the monkeys left the village was during their trade with the Queen.
So seeing a monkey leave the village to somewhere other than the Queen's territory was a big catch.
That though was nearly two days ago. Luke didn't know how many miles or kilometers he had crossed but he knew they were close to wherever he needed to be.
Unlike the wild forest that surrounded Roanoke village, there stood cleared dirt roads that were clearly artificially created.
They were approaching somewhere civilized, somewhere that was clearly much more advanced than the village.
It took a few more hours but Luke could see the forest begin to end. In front of him stood a vast plain which spread past the horizon.
In the far-off distance stood a medieval fortress city. Outside its borders were farms, while renaissance-like buildings stood high above inside its stone wall.
Had Luke found this sight without his whispers, he might've rushed towards its walls assuming it to be of human origin.
Only now he knew the real threat that it posed. It was no safe haven. It was a slaughterhouse for any humans who didn't know better.
Having gained as much information as he could without endangering himself, he headed back to his little base of operations.
He truly was just a frog in a well.
