Chapter 2 - Sobek.

[????]

Woah, an unfamiliar ceiling. How did I even get here. Is this a worldly feature, searing hot rain = roof over your head. Seems very unsubtle and how does it even choose a house does it take families into consideration, maybe it is onl-.

"Finally awake, my child." The man say's slow walking as the wall lights lit as he walked passes them, flashing bright as they lit up his flesh. Though one thing remained on my mind, How Did He Do THAT.

The noise, it seemed to come out of his face hole. Let me try it. "Hot wind blows." I said, sounds escaped from my face hole this was nice to d-.

"Are you just going to ignore me after I saved your life. Kids are too self centered these days back in my time reverence was to be expected no matter the age." He sayed staring his crocodile green eye's straight into my soul. Scary.

"Oh my fault, I tend to lose myself once I discover anything even a bit new like the rain from previous void I assume. It was quite a bit hot like the chains that had me tied for so long." I said, I wanted to do this thing more but I felt like copying his way more it seemed more, uhm what's the word I am looking for.

"Chains huh, that, seems you were in slavery though you don't seem to have the scarring that comes with being chained up all your life. Hey, boy come here." I stood up from the bed looking at my skin, I had black spots all over my vessel and the bones kept cracking and it seemed to be falling apart. Just grazing my feet against the ground irritated the black spots.

"It's as I thought, that is not your body. Where did you get it young one." Sobek said glancing across my vessel swiping his fingers across the spots, seemingly willing them away. "Yeah, this is really just a vessel to me I suppose I was stuck in the void for so long that I barely even remember what its like before." I said moving the recovered limbs, removing the spots and pain.

Before Sobek could even answer I was already stood up both his hands clasped in mine. " Teach me how you did that. I can't give you this vessel but I can promise you loyalty for as long this vessel is active." I begged the man.

"Weeeeelllll, I don't need your vessel persay but depending on how much you can offer I might have something I want you to do for me. So I'll test your potential in a while and then I'll assess you but I hope you can actually try to learn how to use that body of yours. You wouldn't be good for inspection with that fucked up body. There is some diced duck and some leftover salata on the table and it's to die for, Dalia made it for me." Sobek said before exiting the room. I touched briefly the spot where he touched to remove the spots.

They were truly gone, and it didn't even seem like they would even be back.

I was astonished by even the thought before I looked up to see the very same wheel I had seen in the void. It had a lever this time attached with pull me written on. So I did I what I was told.

I pulled the lever.

[ Epic Trait - Peak Specimen

You are genetically the peak of your race, all those impurities or genetic defects your race could have had don't affect you, it's almost like you were selectively bred to be the peak specimen of your species.]

"HUH." The last thing that exited my face hole before I fell to the ground.

(Some time later)

I opened my eyes to Sobek standing right above me looking as my face.

"What a surprise, you managed to remove all your bodily impurities. You might be more useful as you are right now. Good job." He said lightly tapping his grabber on my face.

"What happened? " I asked Sobek. He seemed to know everything and that's exactly what I wanted to know.

"Well, my assumption is that you heard me say get familiar with the body your in and you decided it was impure and removed any semblance of impurities. Just use your nose and smell around you. It's shitty as Duat." Sobek said pressing the sharp thing on his face.

I tried to get something through it but nothing was coming through, until I decided to "tug" with it and I was assaulted by things that I didn't even know impurities that shouldn't be allowed existence.

"What is that." I said covering my nose. "Well, I cleaned the goop, but the smell stayed the scented candles should get rid of it by sunrise. Let's go get you that diced duck." Sobek said reaching his hand out to me.

I reached mine out and grabbed his before he lifted me up and half dragged me to the diced duck place. He pushed me into a construction that holds things above ground. A few moments after, he started forcing the food down to my abdomen.

It was enjoyable, but it was weird at first. It felt like a big mortal and a small mortal. Except the feeling was warm and fuzzy. Unlike the nights outside.

"Well time for a course on what this vessel has and what it can do." Sobek said giving me a wide toothey grin.

[6 Hours later]

"Great that's everything you need to know for day to day life. You'll learn more about it the longer you live in it." Sobek said. He had spent the last 6 rotations of the "Hour glass" teaching me how to live life as a "human" which felt a bit familiar but I wasn't too stressed about it.

