Chapter 7 - Perhaps Similar Ambitions?

As they drove away from Lucius' house, Christian finally spoke.

"So, you're telling me you're not really pregnant and this is all a scheme?"

"Yes, I'm absolutely sure of that. Besides, you can have me verified if you need confirmation," Silva answered measurely.

Glancing at Christian, she noticed a faint smile on his lips. A strange feeling stirred in her chest.

"Is he… pleased with my answer?" Silva thought coldly. "What's he up to?"

"Well, that certainly would have been an issue if it were true," Christian remarked, his smile never faltering.

"Anyway, I only offered to help you because that friend of yours brought your situation to my attention."

Then, leaning in, he whispered something into her ear.

"What?!" Silva's eyes widened in shock as she thought.

"I'll help you... as long as you agree to my only condition," Christian added smoothly.

"So let me reiterate—are you still willing to proceed with this marriage?" He extended his hand toward her.

Silva stared at this man faintly smirking for a moment before placing her hand in his, her grip firm and cold.

"As long as you support me against them, then I'm in," she said, her voice steady.

"Though am not sure what, he's planing with that condition, I actually don't mind this," she thought, her determination solidifying.

"After all, this marriage is about using each other anyway."

Meanwhile, back at Lucius' house…

"Well, that was a wise choice, but don't you think quite off he did it because of her?" Gabby asked, glancing at his son.

"Almost as if it already preplanned!"

"Of course," Lucius replied. "But given his actions, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. After all his initiation to my contract he previously rejected seem like he's will to do anything for her."

He leaned back, a smirk playing on his lips. "Though, that what it seems like!"

"Though I initially thought marrying her to that brat would be a disaster—especially with our rocky history and his superiority complex, which I absolutely despise in a kid like him—this situation might actually work in my favor." His thought smirking deepened into a diabolical grin. "For now, I need him."

"If that's the case…" Gabby mused, watching Lucius carefully. "Now that we have two sons-in-law from the Brando household, I'm curious—which one will you be supporting?"

**************

As Silva entered Christian's villa, the doctor continued attending to her. The moment Christian walked in, the doctor immediately stood up, pausing his work.

"She's right, sir. She's not pregnant," the doctor confirmed.

Without further acknowledgment, Christian waved his hand in dismissal. As the doctor left, Christian crouched in front of Silva.

"Now that we have that confirmation, I'd like to propose a rather interesting deal," he said, carefully placing bandages on her bruised face.

"Didn't he say he only needed one thing from me?" Silva thought, glaring at him.

Sensing her suspicion, Christian leaned in, his voice a whisper against her ear.

"Don't worry, it doesn't go against my main objective for this marriage." A smirk played on his lips.

Pulling away, he slipped his hands casually into his pockets. "Anyway, I need you to recover from those bruises," he said coolly.

He took a step back, his expression unreadable. "After all, I need you healthy enough to help you." A faint smirk ghosted his face.

As Christian left, Silva sat in silence,

"His request doesn't oppose the main objective?" she murmured, eyes fixed on the doorway.

"Wait… don't tell me… he plan to use this due to family issues"

She covered her mouth, her narrowed eyes gleaming as realization struck.

"Despite being a gamble, the possibility is high," she mused, her gaze turning ice-cold.

A ghost of a smirk played on her lips.

"Oh… he truly is the one."

"I may not know exactly what he wants or what his main objective is… but that will be determined in due time."
