Long ago, a king from one of the Four Great Nations sought ultimate power to unite humanity under his reign. Through forbidden experiments, he gained god-like abilities—but at a devastating cost. His ambition tore open dimensional rifts to the Otherworld, unleashing chaos upon the land. As centuries pass, the gods of the Otherworld fix their Gaze, preparing to claim Earth as their own. Humanity’s fate hangs by a thread. Will anyone rise to stop them, or will Earth fall to divine conquest?  

Kuro never saw himself as a hero. He wasn’t chasing power or destiny—he just wanted to survive.

But survival became impossible the moment he and Arthur were taken—ripped from their world and thrown into a realm ruled by gods who see mortals as nothing more than obstacles in their way. The gods don’t fear him. They don’t see him as anything special. he was a just another pawn to them who would eventually be erased, 

But Kuro refuses to be erased.

Every battle forces him to grow stronger, to wield a power he never asked for and still doesn’t understand. It surges inside him, unpredictable at first, but with each fight, he learns to control it. Even so, one question haunts him: Why does he have this power at all?

He’s not alone in this fight. Along the way, he finds allies— who stand with him not because of fate, but because they’ve made the same choice: they will not kneel.

Together, they carve a path through the gods’ world, pushing forward, battle after battle, He realizes that if he wants to win he willl have to accept the fate, to become one of them,

And when he does, he will decide for himself what it truly means to be divine.

For the past 250 years, the world has been drowning in chaos. The Rifts are opening more frequently, and the Withering Trees are growing larger with each passing day.


The pollen they secrete transforms humans into mindless beasts—monstrous creatures with strength far beyond any normal human. But among them, a rare few retain their intellect and physical form, awakening inhuman abilities. These individuals are known as "Retainers."


To combat this crisis, the Four Great Nations united to form the United Nations Front (UNF). Their mission: to isolate the Withering Zones—now known as Forbidden Zones. Massive steel walls and dome-like structures enclose these cursed lands, containing the horrors within.


The Retainers: Humanity's Last Line of Defense


Retainers are organized into elite Ranger Squads, specially trained to venture into the Forbidden Zones. Their tasks:


Harvest rare materials from the depths of corruption.


Eliminate the Withered Ones before they spread beyond control.


Retainers are ranked by their strength and abilities, categorized from Category 5 to Category 0:


Category 5 – The weakest, with minor enhancements in strength and senses.


Category 0 – The apex warriors, possessing godlike strength and logic-defying abilities.


The Forbidden Zones: Where Death Reigns


Forbidden Zones are classified based on size and threat level. The deadliest among them are the Alpha Zones, where even the strongest Retainers tread carefully. The ranks are as follows:


Alpha Zones – The most dangerous, teeming with horrors beyond imagination.


Beta Zones – Lethal but containable threats.


C, D, and F Zones – Varying levels of danger, but never to be underestimated.


As the world edges closer to annihilation, the Retainers stand as the last hope for humanity. But with the Rifts growing larger and the Forbidden Zones spreading, the real question remains—can the tide be truly turned, or is this war already lost as the Gods of Otherworld Gaze Upon this Planet ?
