Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Endless Grievances

"Anything works?" Tony smirked.

"Y-yes," Harleen responded with a trembling voice.

"I asked you nicely, and yet, what a cheap woman!" Tony sneered, his tone turning serious. "I can help you find that little bastard, but under two conditions! First, come sit by me and make me happy. Second, you must unconditionally accompany me for a month and be at my beck and call after I help you find that little bastard!"

"I-I promise you," Harleen gritted her teeth and nodded.

"Come sit over here quickly!" Tony patted the empty seat next to him. "Give me a massage first! Make me comfortable, and I will call someone to help you find that little bastard."

"I hope you keep your promises when you speak…" Harleen took a deep breath and stood up, then sat down next to Tony.

"Come here, bitch!" Before Harleen could even sit down completely, Tony immediately pulled her into his arms.

Boom!

Just then, the door exploded open like it was made of paper, wood chips flying everywhere. A figure appeared at the doorway—Billy. His eyes were cold, filled with raging anger as he silently stared at the two people on the sofa.

Harleen, who had just realized what was happening, screamed and struggled out of Tony's arms.

"Damn, who dares to ruin my good time? Do you have a death wish?" Tony shouted angrily.

Meanwhile, Harleen trembled all over when she recognized Billy. Tears welled up in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks. Her gaze flashed with a complex mix of shock, resentment, grievance, and even a hint of anticipation.

Why him?

How could the man who ruined her life suddenly appear before her?

Five years ago, on that fateful day, she had saved his life out of kindness. But in return, he took away the most precious thing from her. As Ozin's top beauty and the daughter of the Knight family, she had a bright future ahead. But everything came to an abrupt end that day. When she found out she was pregnant three or four months later, she couldn't bear to deprive the little life inside her, so she gave birth despite all the pressure against it. For five years, except for herself and her younger sister, everyone ridiculed and ostracized them. Even their parents couldn't understand them anymore.

Their grandfather, who had hoped to use Harleen's marriage as a stepping stone into one of Ozin's four great families, had kicked them out when he learned of her pregnancy. Harleen and her father had once worked at the Knight Group, but after the scandal, they were left unemployed. With the Malcom family's heir making it clear that hiring them meant going against him, finding work was nearly impossible.

Desperate, her father had begged the old man of the Knight family multiple times. Eventually, he was reluctantly allowed to work as an ordinary employee in the Cloud City subsidiary of Knight Group. It was barely enough for their family to survive. Because of this, their family of four moved from Ozin to Cloud City.

Over time, she adjusted to her new life, asking for nothing more than for her daughter to grow up healthy. But fate played a cruel joke on her again—her daughter went missing. It was like a bolt from the blue, shattering her entire world.

"Tasha is in trouble, don't you know?" Billy took a deep breath and looked at Harleen with cold eyes.

When he walked into the room and saw her in Tony's arms, his anger nearly consumed him. The guilt he once felt toward Harleen vanished in that moment.

Her daughter had been kidnapped, her fate uncertain, and yet here she was in a hotel room with another man. He never imagined Harleen would be this kind of person.

"Damn it! You're that bastard with Harleen? I'm talking to you, but can't you hear me? Are you tired of living?" Tony, the young master of the Pena family, couldn't stand being ignored by Billy.

He couldn't believe that someone dared to disregard him, a member of the second most powerful family in Cloud City.

Suddenly, a gust of wind swept past, and Tony was sent flying like a ragdoll.

He crashed into the wall behind him and fell heavily to the ground, blood spewing from his mouth. He groaned in pain. "Fuck! I swear, if I don't skin you, I—"

"Get him out of here!" Billy didn't even spare him a glance, his eyes locked onto Harleen.

"Yes!" Casey stepped forward.

"What do you want? If you dare to touch me, I will definitely kill you!" Tony roared as Casey walked toward him.

Casey raised his hand and delivered two sharp slaps. "If you don't want to die, shut up right now!"

With that, he grabbed Tony and dragged him toward the door. As he passed by Billy and Harleen, he hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Commander, saving Tasha is urgent. We can discuss other matters later."

With that, Casey exited the room.

Billy took a deep breath and turned back to Harleen, his voice icy. "I'm asking you a question. Didn't you hear me? You don't take care of your daughter—I don't blame you. Tell me who took Tasha, and I'll go save—"

Before he could finish, Harleen walked up to him, her gaze cold, and slapped him across the face. Billy could have dodged, but he stood still, staring at her without flinching.

"Who are you to speak to me like this?" Harleen cried out, her tears falling like raindrops.

"It's been five years. Do you know what kind of life I've been living?"

"Do you think I came to see Tony today for a secret rendezvous? Do you think I, Harleen, am just a woman to be taken advantage of? Not only are you insulting me, but you are also insulting yourself! I regret ever saving you five years ago. If it weren't for that incident, I wouldn't have fallen into this situation today! And now, you've come back, questioning me as if you have the right. Tasha is my daughter. You have nothing to do with her. Her affairs are none of your concern! From now on, don't ever let me see you again!"

Her voice turned hoarse. Her clothes were soaked with tears.

As soon as she finished speaking, she shoved Billy aside and ran toward the door, covering her face with trembling hands.

"Harleen!" Billy quickly reached out to grab her arm.

"Don't touch me! Get off me!" Harleen forcefully swung her arm and rushed out.
