The Great Demon War was described in the book as one of the most devastating conflicts in ancient times.
During that era, there existed Six Supremes—individuals chosen as the strongest of their respective races. Each Supreme held unmatched power, and they came from the Human, Elf, Dragon, Dwarf, Fairy, and Demon races.
Among them, the Dragon Supreme was considered the strongest, though also the most lethargic, rarely interfering in worldly affairs. Because of this, there was an peace era, as none of the Supremes sought to wage war or challenge one another given they are almost equal in power.
But that peace shattered when the Demon King unearthed a lost power from an even more ancient era—a power so immense that it allowed him to challenge the Six Supremes.
His first target was the Dragon Supreme, whom he killed, weakening the once-feared dragon race.
After that, he set his sights on the Fairy King- The Second strongest Supreme and killed him as well.
The Fairies, unlike the Dragons, were a peaceful and gentle race, uninterested in power struggles. But their true value lay in their Fairy Dust, a miraculous substance that could enhance one's mana capacity and even grant enlightenment to mages.
With the pillar of their strength—the Fairy King—gone, the Fairies were left defenseless.
They fought back as best as they could, but their numbers dwindled rapidly. Over 90% of their population perished, forcing the survivors into hiding.
In their final desperate act, they were forced to refine the Fairy King's body into the Fairy Ring, an artifact of immense power. But in the chaos as they decided to hide in hidden pocket dimension, the ring was lost, vanishing from their hands-The fairies too afraid to came out of the hidden pocket dimension chose to forget about it.
As the outside world continued to wage wars among themselves, the Great Demon War finally ended when the Demon King was slain—defeated by the combined efforts of the remaining Supremes.
With his death, the war was over, and the Demons were forced to flee to a distant, isolated continent, far from the lands where most races resided.
Thus, the world entered the era of peace once again, but the scars of the Great Demon War remained, leading it to be recorded in History books of all races.

"Hm, so I have to learn the Fairy language to access the Fairy Ring, huh?" Fenric murmured as he turned the page.
The next pages were filled with Fairy script, written in the language of their kind.
"I guess I have to decode it somehow," he sighed.
A faint smile tugged at his lips. Fairy language was still spoken, though rarely, as it enhanced the power of spirit magic. This meant learning it wouldn't be too difficult, as long as he had the right resources.
"I should start by learning the basics first," he muttered, carefully placing the ancient grimoire back in his Mana sea.
Now that the blood contract had been formed, he could store the grimoire within his Mana Sea—a privilege one gains after forming a contract with any Powerful enough Artifact.
The Mana Sea was the core of a person's magical power, located just above the heart. It served as a reservoir of energy for Spirit Mages, Mages, Aura Users, and Druids alike.
However, the size of one's Mana Sea depended on their innate talent:
A common person had a Mana Sea the size of a small well.
A talented individual might have one comparable to a pond.
Some rare prodigies possessed Mana Seas as vast as large lakes.
And Fenric?
He was one of those rare individuals. His Mana Sea was as vast as a great lake, a testament to the powerful bloodline he had inherited—one that had been long ignored and cast aside.
Now, with the Grimoire of the Spirit Sage safely stored within his Mana Sea, Fenric's journey toward mastering Spirit Magic had begun.
Without wasting any time, he headed straight to the language section of the Royal Library. The towering shelves were filled with books on various tongues—some long-forgotten, others still in use among scholars and mages.
His eyes scanned the titles until he found several books on the Fairy language. Some were dictionaries, others historical records, and a few were spellbooks that contained traces of fairy script.
Taking a deep breath, he gathered them all, settled into a quiet corner, and began his study.

Mavis, on the other hand, left the Royal Library and arrived at the Magic Academy—a prestigious institution that accepted students based solely on their innate talent, regardless of their social status.
Here, commoners, nobles, and even royalty were treated as equals—at least in theory.
The academy was founded by the legendary Archmage of the Seas, Cleric Magnus, a man who believed in the purity of magic—that one's birth should not dictate their right to wield it.
His vision was an academy where magic would transcend bloodlines and class divisions, ensuring that anyone with potential could hone their abilities.
For centuries, this ideal stood strong. However after his death, in recent years, Noble influence had begun to seep into the academy's administration, bringing corruption and favoritism along with it.
Now, while commoners could still enroll, they were frequently ignored, their talents overlooked in favor of noble students, whose family pride and influence held more sway than skill alone.
Mavis sighed as she walked through the academy gates.
"Magnus' dream… how far it has fallen."
She didn't like this place.
Even when she was offered the position of Headmistress, she refused.
She knew that in the end, she would just become another pawn in the hands of those who sought to control the academy, molding it to fit their desires rather than its true purpose.
Yet, here she was again.
Mavis clenched her fists, her voice barely above a whisper.
"You better have a damn good reason for this, Third Prince… or all this disgust I feel will be repaid to you in full."
Meanwhile, back in the Royal Library, a shiver ran down Fenric's spine—a strange, primal sensation, as if he were being watched by a predator.
He paused for a moment, instinctively looking around.
Nothing.
Shaking off the unease, he focused back on the Fairy language books, determined to continue his studies.
