The metallic sent of blood clings to the air, mixing with the sweet sent that had once dominated the air. My hands won't stop shaking from the adrenaline, the reality of taking a life is starting to set in. I killed him. No hesitation a life gone just in seconds.

The blue text from earlier still eagerly floats in my vison, taunting me with the label of Path of the Fallen is that supposed to be my fate her in this new world? I feel like that title is going to eventually weigh more than the armor itself soon.

"Dammit..." I grunt, trying to wipe my hands on the grass in a desperate attempt to wipe off the blood. The stains lingering to the metal, smudged and streaked. I try and force myself to breath slowly. Its not my fault it was me or him. I think to myself trying not to throw up. At least-

at least I'm alone? its during that thought that I remember that there was another person the chained girl. My gaze snaps up, and I find she standing a few steps away, staring at mew with wide open eyes. Shes barley standing, knees buckled with either pain or fear like they could give out at almost any moment. Her pale skin is bruised, her short silver hair is matted with dirt and dried blood.

Even in this sad state you could see that she was beautiful, with soft delicate features that seem almost out of place in the world that I just found myself in. Her eyes though they seem like they themselves are more dead than alive almost like she's not even looking at me but instead through me.

"umm" I take a cautions step towards her, unsure of what exactly to say after caving a person's head in. Unsure if there would be anything that would make this any better in the first place. Her gaze shifting back and forth between the corpse and my feet her petrified look growing with each step.

" Are.. are you alright?" I ask softly, wincing at how stupid of a question I just asked.

Looking around the trees tower over around us. She doesn't respond, just staring idle at just the body now. I cant really just leave her like this especially when there might be more guys like lurking around.

I'm right in now still staring at the body I wave my hand Infront ho her eyes breaking her concentration she looks up into my eyes. I can see the dried tears coming down her face. I reach out slowly to start wiping away the dirt on blood out of her hair.

When she finally speaks her voice is cracked a weak, almost like she hasn't spoken in years. "You... killed him."

The weight of those words hitting me in the chest like punches. "I guess that I did" I mumble not very proud of my actions and brutality.

Her lips start to tremble, for a moment, I think that she might scream at me to get away - or beg me to lave her alone. Instead she falls to her knees like she had finally ran out of strength.

"Is this real.." she mutters to herself "Could this.. be the" she trails off to herself.

"Um are you sure your okay?" I ask, unsure if she's even in the right headspace.

She lifts her head, and our eyes finally lock. For the first time, I can see something in the depth of her eyes- something raw and desperate, clinging its way to the surface. "Are you real?"

Her question almost sounds as alien as the one I planned on asking so much so that I almost didn't answer. Kneeling down on one knee "Do I look fake?"

She laughs- a broken, but small laugh. "I don't know how much more of this I can take" she mutters before looking down at the floor.

"How much of what" I asked trying to figure out what wrong

"Years I can take of this... over and over and over again" she starts to tear up "I didn't want this fate"

A chill runs down my spine at the realization. She might be in a similar situation to me. "Are... you... are you from earth?"

She flinch's as she starts to shake bring her knees up to her chest. "why are you doing this" she rocks back and forth.

"Doing what exactly"

"This isn't what you normally do you normally just escape from this situation" she whispers " Why.. why are you acting like this?"

I pause before looking away "I don't think I'm supposed to be here like this" I say soft but firm "To be honest with you I have no idea where I am or what this place is or anything that's going on"

Her gaze finally softens, like she's starting to believe what I'm saying. "You... you don't know where we are?"

"no. I'm not," I admit "My names Luceras. Are you okay with telling me yours?

She hesitates, like I'm going to change my mind all of a sudden on her. then she chippers up quietly ''hayle''