It seemed to be alot, but he said I was unexpectedly fluent in Arabic and English. Which were "languages". Forms of communication built by humans to converse with humans.

"Hey, boy!" He screamed, causing me to jolt out of my trance. "Yes Sobek?" I said looking him in the eye. Apparently this was to show that you were focused on the conversation at hand.

"Once it's dusk, within 2 rotations of the glass. We're going to connect you to the spirits. I want to see if your vessel has some potential with Heka. I will tell you more depending on your talent."

Sobek said, standing up right after he said that. He was pretty fun.

[Understand the human body. +1 Bronze random ticket.]

So this screen right here grants me, tickets in exchange for achievements. How useful, is there anything else it has besides traits and random things like this. I thought getting up and walking to the room I was in before hoping to see the wheel there and it still was.

I got close and pulled the lever again.

[ Common trait - Charming eyes

Not to be confused with the mystical eyes of charming, instead of hypnotising people your eyes are just really pretty. ]

"Hmmm, seems like that's not going to change anything massive." I was hoping for something that could change my body as the first one did. Unfortunately it seems like platinums were the only ones that could actually change my body.

I walked around the house. Sobek said there was a library around the house. I wanted to see this place he said has a worlds worth of information. I'm guessing it had something to do with his, well over 50 million years of life.

"I call bullshit, he said it himself humans don't usually live beyond 120 years. Either he lied right to my face or he's not human. I don't think he'd lie to me. He's too much fun to be a liar. So it's decided he's not human." I said slamming my fist into my palm.

I walked into the library, and my golly. Everywhere, all that could be seen was racks and racks of books. Tall enough to hit the sky high ceiling. This is a ton of books, hopefully I can finish it in the next 2 cycles.

Before I could even process what happened my body was already in motion, side stepping an entire iron pole the lodged itself into the door.

"Who are you and what are you doing in God Sobeks library." I heard from behind me, but my movement was restrained with a knife to my neck.

I turnt my eyes to the side to see Amber coloured orbs. Quite beautiful they are. I thought before feeling the knife press harder into my skin.

" Sorry if my intrusion caused you some distress. While I don't know my affiliation with Sobek he does refer to me as his child." I said before I was let loose. I rubbed my neck. Checking for my assualtant but they were already gone.

"How conveniently fast. I'll have to remember to knock next time." I said before continuing my walk deeper. I wanted to see any books about the planet I was on. Preferably a quick overview with any places of importance.

I quickly browsed all the places I could and grabbed 2 books, which were a history and geographical book, though I couldn't even read it as my time was up. Spending all that time browsing might have been a problem.

"Sobek!! I'm ready!!" I screamed out hoping that he'd hear me and pop up like he always did.

I was severely mistaken as I saw a bottle lain next to where I stood it had a paper inside. I grabbed and reached inside. The paper told me to head back to my room and that someone was there waiting for me.

So I did what I was said.

Entering the door to my room, I saw sobek, sitting there on the floor with what seemed to be a paper and a knife. "Come and sit, young one." Sobek said as his green eyes locked onto mine.

"Whats the knife for." I asked sitting in front of him.

"This is to test what your Heka will align itself towards. Whether it be thought, deed, image or power. Which your Heka will allow you to control. Afterwards we'll be doing spirit summoning and finally I would have to test your physical endurance, but you've proved endurance already. " Sobek stated, his eyes always locked directly with mine.

" Ooooo, is this Heka thing the same as what you used before." I beamed at the thought of using whatever that was.

" Oh that, no that was divinity. It has a strong healing ability attached to it." Sobek stated.

"Is there anyway that I can attain divinity." I asked I was basically all the way in his face asking this.

"Your either born with it or it's bust. Unfortunately for you but if you obtain a Heka of image, you can do the same as I did before with a bit of practice." Sobek said, his hand on my face pushing me back into my sitting position.

"Hmmm. Please tell me all you know about these Heka's, I might be able to guess what they are." I asked this time staying rooted in my spot.

