Because there was a defect with beast-type bloodlines, they couldn't use weapons like swords, spears, or blades. That was why body cultivation techniques were popular among beast-type bloodline warriors. Only high-realm bloodline warrior clans and noble families had access to such techniques, making them rare and difficult to obtain.
Lu Shen might have chosen all top-tier techniques if he wanted to. However, his low bloodline warrior realm meant that attempting more advanced techniques could harm his foundation.
The spirit had advised him to focus on lower-level techniques first, allowing him to build a solid base for the future. As he grew stronger and advanced in his warrior realm, he would eventually be able to unlock more powerful techniques.
One thing, however, confused him. In the Star Hall, there were techniques labeled as Skill Techniques and Skill Fusion Techniques. He had seen it written at the top of the technique storage area.
He knew that skills could only be inherited through a warrior's bloodline, not learned from a book. Yet, no matter how many times he asked the spirit about it, he received no answer, only silence.
After a brief moment, the Origin Bracelet suddenly changed the subject.
"Good, you know what's best for you, kid. Get some rest. Tomorrow, head to the Origin Land to devour snake-type beasts and improve your bloodline grade" the spirit advised, that he need mental rest from first battle.
"Umm…" Lu Shen frowned when the spirit didn't answer his question. But seeing no point in pressing further, he simply nodded.
Right now, he needed rest.
Despite, many techniques he had acquired, he didn't immediately begin cultivating them. Time may have stood still in the Origin Land, but outside, it was already late at night when he went to origin gate. His first battle against the demon beast had left him mentally drained.
After exiting the Star Hall, he quickly fell asleep, utterly exhausted.
The Next Day..
At six in the morning, the sound of birdsong filled the air, accompanied by a beautiful sunrise. Lu Shen woke up, grabbed some small food, and used the Origin Bracelet to enter the Origin Land once more.
"I should be careful this time, not like yesterday when I got killed by a rank one monster" he muttered to himself.
As he traveled through the Origin Land, Lu Shen encountered several beasts. This time, however, he easily defeated them, devouring their origin energy with each kill. His bloodline refinement steadily increased, reaching 5%.
His goal for today was clear, to find a beast with the same bloodline as his and devour it to gain a new element.
The outer layer of the low-level origin land were filled with relatively weak demonic beasts, nothing too dangerous for him. Unlike before, he handled them with ease, swiftly killing and absorbing their energy.
After a long search, he finally spotted a rank one wood-type snake demon basking in the sun. It was nestled atop a large boulder, its three-meter-long body coiled in a relaxed state. Its green scales, adorned with black spots, allowed it to blend into the environment easily.
Lu Shen carefully approached and activated his ability to analyze its status.
Demon Beast: Wood Snake
Rank: 1
Affinity: Wood
Strength: 110
Endurance: 70
Agility: 50
Skill: Binding wood
Description: A wood type snake demon born from devouring a wood type spiritual fruit
[Skill: Binding Wood]
Strong roots twisting like serpents as they rush to their prey in an unbreakable grip. The more the trapped creature struggled, the tighter the roots becames.
-----
"Are spiritual herbs and fruits found here?" Lu Shen asked, curiosity shining in his eyes.
"yes" the spirit replied in a calm voice.
"This area is rich in spiritual energy, so spiritual herbs and fruits naturally grow here. These plants thrive in high-energy environments, absorbing spiritual essence to enhance their properties. However, they are quite rare in low-level origin land."
"That explains why I didn't see any yesterday" Lu Shen eyes dimm in disponenment as he may hardly have chance to encounter those spiritual treasures.
"Focus on your target" the spirit reminded him.
"Ahh, yes" Lu Shen nodded, shifting his focus back to the Wood Snake.
After carefully surveying the surroundings for the best angle of attack, Lu Shen activated his stealth skill, concealing his aura completely. This ensured that he remained undetected by the demon beast. His ability made him nearly invisible to the beast's senses, allowing him to approach unnoticed.
Step by step, he closed the distance.
The snake remained unaware of his presence, its body still basking in the sunlight. Nestled on the large boulder, its green-and-black scales blended with the forest green color.
Lu Shen's eyes sharpened.
Lu Shen's steps were light and measured, each movement carefully calculated to avoid making even the slightest noise. He knew that a single misstep could alert the snake and turn the predator into the prey.
When he was within striking distance, Lu Shen paused, steadying his breath. He focused his spiritual energy into his fists and ready to activated his Bloodline Skill,"Inferno Strike".
A surge of fire spiritual energy coursed through his veins, the heat imetaing red color out of his body.
With a using swift skill to increase his speed, he jump at the wood snake.
"Inferno Strike!"
Flames engulfed his fists as his figure blurred, moving at blinding speed.
"Boom!"
The impact was devastating. His fists crashed into the snake's head, and a violent explosion of fire erupted, burning nearby trees. The sheer force of the blow shattered the boulder upon which the snake had been basking, sending shattered stone fragments flying in all directions.
"Hisss!"
