Chapter 10 - The Gathering Storm

Chapter 10:

The world stood on the brink of chaos. Smoke curled from ruined villages, blood stained the earth, and whispers of the Crimson Demon spread like wildfire. The Five Great Nations—once bastions of strength and unity—were now shadows of their former selves, their greatest warriors cut down mercilessly.

In the Land of Iron, neutral ground chosen for its defenses and isolation, the Kage Summit convened. Snow fell silently, blanketing the land in a cold, unfeeling white—a fitting backdrop for the grim assembly.

Raikage A stood with his arms crossed, muscles taut, face twisted in fury. The loss of countless shinobi, including trusted allies, was a bitter wound. Beside him, Darui and Cee remained vigilant.

Gaara, stoic and composed, observed the room. Though his expression betrayed little, the weight of Shikamaru's death and the massacre of Konoha's elite hung heavy on his mind. Temari and Kankuro stood behind him, eyes hard.

Mizukage Mei Terumī's beauty was marred by a deep frown. The destruction wrought by Naruto threatened not just the Land of Fire but the world itself. Ao and Chojuro flanked her, tension clear in their stances.

The Fourth Tsuchikage, Kurotsuchi, leaned forward, eyes narrowed. "He's a monster, plain and simple. We can't treat him like an ordinary enemy. We need overwhelming force."

A heavy silence lingered until the doors creaked open.

All eyes turned as Tsunade entered, her steps slow but resolute. Wrinkles of grief marred her face. The weight of Konoha's ruin and the death of her loved ones had aged her. Shizune accompanied her, eyes red from crying.

Raikage's glare was sharp. "Took your time, Hokage. Would've thought the destruction of your village would light a fire under you."

Tsunade met his gaze coldly. "I'm here now. Let's get this over with."

Gaara broke the tension. "Naruto's power surpasses anything we've faced. The Akatsuki, the Ten-Tails—nothing compares. We need a strategy."

Kurotsuchi scoffed. "A strategy? What strategy beats a demon with infinite chakra and monstrous strength? Our best bet is an ambush—throw everything we've got and hope he dies."

Mei folded her arms. "Reckless. We don't even know the extent of his abilities."

Tsunade's fists clenched. "He was once one of us. We need to find a way to weaken him."

The Raikage's booming voice silenced the room. "Sentimentality will get us killed. The boy you knew is dead. We kill him, or he kills us all!"

Gaara raised a hand. "Perhaps a sealing jutsu. If we can restrain him—"

Kurotsuchi interjected. "And who has the strength to hold him down? The kid's beyond anything our fathers faced."

Tsunade's eyes hardened. "We use his weakness against him."

Mei arched a brow. "And what weakness would that be?"

Tsunade's gaze never wavered. "Kurama. The Nine-Tails' chakra is a double-edged sword. If we disrupt his control over it, even momentarily, we can exploit the gap."

The Raikage's fists flexed. "That's a gamble."

"It's the only one we've got," Tsunade insisted.

After a moment, Gaara nodded. "Agreed. But we'll need power and precision. I suggest a combined assault—distraction, containment, and sealing. Each Kage will lead a division."

Plans were laid. The Kages agreed to strike swiftly, coordinating their forces into a massive assault. The aim was clear—destroy the Crimson Demon or die trying.

The wind howled through barren mountains as Naruto stood atop a cliff, eyes closed. The malevolent presence within him coiled, whispering promises of chaos.

He opened his eyes, crimson and cold. The scent of blood still lingered, sweet and intoxicating. The power was addicting—limitless. He had crushed those who stood against him, and more would fall. Yet, a flicker of annoyance tugged at his mind.

"They gather," the demon within him purred. "Scared little insects planning rebellion."

Naruto smirked. "Let them come. I'll paint the earth red."

Three days later, the battlefield stretched for miles—an open plain surrounded by rocky cliffs. Shinobi gathered, thousands strong, representing the best each village had to offer. Kage stood at the forefront, radiating authority and resolve.

Gaara's sand swirled ominously. Tsunade cracked her knuckles. The Raikage flexed, lightning dancing over his frame. Mei's eyes gleamed, and Kurotsuchi's stance was unyielding.

"He comes," Gaara announced.

A sinister chakra washed over the field, suffocating and vile. From the distant horizon, a black silhouette strode forward. Cloaked in blood-red energy, eyes blazing like twin fires—Naruto emerged.

He looked upon the assembled forces, expression mocking. "So many have gathered to die," he taunted, voice carrying effortlessly. "This will be fun."

The Raikage shot forward, lightning crackling. "Die, monster!"

Naruto sidestepped, catching the Raikage's fist. Bones shattered with a sickening crunch. A crimson fist retaliated, sending A hurtling back. He crashed, bloodied but alive.

Gaara's sand surged, binding Naruto's legs. "Sand Burial!" The earth crushed inward, but Naruto burst free in a pulse of malevolent chakra.

Mei unleashed acidic mist, and Kurotsuchi hurled molten rock. Naruto swept a clawed hand, crimson chakra dispersing their attacks.

Tsunade leaped, fists glowing with monstrous strength. Her punch connected, sending Naruto skidding back, the ground trembling. A gash marred his cheek, slowly healing.

Naruto grinned, crimson energy swirling. "Impressive. But not enough."

Gaara's eyes hardened. "Now!"

A coordinated strike commenced—earth, fire, wind, water, and lightning raining down. Explosions rocked the field, dust and smoke rising. The shinobi forces launched coordinated attacks, overwhelming Naruto in a storm of jutsu.

But the smoke cleared, revealing Naruto—bloodied but smiling wickedly. The air grew cold as his chakra flared, forming crimson arms that lashed out. Shinobi screamed, crushed and torn apart.

Gaara's eyes widened. "He's too strong!"

Tsunade cursed. "We need the seal now!"

A squad of sealing specialists charged, desperate to restrain him. Naruto smirked, eyes flashing with cruel amusement. In an instant, he vanished and reappeared, severing limbs and spilling blood.

Tsunade's resolve hardened. She charged, fists glowing. Naruto met her strike, their clash shaking the earth. She staggered back, blood dripping.

"You're weak, old woman," Naruto taunted.

Tsunade's glare was fierce. "Then I'll show you true power!"

The Kages regrouped, battered but unbroken. United, they launched one final assault. Jutsu collided, earth-shattering force rippling outward.

But as the dust settled, Naruto emerged, wounded but grinning. The seal had failed.

The Kages' hope crumbled.

Naruto's laughter echoed—a sound of madness and bloodlust. "You're all just insects."

The Crimson Demon's reign continued, and the shinobi world's hope flickered—fading into darkness.

The nightmare was far from over. The Five Great Nations were broken, their greatest warriors defeated. The Crimson Demon stood unchallenged, a force of destruction.

The world wept, and darkness consumed all.