"I'll give you a brief overview now and a book on it later on. First off Image allows us to picture something and then bring that picture to reality. Here's a demonstration." Sobek closed his eyes and {bvv} fire burst to life floating next to him.

"You can easily overwhelm your opponents with this Heka although it will drain you faster than any other. It can even erase you as it drains vitality for power. Though for immortals such as myself it is a viable line of fire power." Sobek said moving the fire closer to me allowing me to feel it's heat.

" Next is the Heka of Thought. This is pretty self explanatory. It allows you to hypnotize people and make them do your bidding. It even allows for people to read minds and erase memories." Sobek said.

"Heka of Deed is the most confusing. It allows for things as small as causing a reflex lag in the body to something as big as sealing off an entire country from outside interference."

"Finally Heka of power, is the ability to overpower and also power up others. The first ability allows you to change the settings and rules of abilities, such as making ice hot without melting. The second ability is just the as it says, it uses vitality or divinity to give strength to others." He finished off by releasing a long sigh.

" Well now that I've done my part time for yours. Poke your finger with this knife and pour your blood on the paper. " He said handing me the knife.

I looked at him for a moment but for the first time ever, there was nothing there in his eyes. No light glaze over. Barely anything was told by his eyes.

" How scary." I said lightly before lightly pricking the knife on my finger and pressing my hand into the paper. I looked to see his reaction. No surprise.

As I turned my head back to the paper, the paper now had a tree that spread out across the entire paper. It had multiple different fruits but underneath it was people reaching towards its fruits, but to no avail. The tree had a small crown on top of it. Crown seemingly bleeding onto the tree.

"Hmm, that's good, Dalia can teach you how to handle a Heka of Deed. Though it seems you'll have a hard time with this. Pharoah level deed is going to be hard to use." Sobek said lightly patting my head as he got up from his kneel.

"Sobek. Is Dalia supposed to be the one in the library?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Oh yeah, that was probably her. She has a Major kink for books, capital m. She loves that place. Half the books in there are her findings." He said as he stood still seemingly waiting for another question from me.

"Do I have a name?" I couldn't help but ask him. He called me his child so I had to have a name right?

"Nope, you don't have one. I don't know if you'll want one I made anyway. My name literally means crocodile. Exactly what I am the god of?" He said as pointed at me. "You can come up with one if you want one. I'm fine with just calling you my child." He retracted his hand and pulled a little green thing from his pocket.

"Follow me when you've decided what you want as your name. I'll be outside with Dalia. You have 2 cycles to decide." Sobek said walking out of the door again.

I looked to see if unlocking my Heka would give me an achievement but it seemed like this one wasn't much of an achievement for the wheel.

" What should I name myself anyway. Should I just put together random letters. Yeah, that sounds cool enough." I said pulling out the letter blocks that Sobek had given me.

I spent the next cycle trying to find a name and finally, I had gotten the name.

[Sobek]

"How did he do Dalia. Was there anything of note from the boy." I ask the shortie right next to me.

"Well lord Sobek, except for the look in his eyes, there was nothing to note in the boy."

Dalia said as she avoided my eyes.

"Oooo, what was the look in the boys eyes. Enlighten me? " I ask.

"His eyes conveyed excitement, even though I had a whole knife to his neck. He is a nut job." I wasn't surprised by explanation, I found him in the aftermath of the those threes battle. He shouldn't even be living.

"Well, pharaoh rank Heka havers are always. He is going to be the most exciting prospect since Ramses II." I said it trying to get a reaction out of Dalia and reaction I got.

Her eyes widened and her mouth hang wide open. She was probably awe struck at the thought of teaching him. Oh yeah I still have to tell her.

" Your also going to have to the teach the boy. He has a Heka of deed, a bleeding Heka. So I can't help him as I'm not only an abundance, I'm also an image haver. We have nothing in common for having blood so close in alignment. Don't worry I'll deal with his instincts. He will be a monster when I am done with him. " Dalia seemed to still be in shock at the thought of a Pharoah level Heka existing in her lifetime.

"Dont worry Lord Sobek. I'll put my utmost hard work into turning this boy into the most outstanding Heka user of all time." Dalia said almost militant in her promises.

"Oh I know you will dear Dalia." I said before looking towards the sun.
