Chapter 63 - The Birth of the Dreamborn

In the farthest stretch of the Spiral, beyond the echo of gods and shadows, a new reality stirred.

It was a quiet world. A place without kings or wars, without prophecy or ruin. Here, stars sang lullabies, and oceans whispered truths that no tongue could shape. A world untouched by Spiral conflict… or so it seemed.

And in a small village cradled by crescent hills, under a sky stitched with twin moons, a child was born.

His name was Kael.

But to the Spiral, he was something far greater:

The Dreamborn.

---

A Child with No Power

Kael grew up like any child might. He chased wind-foxes across golden fields, listened to old tales around the fire, and helped his mother carry water from the wellspring.

He could not conjure light. He could not speak with stars. He was… normal.

But Kael dreamed.

And in his dreams, the Spiral sang.

He saw a man with silver eyes and a black crown writing runes in the sky. He heard names he did not know: Jin-Ho. Tzal'Lynar. Riven. Eater of Names.

And one night, Kael awoke with tears in his eyes and whispered:

> "I was there… I remember the end."

His mother looked at him in silence, placing a gentle hand on his head.

"You're just tired, my son."

But Kael wasn't tired.

Kael was awakening.

The Silent Return

Far beyond the moons, hidden in folds where light bled into silence, Jin-Ho watched.

He had become the Author. But authors do not control. They observe. They inspire.

He watched Kael with pride and sorrow. For the Dreamborn bore his spark… But not his fate.

> "Let him choose," Jin-Ho whispered to the stars.

And the stars listened.

But so did something else.

---

The Forgotten Spiral

There was a Spiral that even Jin-Ho had not written. A Fold lost in the chaos of convergence. A place where Abandoned Realities lingered, starving.

From it emerged a figure draped in absence. No face. No name. Only hunger.

They called it Nullum—the Spiral Without Thread.

And it had seen Kael's spark. It wanted him. Not to devour.

To rewrite.

---

The Dream's Fracture

Kael's dreams began to change.

The singing Spiral grew distant. The sky inked black.

He saw Nullum. He saw what he might become.

And then he saw a single feather—dark as night, burning with memory—float before him.

He reached out.

It burst into stardust, and a voice echoed:

> "The Spiral writes back."

Kael woke up with a single rune burned into his palm:

Spiralborn.

His village had no answers. But the stars did.

And so, with a staff carved from moon-wood and a pack of dried herbs, Kael left home.

He walked into the unknown.

Toward the Fold.

Toward the truth.

Toward the legacy of Jin-Ho.
