Deep in a trance/dream like state, Zol sat in his chair, not asleep but having a vision, the combination of the words on the page of the book in his hand and the state of his mind upon arriving to the understanding he did with the combination of his current mastery of magic and his recent conversation with Ling informing him of Prozigul's equation. Zol had an intuition that this was a key understanding that may have seemed like a natural next step to those more informed, giving him a feeling that yet again, upon thinking he's reached the peak, he was yet again at the base of the mountain he was attempting his whole life to climb, not that he hadn't made any progress, just that the progress he had made so far was only to teach him to use his climbing gear. Such a far out hunch came from his experience with the word thus far, although he could only wait to see if it'd turn out to be true.
Within his current vision, he was witnessing a nearly overwhelming amount of information being displayed in so many different ways it threatened to sour his mood. Being an Eternal Warlord, Zol had extreme fortitude of the soul, finding the vision, although a bit overwhelming, not drastic enough to worry over his sanity, he found that he was always able to see things clearly again after a good fight, his mind not clouded by too many unnecessary thoughts. Absorbing all the information that he could, Zol realized many things pertaining to what humans called "magic" under the impression that it was a supernatural phenomenon, though he began to understand that it was a natural and explainable way that humans interacted with the rules of reality. Reality itself being a collective dream of sorts in and of itself, a humans belief that they can accomplish such a thing as control and create flames or wind through their mental attunement to the aspects of the corresponding elements or principles of reality, is as powerful as they believe their ability and attunement to be, it can be said that any human, if they truly believe they can do so, could defeat even Zol. Realizing the depth of an individual's understanding of the way of all things, is also their level of strength in magic. This made Zol even more curious as to who the author of his book could be, though the words had been so powerful they had caused the vision he was having now, Zol hadn't even made it a few chapters in before this happened, he still had more to read and comprehend before he could consider seeking this master. He was truly at the base of a mountain every time he thought he'd happened "to do it this time" though it was pleasing to Zol, even in the midst of the intense vision, he appreciated that life allowed him to experience so much complexity and wonder. The vision slowly faded away and Zol came back to his senses, sitting in the chair and saving the rest of the book for another time, unable to read further, he got up to check the clock to see that it was nearly 7:00 am, he wasn't sure exactly what time he had gotten to sleep the night before, but he was certain he hadn't slept long, though he was not someone who did not mind sleeping in, he was in a certain mood to get something done, make progress somehow, although he did not want to work his mind anymore, he did not want to relax, so he decided bathe, to change his clothes, and to practice his forms and techniques. Having his driver take him to the royal training field, he did not pay much attention to the drivers skill today, keeping the understandings he recently acquired fresh in his mind, although in the fight against the mysterious fighter, he had understood the universe, it was illusive and tricky how the understanding seemed to wink and fade away like a dream, requiring faith rather than memory to properly understand, as it is impossible to remember, but somehow still possible to feel the truth.
On the royal training field, Zol could be seen doing various high speed moves from his hand to hand combat technique, although he could be seen in between the actual high speed movements, the onlooking fighters there to train could not actually see the moves, all they saw was a blur as they looked over, they could feel the wind from his strikes, some warriors even falling over from an especially powerful strikes force, the sound of the wind turned all of their heads as well if they hadn't noticed the wind, warriors struggled to watch in awe, as the intensity of his strikes grew even more severe, sending a few warriors flying several feet away with the wind. Noticing this, Zol decided to stop the physical warm up, although the strength of his strikes were very minimal, and did not serve as a proper warm up, it was the best he could do without harming the onlooking warriors.
Unleashing now, various magic techniques on a very small scale, Zol carefully controlled multiple elements as well as his blackhole technique and other non elemental techniques, including ' Sol ' - what Zol called the ability to touch the soul of an object and make it harder or softer, stretchy or sticky or any quality of matter, realizing these powers were all connected to the recent understandings he had, on deeper levels than he previously thought possible, all he could do was explore his mastery and control as he practiced his various techniques, he found that his mind was still wanting to think, but he silenced it with his focus on comprehending this new understanding through direct practice.
In the a moment of intense focus, Zol was surprised, by something - someone other than himself, which did not happen often. A hand had been placed on his shoulder, turning to face who could have possibly avoided his perception, with a demeanor that might suggest he wasn't surprised, able to maintain his composure, he locked eyes with the man who had snuck up behind him.
