Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 ice dragon

"Changing the subject, Javis, is it possible to tame it?" Tony asked, his voice filled with curiosity and expectation.

"Sir, there are no concrete records on that. The only way to find out is by testing. However, there is a high possibility that it is viable," Javis replied coldly and calculatedly, without any emotion in his metallic voice.

Tony's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Even if the chance is small, it's still a chance! That's enough for me," he said, a lively smile on his face.

Javis remained expressionless, but his voice sounded slightly more emphatic as he made an announcement: "Sir, I have detected anomalies in the egg. The signals indicate that it is about to hatch."

Tony's eyes widened, and he felt adrenaline rush through his body. "Great! Let's test it right now!" he exclaimed, full of expectations.

Meanwhile, in the imposing golden palace of Asgard, Thor knelt before his father, the all-powerful Odin, who sat majestically on his throne. The immense halls of the palace were illuminated by torches that cast flickering shadows on the walls adorned with ancient sculptures of the gods.

Thor's expression was tense. "Father, another unknown creature has appeared in our territory. I've never seen anything like it. Are you sure the Frost Giants are not behind this?" he asked, his voice filled with doubt.

Beside him, the corpse of an immense tiger with red fur burned with supernatural flames. The creature was at least three meters tall and still emanated intense heat, the air around it shimmering with the fire that refused to consume its resistant flesh.

Odin remained motionless, his wise eyes reflecting deep thoughts. "I understand your concern, my son, but it was not the Frost Giants. Even so, increase Asgard's defenses. Now go and fulfill your duty." His voice was calm but carried unquestionable authority.

Thor clenched his fists, dissatisfied with the answer. "As you wish, Father," he said, though it was evident he wanted to insist further.

Before he could leave, Odin spoke again, this time in a graver tone: "You too, my son."

A soft laugh echoed through the hall. Slowly, from the shadows of one of the ornate columns, Loki emerged, his posture relaxed and an ironic smile on his lips. "Truly, there is no hiding from the great Odin. Your vision is impressive, Father," he said, his voice carrying a feigned respect mixed with amusement.

Thor turned sharply, his face filled with irritation. "Loki! You were not allowed to be here!"

Loki raised his hands in a gesture of apparent innocence. "Calm down, brother. I was just worried. I also care about the kingdom… even knowing exactly where I came from," he said with his usual elegance and a cunning glint in his eyes.

Before Thor could react, a feminine voice intervened with an exhausted tone. "Both of you, don't start. Leave now, please."

Frigga, the queen of Asgard and Odin's wife, watched her sons with a worried look. Her serene expression hid a growing unease.

The two brothers left, leaving Odin and Frigga alone in the immense hall. Silence reigned for a few moments before Frigga broke the tension with a cautious question: "Wouldn't it be better to tell Thor where this threat is? He would handle it without any trouble."

Odin remained thoughtful, his eyes seeming to gaze at something beyond the present. "I would, if I knew. But not even you, with your vision of the future, can see this threat. That makes it even more dangerous."

Frigga sighed, a shadow of worry crossing her face. "I just hope this is not the end of our people… I know this isn't Ragnarok, but this threat doesn't seem any lesser."

Odin slowly nodded, his expression growing even darker. "Midgard and the other realms are facing the same problems. It all started at the same time as in Asgard. I dare say this is not limited to the Nine Realms… Perhaps it goes beyond them."

Frigga closed her eyes for a brief moment, feeling a chill deep in her soul. Something unknown was approaching. Something even the gods could not foresee.

"How much time has passed?" Uriel murmured, his voice slightly sluggish and confused, as if he had just awakened from a long, deep sleep. His eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness of the cave, searching for answers in every cold corner.

"Hm… this cave seems… smaller?" Uriel said in a low voice, a tone of surprise mixed with slight unease. He looked up, where the ceiling now seemed dangerously close. A sense of confinement spread through his chest. He didn't remember growing this much.

- [Ice Dragon's Breath]: A freezing blast capable of turning any being with less than 50 defense points into ice.

- [Frozen Presence]: Creatures without cold resistance begin to freeze slowly just by being near. His body exudes a cold aura that affects the surrounding environment.

- [Ice Scales]: His scales can reflect magical attacks, absorbing part of the mana from the impact to retaliate. The stronger the attack, the higher the mana cost to reflect it.

- [Night Vision]: Like all dragons, Uriel was born with the ability to see clearly in the dark.

- [Flight]: As a dragon, king of the skies, his wings, which were once too small to support his weight, are now large enough to allow him to fly.

Uriel examined his new dark blue scales with a mix of curiosity and fascination. The scales now covered his body imposingly, shimmering with a subtle glow under the cave's entrance light. He ran his hand along them, feeling the intense cold and the resilience now emanating from his skin—a complete contrast to before, when he was more fragile and vulnerable.

"Finally, now I can fly!" he exclaimed, an involuntary smile spreading across his face, while a feeling of freedom surged in his chest. "What kind of dragon would I be if I couldn't?" he corrected himself, laughing at his own words. The statement sounded almost like an affirmation of his identity. What would a dragon be without the ability to dominate the skies?

With a movement of his new wings, Uriel tested their power. They moved with unexpected strength, but still, he almost lost his balance, rising slightly into the air. His head nearly hit the cave ceiling, now much closer. The once spacious cave was now too small to accommodate his new imposing body. The thin ice covering the walls and ceiling cracked slightly with the flap of his wings.

"This ice… must be caused by my [Frozen Presence]," Uriel murmured, pressing a claw against a patch of ice. He felt a wave of power flowing from his body, something he had never experienced before. "It seems this ability is much stronger than I imagined."

A guttural sound from his stomach interrupted him, as a fierce hunger took hold of him. He crouched down, uncovering the goblin's corpse he had buried earlier. The snow was now tinged with a faint red, and Uriel did not hesitate. His body had grown considerably, and with a firm bite, he devoured the goblin, swallowing it with ease. The flesh dissolved quickly under the power of his jaw, and he felt the satisfaction of nourishment filling his growing body, like an energy that propelled him even further.

With the meal finished, he felt his body stronger, as if the very essence of evolution had settled within him, amplifying his strength and abilities.