The wood snake let out a piercing, pained screech as its skull caved in under Lu Shen's attack. Blood splattered, staining the forest floor in crimson. Its body trembled violently for a moment before collapsing on the ground.
Lu Shen stood over the corpse, breathing steadily, his hands still covered in blood. His strength is far stronger than when he first came here, he had easily killed the rank one demon beast with a single surprise attack.
However, he knew that his victory wasn't due to raw strength alone.
"If I hadn't used a surprise attack, this fight would have been much harder."
His golden eyes scanned the surrounding forest, seeing if other demon beasts lurked in the shadows. He knew well that a moment of carelessness could lead to his own death.
"I need to be more cautious. There are stronger demon beasts out there, and I can't afford to be reckless."
Clenching his fists, he made a firm decision.
"I must practice my body cultivation technique and improve my strength as soon as possible. I can't always rely on surprise attacks."
With a final glance at the slain Wood Snake, Lu Shen activated his Devour ability.
"Devour."
The moment he spoke, a warm, surging pure energy flowed into his body, spreading through his limbs like liquid fire. His bloodline resonated, absorbing the energy of the wood snake .

Strong roots burst from the ground, twisting like serpents as they rush toward the opponent, trapping them in an unbreakable grip. The more the target struggles, the tighter the roots become.
Lu Shen stared at his updated status, deep in thought. His Bloodline Refinement had increased, but he still had a long way to go.
The refinement process was divided into stages:
Early Stage (0% - 25%)
Middle Stage (25% - 50%)
Late Stage (50% - 75%)
Peak Stage (75% - 100%)
Seeing his bloodline name change and feeling a surge of vitality, Lu Shen knew he had awakened the wood element. Excited, he try to use the Five Element Refinement Technique, then he notice that his cultivation speed had increased.
Around him, multicolored lights red, blue, green, and more danced in the air, but he found that particularly green and red spiritual energies rushing into his body.
"So this is how the wood element feels, so refreshing."
"The fire element is warm and destructive, while the wood element feels refreshing and peaceful."
"Every element has its own unique properties" the spirit explained. "The more elements one possesses, the better they can adapt to different environments and situations."
"So if I had the water element, I'd be stronger in water-rich areas and adapt more easily to them" Lu Shen thought.
Then, Lu Shen decide to search more snake type demon beast.
After searching for more than two hours,
Lu Shen still hadn't encountered any snake-type demon beasts. Instead, he had come across a few weak rank-one demon beasts. Though he killed and devoured them, he noticed that while his cultivation improved, his bloodline grade remained unchanged.
The spirit explained that bloodline upgrades required directing origin energy into the bloodline. However, this method would only increase bloodline grade.
If he instead upgraded his bloodline at the peak of each warrior realm, he might evolve into a powerful beast bloodline.
"So that's how it works... Hmm, then I'll follow that path" Lu Shen decided.
After calculating, he realized he had devoured nearly ten rank-one demon beasts, yet his cultivation had only increased slightly. Frustration welled up inside his heart.
"How long will it take to kill enough to break through to the next realm?"
Racking his brain for a solution, he eventually decided to focus on what he knew best, hunting demon beasts to grow stronger.
An hour later, Lu Shen realized that his time in the Low-Level Origin Land was limited to three hours. As a low-realm Bloodline Warrior, he could only remain in this realm for a short period. This information was something he had just learned from the Origin Bracelets spirit.
----
Back in his room, Lu Shen immersed himself in cultivating the Five Element Refinement Technique.
Three hours passed in deep practice.
"In just three hours, my cultivation improved by 2%," he marveled. "This technique is incredibly fast than devouring demon beasts."
Even so, he understood that while his progress in the lower warrior realms was rapid, advancement would slow significantly in the higher realms.
Despite that, he couldn't help but wonder
If top Earth-rank techniques are this powerful, what about top Heaven-rank ones?
The thought of refining his bloodline with a Heaven-rank technique made his mouth water.
However, the spirit warned him not to chew more than he could bite, as his body was not yet strong enough to withstand the pressure of a Heaven-rank cultivation technique.
Such techniques required a solid cultivation foundation and a powerful physique. Forcing himself to cultivate one prematurely would only harm his body.
-----
By the time he finished, it was already 10 in the morning. Shifting his focus, he began practicing the Golden Body Technique.
The moment he activated it, a wave of tearing pain coursed through his body. Clenching his teeth, he pushed forward. He knew that pain was an unavoidable part of body refinement.
Channeling spiritual energy, he concentrated on refining his skin, the first step toward achieving iron skin.
Four hours of relentless training passed, and he continued enduring the painful process.
Sometime later...

"Haha! My strength has increased so much!" Lu Shen grinned.
But his excitement was short-lived as a disgusting smell filled the room.
"Ugh, what's that smell?" He wrinkled his nose.
Looking down, Lu Shen noticed his body expelling a thick, black liquid. His eyes widened as he immediately recognized it.
This was the impurities that had accumulated throughout his life were being expelled due to the effect of body refinement.
He sighed in relief.