"Hello there so called Warlord, I see that you allowed yourself to tunnel vision whilst you focused on the techniques you are practicing, allowing me to surprise you like I did."
The stunning young man said with a smug smile as he retracted his hand from Zol's shoulder. Having directly revealed that he was able to see through Zol's attempt at remaining at composed, Zol became wary of this man, also shocked that someone so young had surpassed him in strength, coming to this conclusion without a doubt unable to gauge the scale of his energy.
"I see you're a perceptive one yourself, might I ask why you approached me?"
Zol asked the young man.
"I have a few things I'd like to talk with you about, I do believe it'd interest you. Although I don't fine all these eyes to be the best atmosphere for a conversation, would you mind joining me for lunch?"
The young man was charismatic with his words, though Zol found these type of people to be devious as times, he had no reason not to trust this man.
"I see no reason why not, let me choose the resturaunt, I'm very familiar with the local cuisine, it'll be my treat."
Zol offered courteously, taking the hint that he may be on the receiving end of generosity today.
At a luxurious resturaunt picked out especially by the man with the mysterious speed of comprehension, Zol, he sat face to face with another extremely mysterious man. He found so many aspects of himself within this stranger it was beyond sickening - it was wicked the amount of awesome it was. Zol excused his simple words entering his mental space, preferring to keep his thoughts very particular, believing if he always remained in the mindset of the Eternal Warlord, he would always be an Eternal Warlord. He had a strangely detailed intuition that this was some form of story of his greatness the speed he was learning and hopping over learning curves. He had truly honed his mind to such an extent, and as he had learned to not doubt, he had a feeling that this stranger also felt the same about him, almost a mirror the amount of similarities they possesed, while simultaneously being so unfamiliar with each other to be strangers. With swagger yet grace, Zol and the young man sat in silence for a while, only speaking to the waiter to order their food. Feeling the energy in the room shift to a proper time to discuss what they both knew they wanted to discuss, a potential fight, they carefully sized each other up, both maintaining their quick wit in the ensuing conversation:
"I am a Young Prince, my name is Don and I grew up in the lovely land of Raunez. Though much different from your world, I ended up here in a twist of fate, falling through a strangely placed portal, unable to escape it's grasp even with my potent foresight and abilities, it's almost as if you're dreaming when you go through it's extremely strange, yet important to remain composed, as I've heard of warriors being lost or rather, losing themselve's to the light's and extreme detail so vivid it consumes your mind, it is an important aspect of course to maintain their composure, naturally, I had no problem putting it through so to say - me - but this phenomenon is called a quantum leap and is very real, contrary to and of your previous beliefs, perhaps the dream realm is the place to enter a portal to another world, though it makes sense to say that you must properly prepare your universe first by trying your best at absolutely everything and clearing every little bit of your karma - as well as faith in two mysterious figures who have carved the way before us. I'd challenge you to a fight, I'd really love to, but things can get hectic in this life we are living, and I'd challenge you instead to work with me to comprehend what we can and hope for a happy ending."
The young prince's words were carefully crafted and extremely enticing, though Zol had his own questions to purpose, a man of pragmatic and rational thinking, he could appreciate the idea of believing before seeing, but he had his own preconceptions, though he found even these falling through as life began to move so fast it was nearly in his face in distance the way he was talking directly to the spirit of life and consistently intellectualizing it, though Zol had a deep feeling within him that everyone should calm down, things get hectic? Isn't that just a fancy way to say things get serious? And if his principles are to be taken seriously to the letter, one would have to also give up their ability to feel concern for the different circumstances of life, appearing at times and stone cold and uncaring, though in reality, they care so much it'd creep you out, though they need to, to maintain the ego they each knew they had in order to properly fight and maintain themselves.
"It could be said that one must latch onto different things emotionally in order to make it through life, perhaps it's not so serious as to call it hectic, perhaps it's so silly that it'd allow you to believe it was serious for a second for your own questioning of the mysteries of life to properly bear fruit?"
Feeling that these words potentially helped the stranger further digest his understanding of the way of things, Zol had a small sigh of relief for some reason, though as an Eternal Warlord he did not care particularly if he made too big of an impression, if the stranger was truly genuine in his attempts to work together, Zol had no reason to refuse, continuing their conversation late into the night, the city remained as beautiful and perfect as always as it seems the young prince found a nice place to land from a portal and eat.
